My fave Hawkwind album is Warrior on the Edge of Time. I was 19yrs old in 1985 and at a friends house I found a tape with WOTEOT, and Angels Egg on the other side. WOTEOT took me on a journey through time and space the like I had never been on before, I've been a fan ever since and still to this day I listen to it on a regular basis...I also got into Gong on that day, Angels Egg and Camembert Electrique are also fantastic albums...Remember folks Space Is Deep...
What a good memory after all this wild years! Noone can say, pot, mushrooms & the softer sort of LSD (not STP) makes all of us hippies stupid and that we couldn't use our minds after consuming it. Of course... overdose parties can impact one negative. Mostly if it'll be done over & over. But he is the proof that ,if taken properly (and stopped at the point of getting aware when its over the limit) that it has a big creative & even a healing impact for many. Dave Brock is a smart nice & grounded character. Very cool hearing him remembering the Hawkwind History! By the way....contact me if you also want to start a band doing Hawkwind sort of Space Rock Band. My old swiss bands broken up years ago...i miss to play some of the classic stuff. We fucked it up for many reasons. The talented ones left because of vanity, too less money, drugs and endless discussions about who is in charge. Well.. When Dave Brock heard Hawkwinds 1976 album, Astounding Sounds Amazing Music on vinyl for the first time, he took the record off the record player, and frisbeed it out of the window. Dave was not impressed with that album 😂
