Yeah I just found one that works for me. You have to make sure all anchor points are set to ( 0,0 ) on both shapes. Note that both shape layers have 2 transform panels - 1 for shape and 1 for layer - make sure ALL anchor points are set to 0,0. Also make sure that the scale is the same for both layers. Let me know if that works for you.
WOW....I just landed on this video as I was trying to learn how to morph an old tv set into a new one... best and shortest explanation I have found on morphing....I guess am subscribing immediately
OMG YOU ARE AMAZING!! thank you so much! was thinking it was going to be so complicated. love your videos! they are making my work much more easier. keep it up!
The shapes keep moving and I cant stop it. Even after setting all anchor points to 0,0. Followed everything in the vid but I get different results?? Edit: I can get it working when both shapes are on the same layer, but not when both shapes are on different layers like the tutorial. Edit2: I got it working by lining up all anchor points and positions of both the layer and shape properties but it took many more steps than this (great) tutorial. When lining up the properties, it took both shapes completely off screen and I had to drag them back together! Weird, but got there eventually.
Hello I have a problem, after placing the anchor point of the second shape in the desired place, the shapes are morphed by changing the displacement, while I have not moved the position at all.
Hi Mitchell! I really like the way you do the morph, but when I do it, there is a problem. When the star turns into a circle, my shape moves by itself! What should I do to fix it? Sorry, Im not good at english😁😁😁
Looks great, but when I tried to do it the "Convert to Besier Path" command was grayed out. For the life of me I could not figure out how to make it work!!
while doing this the positions are getting messed up , the shape is morphing but it moves to different position. Even after we recentre it, it goes on the other direction. HELP ME PLEASE
Just tried it for some more complicated shapes (a square with pieces angles out and a circle) and it doesn't work, it makes weird shapes all over the place...
Hi guys... Tell me is it only usable for simple objects like a star and a ring or it is the same technique for complex shapes, like icones, characters or anything cplex.... Thanks for sharing
@@TheWereouttothewoods Im a little late but I just had the same problem and it was because I had to go one more step down to next path to convert it to bezier
Super efficient! All the other tutorials for this are 15 minutes + and I can’t believe it’s so easy!
Thanks Moira :)
This is how I like my tutorials, short and to the point.
Pure gold this channel thanks a lot I didn't want to see a 21mins video explaining this, you got your well-deserved like and sub.
There's a problem, object position and anchor is changing during morphing...is there a fix?

I want to convert from star to heart as I do is for a school work helps !!!
This tutorial was very easy to understand, would the process be the same for morphing text into PNG?
Looks great, but when I tried to do it the "Convert to Besier Path" command was grayed out. For the life of me I could not figure out how to make it work!!
same :/ idk what to do ive searched stuff up for the last few hours
Good
thanks michael. can we even make this work for shapes we paste into after effects? or will it then be something different.
Can I morph shapes imported from photoshop?
Я тебя целую! Спасибо Бро!

HELP ME PLEASE
Look at comment above about anchor points. SAme thing happened to me because I wasn't zeroing out the shape AND layer anchor points.
i can't find the fill and stroke option??
Just tried it for some more complicated shapes (a square with pieces angles out and a circle) and it doesn't work, it makes weird shapes all over the place...
Can this be used to morph vectors as well such as two different people eg. fat to skimmy person?
will it work the same way if i animate stick figures?
Doesnt work for simple line shape =(
For me, Bezier path is always unactive. Why is it that? no matter what I do it's off...
Same thing happened to me if your shape was from illustrator then it's already Bezier path active.
Hi guys... Tell me is it only usable for simple objects like a star and a ring or it is the same technique for complex shapes, like icones, characters or anything cplex.... Thanks for sharing
I'm currently trying to figure out how to do this if you have more than one path in a shape.
@@joshuaspruett I would be glad to keep the touch with you and see if succedded in this super mission. Thanks for all
What would I do without you?
This only works for predetermined shapes, otherwise this is usless.
That's not true, it works with custom polygons as well.

I am having the same issue. On current version of AE "convert to bezier path" is grayed out for some reason... trying to look into a fix.
@@TheWereouttothewoods it would only work if u make a shape with pentool in new shape layer,, try once
