Hi Jordan, I just recently started watching your videos and they are addictive. Like you, I love beautiful old cemeteries and Pere Lachaise is my very favorite one (I hope to have my ashes and those of all my deceased pets scattered there when my time comes.) Oscar Wilde is my favorite artist as well and I'm so glad that you honor him in your videos. His is such a sad story. Thank God for Robbie Ross. (I left them both a kiss on the Plexiglass when I was there.) I am almost 70 and saw Jim Morrison and The Doors perform when I was a college student. I grew up in South Pasadena and my older sister saw The Doors perform at the Whiskey A Go Go back in the mid-to-late 60s. To this day, The Doors are my favorite rock group. My oldest daughter, who lives in San Luis Obispo, and I did a Doors Odyssey" through West Hollywood and Venice Beach a few years ago. She loves their music also. We visited the places that you visited in your videos and I sat on the bar stool that Jim Morrison sat on at Barneys and ordered a bowl of their chili which Jim loved. There was an older man (late 70's) sitting next to me and everyone working behind the bar, and several who walked into the bar, all greeted him by name. He was obviously a regular and very popular! He told me he had been going to Barney's for over 50 years and knew Jim back in the day. He said that he was sitting on the same stool next to Jim's - and the stool I sat on was the original bar stool that Jim had sat on. And, yes, that's where Jim pissed on the bar!! 😄 Oscar, Jim and Paris: My daughter and I rented an Airbnb in Montmartre near the steppes in Oct. 2013 on Rue du Baigneur. One morning we woke up and couldn't see out our fifth floor window because of the dense fog. It was very atmospheric, ideal weather for our cemetery crawl to Pere Lachaise. I told my daughter as we left that I hoped it would rain because I wanted to see Paris in the rain before we left (tres romantique). We walked for an hour and a half through the cemetery until we arrived at Jim's grave. There was a plain clothes guard, a young man in his early 30s, dressed in black and smoking a cigarette leaning against the gum tree. He overheard us talking and me telling my daughter how I saw The Doors in the late 60s, and how my sister saw them at the Whiskey A Go Go. He was very kind and didn't say anything to stop us when we rolled over the temporary fence. I placed a flame orange rose plant on Jim's headstone and sat down on the edge of his grave. I told him how I grew up near West Hollywood and had seen him perform "back in the day." I told him that The Doors were still my favorite group and Riders on the Storm my favorite rock song of all time. I became very emotional. I'm a sensitive and I could feel his energy all over that place. My daughter felt it too. She helped me pick up handfuls of fallen chestnuts from his grave. We stuck them in our pockets. As we stood there, the fog turned into a cloudburst - not a little drizzle but a sudden downpour! I think Jim was playing tricks on us and made sure that I got to see Paris in the rain before we left! (He WAS known as being quite the practical joker...) My daughter has this phenomenon captured on film. It was October 9th 2013. I remember it because it was John Lennon's birthday. As we turned to walk away from Jim's grave, the rain stopped as suddenly as it had started...and the sun broke through the mist and created these dazzling prisms in the wet cobwebs. The energy around us was UNREAL! My daughter turned to me as we walked past the guard and said, "This is REALLY weird, isn't it?!" The guard heard her, turned to us and said, "We see Jim's spirit here all the time." 🤯 After arriving home, I took out the chestnuts that I had tucked away in a pair of socks in my luggage, polished them with a dust cloth and counted them. There were... 27! (Weird, huh?) These 27 chestnuts have been sitting in a Waterford bowl on a bookshelf for the last 7 years. I dust/polish them once a month and they look just like they did the day I gathered them from Jim's grave in 2013. There's not a single mark or a crack in them. They are perfectly preserved.

Jordan, I watched this vlog early this morning but wanted to wait until I had more time to properly thank you and praise your talents, sensitivity and true respect for those you have honoured. I find now, I still can't find the right words to tell you how amazing both you and this vlog are. I will just say that I echo everyone's comments on here and truly understand your "morbid" interests, as I am the same way. I love cemeteries also, and staying in Elvis' boyhood apartment last October for two nights WAS AMAZING and so meaningful to me, so I truly understand where you're coming from. Awesome but a sad vlog. It's sad to see they have to block Oscar and Jim's graves from people who can't respect them. I knew you were coming here to stay. I just didn't want to spoil the surprise. At 22:25 if you look at the lamp on the right hand side of the bed it flickers for a bit and then stops. I think that's Oscar giving you a sign that he's happy you're finally here to vlog his final room. Yesterday's vlog of Bastille Day and Today's vlogs are just amazing and so special. Jim Morrison’s grave site is very eerie to say the least. Tragic ending and final resting spot. Kind of reminds me of when I searched out Charles Lindbergh’s gravesite In Maui on the Hannah side of the island 🌴 He’s buried behind a little open air church that overlooks the most beautiful ocean view. He had maybe 6 people at his funeral ⚰️ and basically died in seclusion. He was the most famous person in the world at one time. Love The Oscar Wilde tour, he was truly a genius in his own right. Jordan, I vote this outstanding vlog of 2019 - I enjoyed it so much I watched it twice! What a dream come true for you to spend the night in the room where Oscar Wilde died. I loved the tour of each room and that we were seeing everything as you were. I was so touched at your reading of Oscar’s words as a tribute to Lenard; it brought tears to my eyes. I’m sure he was smiling down at you. Such a sad ending for both Oscar and Jim Morrison. Glad you took us by their gravesites again. Thanks for this special, incredible and amazing vlog!

🦁 Jordan, you know that I am in LOVE with Paris, and I am very happy that you visited Paris again and that you were able to stay in Oscar Wilde’s home. 👏👍👏 The peacock wall paper is Beautiful. Anthony Bordain was another tortured soul. Visiting Anthony Bordain’s final place would be a great tribute to honor him with a remembrance token.

Fabulous vlog. Glad you got to check off your #1 off your bucket list. I am a big fan of Oscar Wilde too. Like to stay at the Menger Hotel here in San Antonio just like Oscar Wilde did. Love having tea in the garden too.

An amazing vlog, Jordan! Such a beautiful and meaningful tribute to Mr. Wilde, heartfelt. You deserve this treat! I have one of those rosewood rosaries from the Vatican and I love the scent of it , very special. If Mr. Wilde's spirit is there he will appreciate it since his baptism. The room is beautiful, very French. Did you notice the lamp flicker briefly when you first were filming the bed???

Jordan you must be so excited to finally see Oscar's room and stay in it. It's so beautifully decorated every detail so ornate. Thank you telling his story and reading his works.

Oh wow, I had no idea that Oscar passed away on my birthday! What a fantastic and heart felt vlog as well. Leaving your beloved bracelets at each of the graves added a personal touch, I might add. Once you got to the room, I could sense your enormous passion for Oscar's writings and adding the rosary to the room heightened being in that holy grail experience, I think. Loved this vlog, Jordan!

The room is beautiful. I love the wallpaper and the all the wood. It looks like a room for Oscar Wilde. I hope your stay was peaceful and that it was everything you hoped it would be. Thank you for sharing with us.

What a treat. Am discovering the genius of Oscar Wilde late in life (turned 76 today). Thank you for taking is to his dying scene and sharing. I don't know if I would have the guts to stay in a room where a famous person expired. At least your video has now expunged that item on my list. BTW, the bill was in FRANCS (not $$) and maybe you might consider taking some basic courses in Francais. Cheers.

Thank you for this. One of my true heroes was dear Oscar Wilde. A great man and genius and was so sad the way he was treated. Jim Morrison was also a great. Brilliant video.
Hope you enjoyed your night in Oscar's room and your swim! 😊🎀

OMG!! First off the whole vlog was just captivating and amazing. I remember vlogs of old, when you visited that cemetery and Oscar Wilde and Jim Morrison. There was something a little more deep about you going there this time. The topper of course was you getting to stay in the room where Oscar died, and man what a room! That is so weird that Anthony Bourdain stayed there too. So that "wall paper" was the same one Oscar wrote about? So glad you got to finally realized your dream of staying there!!! This whole London Paris trip...though your past vlogs were excellent too, this trip really takes the cake!!!

I went to the Perelachaise one foggy day back in October 1989. There were only a few people there and aroma of hash wafted in the air. It was surreal and haunting moment 🏛

It's the Irish government that maintains the grave of Oscar Wilde in Paris. An another American who sadly died young in Paris was the actress Jean Seburg. She was found dead in a car by the Seine river in August 1979. Her most famous role was playing Joan of Arc. She is buried in Montparnasse cemetery in Paris. In her case the CIA were definitely monitoring her movements in Paris

So very awesome you finally got to scratch #1 off the list! I would have spent a long while sitting and meditating on the middle of that bed, and conversing with those peacocks. O, if walls could talk. Always appreciate seeing Jim's place of rest. I agree-circumstances around his death are very fishy indeed. Thanks for sharing this experience with us!!
