PAN-PAN! Sailboat RESCUE in the BAY OF BISCAY I Ep. 77

In the last episode you saw us cross the Bay of Biscay and head to Gijon. We took a couple days to rest and then slipped our lines to make our way to A Coruna, toc complete our Bay of Biscay Crossing.
What began has a pleasant trip with perfect conditions, soon ended in disaster…
As we have come to find out, sailing never quite goes to plan!
We ended up calling in our first PAN-PAN aboard sailing Indiana. 5 hours off of A Coruna, the worst happened. Our engine or prop shaft started making a horrible screeching noise, not knowing whether continuing would do irreparable damage to our sailboat, we decided to turn off the motor and call for help.
10 miles off of A Coruna, the rescue boat came to our aid, saving us from big tanker and terrifying rocks. Whilst we felt sad and defeated to be towed into port, we were grateful us and Indiana were safe.
