I am stunned to see the cleanliness around in the village. Not a single wrapper I saw. Makes me wonder if these people are more educated than us. Nevertheless, we got a lot to learn from them!!!!

With so much of snow, I never imagined water scarcity could be a problem. Loved seeing children and hearing about what they get up to!
Actually there was very little snow in Pishu this winter. It just snowed once in December and very little after that. Zanskar is so cold that the snow stays for a long time and doesn't melt. The villagers were worried that they will have very little water this summer due to the scant snowfall.

Wonderful documentary and a grim reminder of water shortage. Can't imagine how hard the life is for people in Pishu under such extreme circumstances.
The person in this video was part of trekking team staff in Jan 2016 when we trekked upto Zangla. Good to see him.

Hello sir, thank you again for sharing such a beautiful video. While watching the video I felt good and at the same time, I was saddened somewhere deep inside. It feels good to see the residents so content and happy with the kind of work and resources they have. but at the same time, I feel bad looking at the hardships of life they are facing. I understand that they are happy with whatever they have but come on we know this kind of life is hard. I dont know if i am making any sense here but i always wonder why there is so much of differences among the same fellow human beings. some can have money but no happiness and some have happiness but finacially weak. Cant there be some balance between Happiness and resources?. I am sorry for this depressing comment sir. Rest your videos never disppoint us. Take care
