Nice video bothers. I was the designer/builder of Sickter Gnar and Upper Grannies. Glad you Enjoyed.
You guys make it look effortless. Amazing.
It all comes with practice, thanks man!
Trail Peek.... How long have you been riding?
@trailpeek- thanks for another crazy good vid and thanks for leaving in the spill. Not cuz I ever wanna see a rider fall but because it makes the trail follow cam just so real.. shit happens when you party.
Glad bro wasn't hurt. Keep up the rad.
-a lame XC guy from Illinois.
Wisconsin checking in.. Its flat here too.
Haha no way I'd leave that one out. Don't catch many crashes with the gimbal on thankfully
Illinois represent! lol
U know the trail is good when u hear the hub buzzing the entire time
yes! black rock is so fun! 🤙🙌
Blackrock is my all time favorite place to ride. I'm too old and brittle for Granny's Kitchen, but Sickter Gnar and Banzai all day long. Just the most excellent dirt and fabulous trail build crew.
Glad your friend walked away from that one. I don't ride there without full-face helmet.
Yeah even through the video, the quality of that dirt comes through. It's like ground up hooker and angel wings. Perfect.
hahahah
Yeah full-face seems like a good idea!
My head is spinning watching this video. Even a mountain lion can't chase you.
Those trails are incredible. Sick riding
Talk about scenic, and some sick riding..WTG guys...
Sick guys! That is some big air time on that trail! Great riding!
Love that you guys are making the Oregon rounds. Looks like you're hitting all the right places.
Too much sick stuff in the PNW
Sick! You're in my area! Nice run guys!
Woww sick vid, probably one of the funniest trail !
Always killing it 👍🤘
Beautiful area!!!
This looks super fun
Rad!! Best MTB channel on YT bar none! Can't wait for you guys to come back to Western Colorado, it's sweet to watch how fast you rip my home trails!
Soon, mid-July!
Rad as hell
Crazy looking. Nice riding Zach. You and the hightower are smashing. 👊
Really loving the Hightower Dan!
soooo nice! keep it up boysss!
Awesome shreddingg !
The section of trail where the crash happened I know very well. It's a step-down over a prominent stump. In the year that it was built there were five people hitting that double. The step over after it is floaty. And then it gets better. The trail didn't last after Montana moved on.
Amazing stuff, definitely need to be confident with jumping and drops. Jedi stuff for sure
You guys are doin it big in your videos. Its bad ass seeing these kinda trails being filmed by some real shredders! Keep it up boys.
Just doing our thing! Thanks!
So beautiful
Holy shit, that is an awesome trail!
Nice to know where the tricky snags are.
Shoot in super view!
Very nice! Glad the trail ninja was ok. 💪
Justin Wages Me too😉
by far, THE best mountain bike channel! some of the coolest trails minus the bullshit banter. no matter where you ride and film, you guys always kill the trails. very inspiring. how long ya'll been riding for?
Appreciate that! We've always messed around on our bikes. We didn't start riding frequently until about 4-5 years ago
That's good and uplifting to hear :) !
Great one - as always. But how do you keep the gimbal so forward-facing in the berms?
Proper turn technique. Point your hips in the direction you want to go.
Superrr riperrrrrr
Oregon is so pretty 😌
F'n A bro now I'll be saying wonky! Hella vid hella riding man thanks!
Haha vocab influence!
that looks like it has just about as much party stuff in as the Humboldt trail!
Killa Kyleon nah humboldt has better shit to smoke b4 the ride!
another day, another beer.
I feel ya man. been at it hard for a little over a year. I'm addicted to mtb can't stop riding can't stop thinking about it. I don't care how fast I make it down a trail. just as long as it was faster than the last time I rode it.
Thats what its all about, incremental improvements and getting stoked
I always knew GoPro's take away the trail gnar, but I've seen the drop @1:50 and it looks WAY BIGGER in person. I was surprised to see your buddy fall, I figured ya'll have perfected the art of levitation & balance by now. Legit riding guys, hope your friend is feeling alright!
Like I said, that jump is just kind of wonky. Not an easy one to send blind
another beer another day
Nice video
Crazy! :D
fuck yeah!
Awesome videos. Pretty sure I saw you near Folsom lake last week.
Probably, don't be afraid to come up and say hi
Trail Peek I would have said hi, but we were both driving. I recognized the bike and your sticker on the back window.
Oh haha that makes it a bit more difficult!
What settings do you use on your camera
you guys ever ride anywhere in SoCal that has features like black Rock? I just rode black Rock couple weeks ago and would love to find something similar at home in socal
I lived in SD for 13 years, and now I live in Eugene....I ride BR a ton...there is next to nothing for freeride in California south of South Bay...not withstanding some park stuff....nothing freeride beyond 10 percent of the quantity I mean. But lots of dirt jumper stuff...but more in the LA OC area
Hit Sandy ridge next!
Skip Sandy and hit Post Canyon
yea hit sandy!
If we were still up there we would. Heard it's badass out there
Trails look perfect for a hardtail.
Hardtail would be sick out here
holy shit I need to be there
Anyone know if its okay to hit when wet? looks like a lot of wood up there haha
I cased that damn stump gap yesterday. Sprained ankle and some missing skin. I feel ya.
Its a weird one
haha that sucks...the very first time I commited to the stump gap, i brake checked and thought I would die...I bumped the stump with both wheels but my soft settings kept me on my bike and I aborted before Salad and yeah. good times
Ouch!
the stuff of dreams...
Nice what is your sag setup front and rear how many tokens in front
~25% Front and rear. 3 tokens up front
Have you ever ridden in lime ridge in walnut creek.
Haven't been out there actually
how do u talk yourself into doing half that stuff. those jumps r nuts that drop looks scary.
It's scary but that's why it's fun!
Was all of that done on the Hightower? I ride here fairly often and I am debating whether or not to sell my dh and trail bike and get a "do it all" enduro style bike or keep both my dh and trail bike. Did the Hightower do it all well or do you wish you had more travel?
PS You guys made that stuff look way too easy!
Ya man. In person, some of those features are downright frightening.
no need for a DH bike at black rock, everything is built super smooth, 6" trail/enduro bike will do great
Hit almost all of the biggest features on the Hightower. I would like to go back and tame Dino's.
I definitely think anything more than 6" is overkill for black rock. It's gonna be fun as hell on any bike. With a shorter travel bike you're going to be able to do more laps faster though
Wow, one of the coolest trails. Sick rippin. My goal as a mountain biker is to get good enough one day to go down that sort of trail without a hiccup. Maybe not as fast as some or with as much style, but just to survive the big drops and jumps haha. This video makes me want to go practice riding right now (which is what I'll be doing as soon as I get off work) haha.
Hell yeah, just start small and work your way up. It takes time but is worth it
Black Rock is the shit! In fact Oregon has good riding all over the place. Check out Hood River and Sandy Ridge if you ever get a chance. Fuck I miss the loamy dirt up there.
Oregon is pretty awesome. Can't believe that the stuff out in black rock is just out there open to everyone. So sick!
where is this
Oregon www.mtbproject.com/trail/7012285/black-rock-intro-loop
Knocked his giblets around >.
That's not in Florida!
Jblud's Singletrack definitely not.lol
