    Great instructions. Thank you. But I’m having trouble inserting the cylinder locks into the slots. Do you have a video of how to do that. I don’t want to force the lock into the hole.

    Thank you for the video; it was very helpful. Scary how much side to side rocking there is. I recently sold my Küat Sherpa, and bought this Thule to replace it. My Küat was very stable with almost no side to side rocking; I wonder if their tightening system is more effective.

      Yes. I did notice that after I made the video. I forgot to tighten the stinger to the hitch. However after I did. I does wobble just a little but sturdy enough. I will try to tighten the rest of the bolts to see if that helps.

      @@AutoSensation Thank you for the clarification. I’ve almost finished assembling mine (thanks to your video 👍🏼) and will be putting it to the test in a couple of hours when we go to pick up our new bikes.

    When mounting the rack to the hitch, is the hook supposed to fit snugly in the hole because mine doesn’t? Have removed the rack and reinstalled and still the same issue.

      @AutoSensation  26 днів тому

      No. It's just there as an added security so that it doesn't accidentally slip out.

    Hey does it really matter which supporting arm goes closest to the vehicle? i saw another video saying to put the one with the Thule sticker on top but i dont understand why it makes a difference i already put the arms on and wondering if i need to take them off and re arrange then

    • @AutoSensation
      @AutoSensation  9 місяців тому

      I don't understand either. I don't think it makes a difference

    THANK YOU!! Your great video enabled me to install my rack, otherwise I would not have been able to do so since the printed instructions that come along with the rack are worthless.
    Question(s). I noticed that you also didn't have any cables to lock the bikes. Are they supposed to be provided or are they purchased separately?
    Also, there is one LONG key (separate from the key(s) that works on the locking mechanisms on the racks as well as the one that plugs the rack into the hitch). Do you know what that is for?
    Update: I discovered that the rack has locking cables that are pre-installed and pull out from the locking mechanism. Easy to miss. Still don't know what the long key is for.

    • @AutoSensation
      @AutoSensation  6 місяців тому +1

      Yes the locking cables are nicely hidden. The long key is a change key. Insert the key into the lock core and you can wiggle the whole lock cylinder out. It must be in the unlock position to wiggle out. This is used if you want to remove and change the locks.

      Hmm. Maybe try a little force wiggling both ways? or lossen a little?

      Did you get it to work?

    • @louviessu
      @louviessu 5 місяців тому +1

      Same here! The key would not turn to the locked position. So the issue is the lock is EXTREMELY tight. I grabbed a plier to held the key by the broad side, then I successfully turned it to the locked position!

    The mounting of the rack to the hitch happened too fast. It's the main part I wanted see along with locking and unlocking.
