I wonder if these new engines will live up to the legacy of the 7.3... like ours has over 300,000 miles, and it still has the original Injectors, which is unheard of, and it still pushes about 400+ HP...
A lot of people seem to be hating on the new super duty for its looks. Personally I like it, but they are so quick to call it crap. They forget there will be more rim choices and different model ranges. Id buy this truck over the competition any day.
@RextheWarmTeddyBear I got a 85 K10 with a 6.2L Detroit with over 350 thousand miles on it and a daily driver, so obviously they didn't take care of it
buddy of mine works for border patrol...use the trucks much harder than this. they use atvs, chevy 1/2 and 3/4 tons and ford 3/4 tons. now they beat the hell out of those trucks chasing with them in 120 heat through dunes. whats really cool is that they order them lifted slightly and with lockers from the factory. unfortunately hes telling me that neither has been really reliable in those conditions
notice that in general companies that do tough jobs where extreme vehicle abuse is unavoidable...they continue time and time again to purchase ford super-duty trucks because of there reliability....not because of brand preference, politics, or looks! one day just look around and you will notice what i am talking about.
@obxboyoo Urea is used in SNCR and SCR reactions to reduce the NOx pollutants in exhaust gases from combustion from diesel, dual fuel, and lean-burn natural gas engines. The BlueTec system, for example, injects water-based urea solution into the exhaust system. The ammonia produced by the hydrolysis of the urea reacts with the nitrogen oxide emissions and is converted into nitrogen and water within the catalytic converter.
What Mike Rowe is talking about is mesa which is by Boulder, WY which I work on these fileds on Shell rigs....and yes Haliburton does have Ford trucks but as the same time they are alot of other brands like Dodge,GM,Chevy,Toyota's out here so we gonna have to wait and see what this new ford is capable of ...to me I would much rather have the 2010 Dodge 3500 Dually then the Ford super duty but again thats just me.......
All the Pontiacs, Buicks, Olds, And Chevy we owned all had major Main and Rear Engine Seals leaks. Leaking all over the drive way. Total Pieces of Junk. We got smart then bought a Ford and Honda and have Not had any problems with leaking Oil all over the place and no break downs like you have with GM! Oh and we had Transmissions problems from Pontiac on down to the Buick. and my sisters Olds Cutlass w/ 350 motor. The Damn Engine Block cracked it too was a pile of DooDoo.
@15callaway ford never made the cummins engine, cummins is its own company that make engines for trains, semi's, dodge, fire trucks and class 4,5,6 vehicles. Those 4,5,6 are usually made by ford like the f450, f550, f650. Those are the only ford trucks that use the cummins engine other than dodge. Chevy never had a cummins. Ford did own parts of cummins co. in the late 90's but dodge never bought a cummins engine from ford and never will. Its ok some people just know this info.
all i see is this awesome diesel where owners have to refill this urea stuff and pay top dollar for recycling it. i have not seen any videos of this rig, gas or diesel, off roading or pulling anything. real life ive seen a gas ford 350 srw pull 11000 pounds with normal acceleration. these new diesels are nice but i wonder what this truck would be without urea and dpf. straight pipe the diesel like the 7.3L and no dpf, then lets compare how far they have come. old ones may be better still.
Would love to test it on my 24K Acre ranch in Nor Cal. I was just think the other day that Ford should do a commercial like this. It came out really corny though. It needs to be a lot more straight forward. "This is my proving grounds." The one guy mentions about -40 Degree weather, show it. Too clean cut to appeal to the average American. Show people that have to buy the trucks themselves not company trucks.
@CBCOlympics WoW! Good for you, I laugh every time I see a chevy guy waiting for me with a tow strap in there hand for me to pull them out. Isn't it great to Drive a Ford Superduty! :)
@NutStretcher oh i 100% agree with you on dodge and ford, if i could afford it. i would go dodge all the way. to me, ford seems to be the cheap man version.
Haliburton, PG&E, and Forestry Department are going to continue to buy Fords cause the others aren't even in the ballpark. They need to show the regular people that buy their trucks. Farmers, Contractors, Retirees, Recovery Persons, Weekend Warriors , exc. They need to change the people's opinions that don't believe in them not the ones that do.
@rumerboyz Ahhh I think Mr93nothingrustslikeachevytruck is upset cause all of his customers Left the chevy dealership and went down to the local Ford store and bought themselves a brand new Ford truck that was made to last and will actually do work and not break down for 300,000+ Miles unlike the chevies he sells that breaks down and rust before long! Sure makes a nice flower pot though!
they sell them the same off the lot. 250 and up are work trucks. I could see buying a 250 just for the diesel, but a 350 and up....if your not working it, u wasted your money...these trucks r 50+k.
If you want facts go to PickupTrucks website (Chevy vs. Ford in Heavy-Duty Rumble in the Rockies).... THEN go to Dieselpowermag website (Diesel Power's King Of The Hill Shootout: Final Results!)..... THEN look at Motor Trend's Truck of the year article.... Hard to argue with COLD HARD FACTS!
@NutStretcher How can you deny it. Google it. Find some proof, and then tell me I am wrong, every magazine, web page and salesman will agree with me. You can deny it and be wrong. You can believe what you want, doesn't mean its right. I have loads of proof ford is the best selling, give me proof and you win. As far as your comment goes, its interesting to see that your mind is so underdeveloped that you cannot make a comment without swearing.
@Chevysilverado9 punctuation and spelling.......two things you seem incapable of. your ford didnt last because you made the mistake of getting the problem ridden 6.0L, you would have been better off with a used 7.3L
OK THEY DROVE THROUGH A WATER HOLE AND HAULED A TRAILER.... I THINK MY 2500HD CAN DO THAT THEY HAD BETTER WATCH OUT IN THOSE WATER HOLES THOUGH WITH THE FAMOUS FORD PEG LEG REAR END! G80 LOCKER IN THE HD BOTH BACK WHEELS PULLIN!!!
I wonder if these new engines will live up to the legacy of the 7.3...
like ours has over 300,000 miles, and it still has the original Injectors, which is unheard of, and it still pushes about 400+ HP...
i test drove the 2011 superduty the other day. it is a beast
A lot of people seem to be hating on the new super duty for its looks. Personally I like it, but they are so quick to call it crap. They forget there will be more rim choices and different model ranges. Id buy this truck over the competition any day.
I LOVE MIKE ROWE!!!
@church400c
Well said. GM should give up on the truck market. They simply can't compete with Ford.
First On Race Day!!!
Molasses90 built ford tough with Chevy stuff
Chris John Michael if your gonna make fun of a highly respectable vehicle brand then at least come up with a clever joke...
I see Haliburton in the background and immediately distrust ANYTHING these people say. But I don't hate you, Ford.
Remember people, Ford F Series has been the best selling truck for 3 Decades. and THAT IS FACT!.
@RextheWarmTeddyBear
I got a 85 K10 with a 6.2L Detroit with over 350 thousand miles on it and a daily driver, so obviously they didn't take care of it
I love the truck in the water!
Ford Motor is the Greatest!

@GreekFenah I agree the Ford F series is the best looking trucks on the road

@GreekFenah
I'm just not a fan of the huge chrome grille, I liked the grilles from the 2010's....but besides that, LOVE IT!
not to mention in production for over 64 years!!!
Didnt they say all this when the 6.0 came out?? Tough this Tough that?
Dodge Sucks, the only good part of Dodge trucks is the cummins.
I am a Chevy fan But would not say no to driving a Ford Truck.
Cool channel

Just a ford add, thats all this is. The only time you can trust these is, never. The only test you can trust is when you drive it yourself.

@jritch85 Yep.
Add Popular Mechanics to that list lol. I have the article right here.
Halliburton sure enough works the piss out of their trucks. Ford bred till I die!
@halflife103 Actually its 3 and a half decades :)
1:37 alignment off a little bit???
When will Ford release the "Mega Duty"?! :-D
I prefer have 7.3 powerstroke any day than a 6.7 7.3 reliability dependability durability ease of maintenance
@jrocksnittos it doesn't matter what you like, saying power stroke or cummins or duramax all the way is really lame.
@henik9 Most definitely
I don't want to sound dumb but what is urea?
Im not for sure but I dont think Ford made the cummins engine i think they just had shares
@CBCOlympics WoW! Good for you, I laugh every time I see a chevy guy waiting for me with a tow strap in there hand for me to pull them out. Isn't it great to Drive a Ford Superduty! :)
@farmer864 I unfortuently personally as the youtube account owner did not post this
@mikenike3311 You mean Durapad
@GreekFenah i think it looks better then the new dodges ha they look like a rihno or a train or somthen haha
@NutStretcher oh i 100% agree with you on dodge and ford, if i could afford it. i would go dodge all the way. to me, ford seems to be the cheap man version.
@fitz207 your right, they just get jealous and TRY to make something better than ford (which they cant)
@mr93chevysilverado NO, since they gots money from them, they pretty much own them.
@turdbutt89
I actually don't hate Chevy that much dude.
First dodge didnt make it's own engine the took it from cummins and cheveys fall a part way to easy
@fourwheelerdude88 You mean Cummapart?
May be true, but people obviously think otherwise if they keep buying them.
@h20fwlrsd man ur crazy its been 25 years since ford made a 9 inch ford rear end im sure thats what ur talking about ....
That new 2011 Super duty looks good! My 05 super duty will do all that and more!! search- rumerboyz on youtube to see more!

If ford wants to test a truck give it to the railroad for acouple of months then we will see how tough it really is>
Constantly Having Every Vehicle Recalled Over Lousy Engineering Techniques
why dont all you ford guys take a look at "Rumble in the rockies" WHY DID FORD BACK DOWN? THEY KNEW THEY WERE GOING TO LOSE!!!!!!
@Camo00505 you have no idea what your talking about.
@Chevysilverado9
punctuation and spelling.......two things you seem incapable of. your ford didnt last because you made the mistake of getting the problem ridden 6.0L, you would have been better off with a used 7.3L
Ford is awesome but chevy 2011 hd is tough and bad this year
Nah, you’ll be losing wheels. Ford =#1
When they figure out that they need a straight six caterpillar engine.
cummins all the way
six in a row ur ready to blow
OK THEY DROVE THROUGH A WATER HOLE AND HAULED A TRAILER.... I THINK MY 2500HD CAN DO THAT THEY HAD BETTER WATCH OUT IN THOSE WATER HOLES THOUGH WITH THE FAMOUS FORD PEG LEG REAR END! G80 LOCKER IN THE HD BOTH BACK WHEELS PULLIN!!!
best selling not, best truck... there is a diffrence
notice how all the trucks are 03 and up. i see CHEVY WORKING trucks from 94 still on the job. ford is good... but not reliable.
Bullshit ass videos Ford, Chevy and Dodge of course they are gonna push there product....Motortrend truck of the year is what I go by.
Caterpillar30 dude ford made the cummins motor, dodge buys there motors from ford
you ant tougher then get a dodge ram 4500 with a cummins or 2500
Id rather be cummins.then stroke..
