I owned 3 big Ford 4x4's now, and I like them. I have learned a few things. They need to be ran in 4 wheel drive fairly often or you will have expensive problems with the u-joints at the end of the Dana front axle and ball joint problems as they get older. Take some spray lithium grease and hit the ball joints and axle u-joints, wait until it's pouring cats and dogs and drive it around in 4 wheel drive. Actually that works for the Dodges as well since they use the same front axles as Ford.
@halflife103 what i see, is light truck diffs, v8, transmission/transfer case, with a LOT of electronics attached. i also see a small approach and departure angle, and a massively long wheelbase. sounds like they are doing very very specific jobs, towing/load carrying, which is indeed the use of a truck, but i would suspect that's a rather small section of the market?
i like the new design, the hood reminds me of the 60s and 70s style hood, but the only thing i dont like is the grille, if i ever get one im putting a new grille insert in.
@footbalr074 BTW The Duramax Diesel Engine is produces by DMAX , joint venture between GM and Isuzu in Moraine, Ohio. GM might have made a technological trade with Isuzu but the engine itself is built in the US of A. As for Dodge, I do agree with you. They do need an update on their transmission. Nonetheless I think these are all good American trucks.
It's "cool" to be able to tow, and use truck like that. But for each of those jobs, there actually is far more practical tools for those. I believe this is why, only in USA, the pickup trucks are favored in this scale. :) Not saying they are bad, no your trucks are excellent. But for true work, there's far better tools to haul something, on and off the road. These trucks are mostly for fun and comfort.
I like the pull out 4x4 switch locker feature is it standard on all the trucks? cause it shoud me fords are the best, work um hard!!! change the fluids!!!
@mydogisjohn ACTUALLY 2011 super shity 6.7 powerjoke is 390hp and 735 lb ft and that is form fords website. the 2011 dmax is 397 hp 765 lb ft which is class leading for this year

I love the shot of it driving by with a Dodge Ram with a massive boulder on it lol The dodge probably couldn't finish the job so the ford had to take over.

Google, Ford Super Duty, and click the first tab. Then click the specs tab and then the engine tab. Now you have been enlightened.

id like to see them put a chevy over that rock course. Its not hard core off roading but I dont think the GM would make it. It would drag its low slung frame over the rocktops and bent its toothpic tierods. I still dont know why GM even puts 4X4 in there trucks, it wasnt engenered to handle it. I guess thats why ford sells more trucks.
i dont understand why everyone comparing dodge and ford and all these other truck to eachother, everyone has different taste in trucks. I like a truck that I can hear the exhaust rather then it being quite, so i would take the dodge over a ford. The super duty I think looks pretty good, but the f150, not so much

I am a Ford fan, and my next truck will most likely be an F250, possibly an F150, but lets be honest, nothing in this video was impressive... It could all be done by even the smallest 4x4's (except for the hauling)...
@lilblueace, toyotas are boaring, i used to have a toyota pickup, good truck but no power and had trany problems. i now have an 03 ranger with the 4.0 and mt trany. it is way fun to drive and i think the quality is just as good as toyota. the ranger is just better to drive.
