You saved my ass mate! I got the same tail tidy, but all parts loose in a box among lots of other stuff left by first owner. And I was really stuck with how to bolt the metal adapter plate until you showed me the rubber bushings. They were on my bike already, but I didn't know how to use them. Now everything's in place and working fine. Great clip!
really helpful video mate...also had R&G tail tidy came with my last RR and it was crap design...untidy for wiring & looks. Trying Evotech TT for my new one...great to have this video as a reference point
Thank you for this one, it helped me a lot and I managed to fix it with no problem. The only thing I got mad over was that small bolt for the LED light, I lost one of them, that’s where the glue comes in.
Hey Buddy, Good video, very informative! When I purchased my S1000R I had the dealer fit an Evotech tail tidy, and I was very happy with it, you mention the indicators stick out a bit too far and I think they do more than on the evotech unit, as you said u may adapt them in the future! ThrillsOfLife , ah I see, just waiting for a dry day when it's not freezing! Did go for a quick run but soon turned back as damp in the shade with mushy leaves everywhere, not a good mixture with brand new tyres! Will do a detailed vid soon in daylight of the parts I've added, so frustrating having a new toy that you cannot use 🙄, you been far on the S1000 yet?
I feel your pain. Ive only had it insured a week(as i mentioned to you i had some issues with my old underwriter) and the weathers been crap! Now I'm away with work but will be riding as soon as possible and uploading videos!
it's not required to cut the plate light cable, you take the bulb out from the light and take a W5W adapter which you connect to the cables of the new light. W5W Adapter -> i.ebayimg.com/images/g/VMEAAOSwjyhaLmka/s-l1600.jpg is like included in every ledlights and you can everytime rear upgrade your oem parts;)
