Form Energy Groundbreaking Event Recap

On May 26, 2023, Form Energy held a groundbreaking event to celebrate the start of construction of Form Factory 1, the company’s first high-volume manufacturing facility in Weirton, West Virginia. The groundbreaking event took place on site at the former Weirton Steel mill where Form Factory 1 will be built. Several federal and state officials provided remarks at the event to celebrate the milestone.
Form Factory 1 will employ more than 750 people when operating at full capacity. Manufacturing iron-air battery systems for broad commercialization is expected to begin in mid-to-late 2024.
