The best thing about that machine is that you can see the transducer and thermistor data when u access it through the service menu. It makes everything easier being able to see all the data and feedback from the system live
Very helpful
Thanks! Thats the goal!
Do you leave the dip switches in the off postion or turn them back on once reading the correct dc voltage?
Leave them off. They dont have to be touched again
@WorldofHVAC thank you
@@jonathonmonique9069 You're welcome
Is .9 volts to
Much for communication?
About to have one of these installed. What are the symptoms that signal these issues?
You won't have to worry about it. They updated the units and the thermostat. The bias problem doesn't exist on the new ones
@@WorldofHVAC wow, fantastic!
My Daikin for suddenly stopped working. The air handler still shows up on the thermostat as a communicating piece of equipment but not the heat pump. I checked the unit outside and it seems to be receiving power as light on surge protector is green. Breaker was found tripped. Any help?
You'd probably be better off calling for service if the breaker was tripped these components as sensitive and expensive. Don't want to risk damaging them
We encountered a communication error on thermostat only one month after the installation. Is this related to installation?
If it's that soon it could possibly be the connections. They have to be done correctly if not bad wiring and termination will create communication issues
An hour ago my AC was working fine (although battling Oklahoma heat) and tonight it said communication error on the thermostat, then the support sent me to a subscription sign up page for further help with the issue. I’ve never been more supportive of a nuclear war. This all looks and sounds like a couple hundred dollars I don’t have
Is it this issue? Did this help? If not let me know what you see and I'll try and help
They might be pushing you to the monitoring. That's not going to help. If you got the extended labor warranty the repair should be free
We purchased the house last October, everything was working fine until tonight. Worth saying that I know NOTHING about HVAC. Following some other tutorials I took off the plates of the furnace in the garage and tripped a kill switch, and so far it’s definitely been a kill
If you took the plate off then it definitely reset it. Did it reset it?
While I’m not educated enough to know for sure I am guessing that is what happened. I reconnected the thermostat to wifi, set it up on my account (we moved into this home last year, first time I’ve had to mess with the thermostat so it was actually still linked to the prior resident, again not educated on this stuff) but I’m missing something easy I’m sure that a HVAC guy would switch and bill me $100
What company?
All i caught was south Louisiana
Are you near new Orleans
Yea Covington
@@WorldofHVAC thanks,,nice over there
Yea man I love it over here. I grew up in Harahan and moved up here in 2016. I try and stay away from the soutshore as much as possible
@@WorldofHVAC it was really nice before all the development started,,last time I went north shore the older areas,, were still nice and uncrowded
is .5 for communication bad?
Thats what you are getting?
I wouldnt say its bad, all of the issues we were having were at .3ish.
.6 is ideal
Are you still getting codes with .5?
@@WorldofHVAC the complaint was not keeping up temp. I was told that not to care superheat and subcool on this unit which seemed odd. However in cool check mode it kept ramping up and down and didn’t seem to run at a steady 100%
@@WorldofHVAC I found a bent shrader core leaking a soon as i unscrewed the valve cap. So I assumed it was low on refrigerant to I recovered pulled vacuum and refilled and got out of there. It was draining 😂
In the book you can find subcool levels that match the unit
@@WorldofHVAC thx
You started this video by saying the Daikin Fit is great at dehumidifying. I totally disagree. I am having a horrible time getting mine to dehumidify my house.
Gotta check the settings and see how tight your house is. Also check calibration. The thermostat has to stay 100% off for 30 mins. Then check the calibration on temperature and humidity and see if it needs adjusting
