Cage’s utterly, utterly faultless straight face throughout this whole piece is so incredibly Nic Cage it genuinely adds layers of humour I can’t even process.

That is the smile I always talk about when it comes to lord of war. The first scene where He stands in this ocean of bullet shells, he turns around and smile for a second and then he turns to his serious character. I love his acting in that because you can see at the very beginning that his character is a good guy in the first place

Nicholas Cage is a great actor - really great. "Wild at Heart", "Raising Arizona", "Leaving Las Vegas" and "Adaptation" are some examples. The last one, btw, an excellent movie and great acting!
