It's worth the wait. Comics are not the only things that go up in value. If you leave them alone, I have a Lego set that had a limited run of only a year, and I got it for its original price of $120 18 months after it retired in 2023 and now the set goes for anywhere from $150 to $200 used and $200 and up new. That's just a small bit of my sealed retired lego I have.
Candice jokes about Quil ripping open the Base Set Pokémon pack, but the fact of the matter is, packaging for Pokémon cards and those 90’s X-Men figures absolutely scream “Rip me open and play with me!” It almost takes superhuman willpower to resist.
