I think by playing with clocks this specific match wouldn't be so fun :-) both had lots of time to think, to re-think, to discuss the possibilities ect... Clocks gives pressure and are most of the time are against us at the end of the match(es)
You gotta watch Sam. He misplayed 3-1 roll at 1:35:58 and Mochy didn't catch it. He missed the other that happened earlier too. Don't know if it was legal to correct after Sam picked up his dice.
I think that the misplay at 1:35:58 is to Mochy's advantage because it weakens Sam's front game more than necessary. Condoning the play is correct if it's not a legal-moves-only event.
I guess it came about 'cause he was distracted with his earlier move regarding 6-5, and subsequently regretting the way he played, as Mochy would've missed the blots he would've left.
Hi Mochy! Thanks as always for uploading such interesting games!!! I have a general question after watching this match. At times I heard 'It's a clear money take'. How can a move or a cube decision be right or wrong, based on the type of game, whether it is for points or for money. If it is a take for money (or vice-versa), it should be a take for points as well, right? Do moves also depend on whether you are playing for points or for money? If so, how? I shall be grateful if you can explain this concept. Thanks as always for your time, and patience, and insight!
Hi, thank you for watching and a good question. No, a money game and a point match is completely different. It is very normal to have a position that is money take but pass at certain score. In the point match, where your goal is fixed number of point, players who lead the score tend to be passive. He should double late and drop more. He usually try to protect his lead, so he doesn't want to take a big cube. Imagin you are leading 6-0/9p and your opponent redouble to 8. Even if you win this 8 point game, your actual gain is just a 3 point and the rest is wasted (in money, you win 8 point). Your gammon win means nothing (in money you win extra 8 points). You can never redouble to 16 (in money, you can) as it is no point.
I generize a lot, but my point is the cube action an the checker play can be very very different in the point match game. Also it is different in each score. ex. 2-0/5p and 3-0/5p are very very different score.
Sam Korman's play was consistently terrible. Take the 2nd game where Korman doubled to 2. He had one checker seriously trapped at the back and had no reason to double. After a lucky turn when he's a massive favourite with a 4 cube, it's obvious that he can't easily gain his market and should try for a match-winning gammon, but he doesn't attempt this and is satisfied with 5-0. Korman's 8 cube was horrible. And in another game, he missed a standard opening 55 blitz with 8/3(2) 6/1*(2). Even worse, he gestured to indicate that he saw it, but somehow hadn't read enough backgammon books to know that it should be played instead of gestured.

Congratulations Mochy!! 🙂
All the best from Sweden!
Sam tried a slippery move with that double five at 1:07:32
Aynen bir illegal hamle daha!

I didn't catch it over the board. I dont think he did it on purpose, and I think it was not good for his position.

Aynen illegal hamle.3-1 yerine 3-2 oynamış oldu:(
Thanks for sharing, Mochy !
oh my God 😅😅 double 2
The double 2 at the end - that's what makes you a 'grandmaster' 🤣!!
Tx ! But the noise of these boards is horrible 😕
Great Game ! Thank you Mochy !
What a finish!
I don't know why this guy rubs me the wrong way.
Perhaps because he won while playing badly? Easy enough to do in a 9 point match.
Calling for dice, shaking the dice cup while opponent is thinking... that accent? Ahahha unbelievable match
so many thrilling games!
Great game mochy thanks for sharing
Thank you Mochy! 😀
Why is orange moving so slow? I'm getting a Neanderthal vision. And what is he yapping about? We can see him talking and not moving.
Good games. At 30:39, I believe 16-13 would have been the best move.
Where is the clock ?
Saatsiz oynadılar zaten saate gerek yoktu hamlesini bitiren zarları eline aldığında otomatik saate basmış gibi oynadılar.
Sam Korman started so well!
It's a lesson!
勉強になります!
Nice set...
Hi Mochy, i can see your name on the Backgammon, is that yours?. Thank you.

I despair that he does not arrange the chips well
Thank you Mochy
I can’t believe that double 2😯
So he hits two men and puts them right on top of each other. Does the word video mean anything here?
What a scumbag !!! He clearly tried to cheat at that 5-5. Not a deserved win at all. Thank you for upload Mochy, well played as always!
I think it wasn't intentional. Thank you for watching.
1:36:00 false move
kahvedeki dayıların oyununu izlemek daha zevk veriyo kıçı kırık bi iki bire yarım saat düşünülmez
Süreli oynasalar böyle bekleyemezler..2 saat tavla mı sürer haklısın..
15:00 wrong move I think. Look at to top right.
51:52 is it not take ?
eaaaaaaaasy take
it was a take. I am very glad he drop the cube.
It was a 0,849 blunder..

Ben olsam kesin kabul ederdim küpü çünkü o riske değerdi kesinlikle.3 hane riski olduğu için kabul edilir ama 2 hane riski olsaydı kabul edilmezdi...
42:20 Mochie's dices are too shitty man...
Discussing his position with onlookers is very disrespectful, If that's Ausy backgammon you can keep it in Aus please.
Without time limite it's not funny, but really boring
بازیکن سیاه بسیار ضعیف است
