i love anomalys concept i can roleplay my colony being the kingdom of Lordaeron fending off the unending armies of the undead and crazy cultists, necromancers and abominations to test my mighty holy light paladins, but i do wish the horax cult was a real faction to make it more interactive
I'm not sure what you expect them to do with the mod to make it not dependent on the Anomaly DLC. The entire premise of the mod is based around expanding and modifying that DLC, and uses DLC features to do so (The regeneration and flesh whips, at least). They might be able to add the Horax cult in their mod directly, but I'm not sure that would even be legal, as that would give people free access to paid DLC content, even if it's only a little. I was also quite curious to see if the regeneration gene functioned similarly to a Ghoul's regeneration, where they can regrow limbs and stuff, but that was either not touched on in the video or I missed a mention of it not doing that.
Honestly didn’t test to see if it regrew limbs, I assumed because of the flat HP gain rate it was just healing limbs that were damaged. If it said in the the description of it then I would’ve checked! 😊
One of my favorite things you do with your mod reviews is reviewing the store page as an advertisement for the mod as well as a source of information that I, the user, would potentially pick up from it. Thanks for doing it, and for showing me this mod!
On the topic of improving the Anomaly DLC, there are a few mods I'd like to see covered, but one in particular more than the others: Ancient amorphous threat Apparently, it has a difficult multi-stage boss, with custom music, and you can even recruit them after the fight!
hopefully in the future they’ll make the cult into a full faction with bases to raid and such, i want my vikings to raid cults and take over eldritch artefacts back with them
You might want to have multiple rounds of testing, to average out rimworld's RNG damage system. Things like damage ranges and pawns dodging attacks can really skew results without accounting for it
Yeah totally get where you’re coming from, off camera I did do multiple tests, for the sake of making the video a bit shorter I only included one that i felt was the most accurate on average, some of the tests went majorly one way or another some were what i showed. Appreciate the feedback!
Think a problem about anomaly centric mods is the y are way more spoiler succetible So its hard to advertize a mod that adds 3 new monsters without accidentally speaking too much
Anomaly is the weakest?? Nah I personally don't think so. the full swing of anomaly is felt when ur on ambient mode- Instead of the normal obilisk mode you played on ur playthru on stream. Royalty still is the weakest dlc in my eyes, lol. My opinion ofc. Biotech
You do good coverage, but I got to say you got to get off the screen or make yourself about half the size So many times I want to see what's on the screen and what I see is you waving your arms around sorry for the negative feedback

I’ve been trying over the course of the past 40 mod reviews to reduce my on screen presence, a lot of the time it’s either, a static screen with me on it talking or a static screen without me in it but with a voice over. So getting the right balance is key. So I appreciate the feedback, genuinely it’s a thing I’m working on, slowly haha
I always did enjoy playing a """humanitarian""" society which defends the weak and combats cults and such so i'll likely add this once i prune my modlist I say "humanitarian" because if you're not part of my faction you just become an alternative silver source I'm not fascist.
You really tend to forget just how weak the empire DLC was with all the mods making it better. I'd say it's Biotech > Anomaly > Ideology in terms of content. If you consider free update that came with DLC release - sure, Ideology's one was better, but it's not like it's a part of a DLC. As for the mod - it's kinda neccecery, yeah. Not basegame worthy tho. In pure basegame Horax cult events are quite dangerous already, but in modded - they are dull, easy and just mildly annoying. This mod makes them dangerous again, which fits almost any modded campaign. there is one concern tho... will it work properly with raid AI altering mods such as turtle friendly raids?
Yeah I agree honestly, the amount of content provided by anomaly is a lot compared to Royalty and Ideo, I think the big difference is that those two mods make sense for Rimworld whereas anomaly is a bit too far removed
I understand you might have read alot of public speech help books, but in all honesty, you dont have to keep wavering your hand around like that to keep people engaged. Just alittle fwi
