What a beautiful tribute to his friends best friend. 🙏❤️ I was quite young when this came out, but I remember having this album and playing it over and over… probably drove my mom nuts!!
This is a very sweet, touching sensitive song, very moving,a tear jerker. After listening to it,and watching the video,I now get what this song's all about. He truly loved his dog and it loved him as well.this song was wonderfully crafted song, beautiful lyrics very masterfully composed,he really hit it outta the park when he wrote this song,he truly out did himself when he wrote it,and sung his heart out when he did the song.Like the saying goes,a dog truly is mans best friend.John M Guinto

You are very welcome, LazySingle Daisy Bronwyn!
What a great tribute.
This was #47 on the top 100 for 1976!
La mejor canción jamás escrita sobre el amor del hombre y sus mascotas. Nostalgia ante una partida.
I sure hope Shannon found and crossed over Rainbow Bridge...
Please pray 🙏 for my Doggie Leo. He is very sick and my heart ❤ is breaking 💔. OH GOD GET HIM WELL!
You have the best opportunity to call God and all Heaven down to you NOW. The best experience will happen!! You have the opportunity to hand Leo into His hands and He'll show you so much about Leo you didn't yet know!!
How is your dog?
Beautiful song animals are better than people and humans could learn a lot from them
I heard hom sing in Atlanta at alex Cooley ball room long ago
When this was released, I didn't like it all. The problem was that I had only heard it on scratchy AM radio stations, and I had never heard the lyrics correctly! Now, I have read the lyrics and the story behind the song. It has changed my opinion completely about the song. Honestly, I wonder how many other songs I misunderstood and consequently condemned. Oh, well, I like this sad doggy song. Woof!
Beauty forever!!!...
It's about a dog the beach boy's dog
