Wohooo 🎉 Congratulations on your 1k subscribers! I think you should upload when u can, I like your videos and look forward to them. I think if u stress over uploading when it isn’t convenient for you it will no longer be fun for you and that isn’t fair to you. Your videos are very genuine and I can see how much you enjoy your plants and sharing your knowledge 😊 So keep up the great work your effort definitely shows 🤩 I’ve never had a monstera 👀 they are beautiful but due to the prices being so high I would be afraid to get one and have it die on me 😅 But it’s on my wish list and if the time and price is right I will definitely get one!
Thank you so much for your kind words 💞 I appreciate all the viewers so much because you guys really help me feel more confident to put out more videos! I hope I can continue making videos
Jing just upload when you can.. I enjoy being surprised with new videos. Enjoy your new plants! I have just purchased a hoya spartioides 👏👏👏👏💚🌿and CONGRATULATIONS 🎉🎉🎉🎉
I'm loving your content Jing. Don't stress too much. Looking at the comments, the plant community is welcoming you with open arms 💖. Some content ideas would be care videos and propagation videos by genus. I'm always curious to know what works for other people.
Thank you so much. I really appreciate it. Hard not to be critical towards myself (probably my Chinese upbringing 😂) but being on UA-cam has helped with my self esteem a lot ✨
Congratulations on 1000 subscribers! That serpens silver is so pretty, it's also been on my wishlist for years but I so rarely even see them featured, not to mention for sale. I hope it grows well for you! I'll also be so curious to see how that lacunosa grows out.
Yes! I love the serpens silver. I think it looks delicate and pretty 🤩 It hasn't grown for me yet but I was told it likes a lot of light so I will be experimenting.
I hope things slow down for you! I know it’s so hard to find time to record, edit and upload! Just do what works for you and don’t get burnt out ❤ That monstera Albo is stunning! Congrats on 1k!!
Congratulations on 1000 subscribers, Jing! Loved your new plants! The Ficus shivereana is on my wish list. Just acquired a triangularis off a clearance rack. Put it in my little greenhouse and it is budding up nicely. I have a tree size ficus lyrata (grown from a 4” pot) and a burgundy ficus too.
Hi Jing, really like your content, I look forward to your videos but life happens so that take priority. I do check your channel to make sure I don’t miss out. Lovely plants by the way.❤😊
I totally have this fenestration problem too! I had like 3 leaves that had no fenestration... So I moved it to like a window, I'm south west facing and finally I got one with one single slit 😂.. so we shall see the next leaf if it will get better as there is more sunlight now.
Hi Jing! I wonder if your albos aren’t sizing up and giving you fenestrated leaves because they are being grown in semi hydro. My Thai constellation sized up after I moved it to soil. My A. Vittarifolium started producing massive leaves as soon I transitioned it to soil from semi hydro. Maybe has something to do with the roots growing more robust in a soil medium. Just a thought!
@@planthappens I think not only are they in soil and fertilized, they start fenestrating as they get older and bigger. I have a regular monstera in soil and it's huge.
How many leaves have you let grow in your care for your monstera? Like I think it took me about 6 leaves before I started to get a few fenestrations on my albo. But it is still pretty juvenile but I get more fenestrations with each leaf even if it’s just one more than the last. With my green monstera it’s in a dark corner sitting next to my cabinet and it’s full fenestrations and has the inner holes too which I was really surprising to me! So yea I think put it on the moss pole and just let it grow for while and sooner than later you’ll get one!
I think each time I grew 5-6 leaves and the most I got were 1 slit 😂 and I've had them on the moss pole too. I'm starting to think maybe it's not getting enough nutrients?
What fertilizer do you use?I'm using foliage focus and diamond nectar so it sucks up the nutrient well and mine is growing.I have a giant green one actually 2 in the pot that are monsters .And 2 small albos that are doing wel
Hello new subie here 😊 what medium do you use with your baby hoyas? Please upload when you’re ready, having 2 kids is hard work as it is 😅 (but Obviously just as rewarding) Regards from Melbourne 🇦🇺
I think that you uploading when it is ready should work for most people. Life is way too scheduled. I have enjoyed your content.
I appreciate that!
So happy you reached 1,000 subscribers. Love your plants. We will watch when ever you have time to film for us. Happy planting
Thank you! I think it suits me more to do it not in schedule... Stresses me less 😌

Maybe a video about what drew you to this hobby? What resources you rely on? Favorite products?
That would be a great topic for a report and chat. Thank you!

You must be good with ficus! I hope this shivereana will grow big 🌿
I really like the serpens but the serpens silver is fantastic. I may need to look for one, now.

More light is helping your monsters but burns my monstera 😂 Whyyyyyy I think they just don't like me
@@planthappens mine doesn't have that much white so I think it's okay for me 😂 I would love to have it more sectoral kind of varigation

@@planthappens I think not only are they in soil and fertilized, they start fenestrating as they get older and bigger.
I have a regular monstera in soil and it's huge.
Monster just needs a lot of light and that ways need a lot of fertilizer too, something to climb and they will get splits no Problem
Seems like they're more heavy feeder than I expected. I need to up the concentration!

I would increase the feed and see if that helps you get some fenestrations!
Thanks! This seems to be a suggestion many people are giving me. I will try for sure!

Also I do not put them straight under the grow lights but close by,so the whites don't burn.
Also the shivereana can grow up to 24 inches in one year.
I've heard good things about the Foliage Focus! Maybe I will try it after my current one runs out (IndoOne and I ad calmag)

Thank you! I usually grow hoya cuttings in perlite, but I use pon too!
