    I have been doing this very sort of carving for a while but do not have the editing skills to present my work like this. BTW Native Americans were not into bees and honey, very nice results though. Thanks for the video.

    • @Woodcarving_Master
      @Woodcarving_Master  Рік тому +1

      The bees and honey satchel were the clients specifications for the commission not any representation of anything authentic or unauthentic my clients that are paying the $$ get to choose thats how custom work is etc..
      As far representing your work its a must have skill today to be successful highly advisable that you learn camera and video skills to show your work etc. Thks for watching my channel

      @@Woodcarving_Master You are so right, the client picks the tune. Was that wood a southern yellow pine? I always make my first cut halfway through cutting from top to bottom. After seasoning and carving, in direct sun I make a tapered filler board to close the gap caused by shrinkage. I have noted a 1.5" gap in a 16" poplar log. It may open and close a bit over time but at least all the cracking is down the back and will limit it's self to the torso area only. Cheers!

      Great for interior carvings but very fast rotting outdoors like poplar hence was never used for traditional exterior wood sculpture like cigar store figures great wood for strictly indoor woodwork

    That's God given talent right there.
    It reminds me of Exodus 31:2-5. "Then the LORD said to Moses, "See, I have chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, ability and knowledge in all kinds of crafts - to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze, to cut and set stones, to work in wood, and to engage in all kinds of craftsmanship."

      @@Woodcarving_Master Can you make Cigar Indians with tall headdresses depicting Brave warriors wooden with plaster of Paris over them they look like Greek statues from the orthodox church they were green robes, and they are woman they are from the 1960s. They were earrings. They depict generic native Americans or American Indians in general they are holding cigars in their right hand they are painted white all over their gesso. They stand on a box they kneel. They raise their left arm. They were red lipstick. They are exposing their chests by their green robes. Their headdresses are extremely colorful. They are very old looking. They look Greek, and they sometimes they look Italian, and French. Their earrings are yellow. They are like hula hoops. They have long hair. They look European they in-fact look somewhat like very large dolls but they are Cigar Indians but they also look like they belong in a very old antique store with relics from the past possibly jukeboxes even possibly even Cracker Barrel from many many many years ago. They are unique looking. They look like also a lost art. They look like somebody molded them in a contemporary art museum almost like papier-mâché sort-of but they depict the American brave warrior. Just think of Christian church statues the way they modeled the depiction of David in certain churches for example right like how in some sacred room they had David as a mold inside like an Orthodox Greek church or Christian church or Catholic church. They are very antique. They are the male equivalent mannequin-looking of the old gesso princesses. They have black eyes. They have black eyebrows. They look somewhat like Christmas the cigars they hold look like a Christmas present. They are about 5 feet in height. They look like something in a lost art store or a consignment store or inside a furniture show room they look unusual but they look like also Cigar Indians that are sometimes auctioned off on live auctioneers the website. Can you make those?

      Cigar store Indians were not historically painted to the degree of a realistic oil painting..they were for advertising purposes displayed out in the elements.....a monday morning quarter back like .you need to do your homework on how they were suppose to be painted.
