A very spirited drive. The handling was super impressive. Well done.

I've been watching all of the MINI SE videos I could find since ordering my SE seven months ago, and I've never seen anyone drive the car as intensely as you did on your Genting Run video. Clicking on the thumbnail for your YT, I was expecting a dry, technical discussion, and maybe some new info. Instead, I found some serious driving on roads with elevation changes and traffic considerations. You sir, have some skills.

Its relatively easy to go over wltp range of 230km. Drove without stopping for 220km with 10% battery left. 40-50km of 100kmh highway, the rest was city+60-80kmh roads. Its funny how inaccurate the cars mileage left numbers are, though better to be optimistic I guess.

Hi there from Tasmania, Australia! Loved your video and I love this car. Just a quick question, how do you find the throttle pedal modulation when driving on those sweeping bends? Is it pretty easy to get used to, compared to a petrol car? Cheers.

Hi Duncan. I set it on Low Energy Recovery mode, therefore throttle modulation feels more like a petrol engined car as there is less regenerative braking when I release the throttle pedal. I'd recommend this setting when tackling sweeping bends.

Is it faster than Cooper S? :)

on a standing start it will be a bit slower as the Cooper S does the 0-100km/h in 6.7 secs vs the Electric at 7.3 secs. The Cooper S is also faster on top speed with 235km/h vs 150km/h. But where the Electric shines is in the instant acceleration when you floor it. With the Cooper S, it takes time for the gearbox to drop a few gears coupled with some slight turbo lag creates that delay when you floor the accelerator, but you don't get that with the Electric. With this, it definitely feels faster than the Cooper S.

@@infernoelise Thanks for the long answer to the short question. I subscribed already. SE seems faster out of the corners but slower on corners i.e. generates less G force. Compared to another S video of yours, there was lots traffic today. I wonder with no traffic what would be the time difference at the top. 5-10 sec.s slower I guess. Ordered my SE a few months ago, it's due early 2023. I hope the wait won't be longer 😊 Been to Malaysia a few times by the way. Friendly people, lovely country. Cheers from Turkey 👋🏻👋🏻

@@TANOCA17 thanks for subscribing to my channel. Your estimate of 5-10 secs difference seems about right. Just for a comparison, my previous 3 door S was faster by 7 secs compared to the 5 door version. Congrats on your purchase of the SE, I'm sure you are going to enjoy every minute driving it.
