I’ve had a 2015 and 2019 and now a 2022 WRX. The 2022 is significantly better. The ride is better, stiffer, better delivery of power, better stock tune, better suspension and more fun than my two previous WRXs.

Exact water temp not needed. Modern cars shutter off the radiator until the coolant comes to engine temp, then opens up the radiator as it needs to bleed off heat when hot. This is for emissions, so the engine gets to operating temperature and efficiency . You cannot heat a liquid above its boiling point, so once the coolant/water mix gets to 210, it stays there. Oil temp is necessary as that warms up at a slower rate than the coolant, and would indicate the engine is running too hard if it warms significantly.
Sick and tired of hearing people gripe about minor things which are all subjective for the most part. The car still looks way better and is a better performer and all rounder than may of the other brands being made today. Every generation of the WRX/STI Subaru comes with you hear these negatives, yet people sill like them and buy them and then forget about it. The bug eye was seen as ugly and now many persons say it is their favourite shape. The minor issues will all grow on you people. get over it!
As someone who has always wanted a WRX but unable to get one until recently. I own the 2022 WRX Limited, I think what it comes with is very nice. I do think it looks like a mom car and I do hate that. My goal is to change things to make it look better and improve the outside looks of it. I think it drives wonderful. Again this is my first WRX so I have nothing to compare it to. I did want an STI back in the day but I know me and know that the STI was probably not worth it for me personally, because this car is also my daily driver. This car puts a smile on my face all the time and I love getting to wave at other WRX and STI owners. I wish instead of people hating on it would just let others enjoy the cars and be kind to other drivers in the VB and not look down on them because we don't own the VA. I love how most of the VA's look but, it didn't make sense for me to spend the same amount of money on an older car with miles when I can get a brand new car from factory and be the first owner. Maybe I am the only person that feels like this and that's fine too. I enjoy my VB and will continue to enjoy it. I hope that you love it and have fun in it. I know I do.
Same here but I have added some air diffusers and other body work to my car so it has the rice 🍚 look and not like a mama car. If I see you on the road I will throw you the wave too 😊✌🏽
I actually really like the direction they went with this design and really don’t mind the plastic at all. I think it’s an important step to break away from the Impreza entirely and I feel like down the road it’ll get better.
I agree. I have a ceramic white 2023 wrx limited. I love it. I think it looks awesome. I love the cladding. Looks great in my opinion. Best looking wrx so far. All around great car. I paid way too much and would do it all over again tomorrow. For those who disagree and don't like the looks, don't get one. Easy as that. I'm going to love and enjoy mine regardless of the haters. Haters gonna hate. I just ignore them. Peace ✌️ 😊
Test Drove the Base model today in Rally Blue.. Was allot of fun, drove the stick. I can see buying one. I think the looks are unique and sporty, at 32k what looks better in 4 door guise? 2. All Wheel Drive. 3. handles rough roads and bumps well. 4. great Visibility 5 good storage and good rear seat room. ( for example the mazda 3 is same length but worse visibility and very small backseat) The Fender flares in person and car in general looks great in person. Blue and Grey best colors
I just got the exact same one and honestly blown away with how sick the car is. I didn’t think I liked it till I saw it. I changed the grill emblems and it helps w the sti style one.
Congrats on the new car! Can’t wait to see the video reaction after you install the intake, TMIC and e60 tune. My VB is a rowdy little beast after bolt ons and consulting Mr. Berry for a tune. You said, “The best WRX is a 2007 STI.” Well yeah, that car’s MRSP is $48k updated to 2023 dollars. Just wait until you make 420whp for $3k and 3 hours worth of work, and still have the car be rock solid reliable and easy to live with on a daily basis. Then you’ll see why we say the VB is easily the best non-STI WRX overall, and honestly a better choice when compared to the VA STI if you want a fast daily driver that you can track a few times per year and never have reliability issues.
I'd say it's all still subjective from person to person. Like I said every year. New one comes out that's technically speaking the best one. I am excited to play with this thing a bit to see whatall is possible with it 🔥
I've had three wrx's and now I'm on my first STI. The first two wrx's were 2014 and loved them. The second was a 2016 and dumped a few grand into it and hated every minute of it. The STI always keep surprising me and its stock. I'm glad I'm watching this video. I'm still on the fence about the new wrx. Don't like the look, but how people are putting basic mods and making great numbers on the drag strip is what is keeping me interested. I can't wait for you to mod it.
I bought a World Rally blue 2006 hawkeye wrx in 2011. Car had new engine with 26000 km on the clock. Still have it today after 12 years with 78000 km. No problems with anything. I am resident in South Africa, Ceres and have 2 hatchbacks, my hawk and 2 foresters.
Well I never expected to see this car on the channel but I’m happy you’re giving it a shot! Can’t wait to see which direction you go with modifications for power and looks. Mines still bone stock with 3k miles after 9 months owning it 😂 Just enjoying having a brand new car.
Can't wait to see what you do with it! Just picked up my 23 GT a few days ago and I've been having fun with it (My first Subaru) Im also waiting for the new cobb system and I will be watching you for now on to see what kinda mods u do. Thank you for the great vid man!
I have a 22 wrx. I was and am in the same boat as you. I was hesitant to jump into one. But after 4500 miles, I have loved the car. I've had an 05, and a 17 wrx so far. I do miss my 05 very much. But as a daily, my 22 is perfect. Can't wait to see what you do with your 23 in the coming months!
Was just about to post basically the same thing. ‘05, ‘21 and now a ‘23. Loved my ‘05. But, the ‘21 was just ok. Felt like I always had to downshift/grabbing gears. I think the FA20 is not nearly as good as FA24.
In my opinion with this platform. I think subaru knew that people would be taking advantage of that added displacement in the engine and throw more power at the car without having to worry about things breaking or having as many problems. Yes, I agree that the power on the stock block of the 24 is to be desired. But there is a lot of room for reliable power upgrades
Watching your videos for the first time, I have a 06 STi and a 94 Rx7. I am thinking of getting a 23 WRX for my next daily and I think I might be going that route after watching your video and others. It seems like people are liking the car more once they see it in person and actually drive it.
I’ve gone gone from the VA to the VB and you’re right it does feel more tame, but that’s something I appreciate about it as my daily commuter. Suspension is way softer than the VA, but still stiffer than most econo boxes and the power delivery is smooth, making the drives more tolerable, but still a fun car to rip around on weekends. The wheel arches is actually my favorite part of the design, but something needs to be done about the large grill and it’s funky shape rear end. My biggest complaint is too many touch screen controls. I want to be able to control AC without having to take my eyes off the road.
I do not like the rear end. Everything else has grown on me and in the right color, even with that ugly rear end design, it is a sharp looking car. I am thinking about waiting for the refresh.
@@27Zanglewhen will the refresh come out? What does that mean like a new variation? I am about to sell my modded out jeep and hoping to get at least 50k for it, and want to put that money towards a new WRX and mod it out
@@27ZangleI do like this car. Despite things they eh maybe could be done better. I do have a feeling an face lift will make this car look stellar. Tough decision to wait or not lol
Iam so glad you bought the new wrx some people hate it but I love it I saw a red one the other day with a exhaust and omg it had me sold ...iam definitely gonna get one 🤙👏👏👏👏👏👏
The VB WRX has a break in tune that limits boost to 10psi for the first 1000km (~620mi) ... so the car wakes up quite a bit after that. Max boost according to my dash is 12.8psi after break in.
Cracking vid again my friend , I must say I enjoyed the drive back I live in the uk and it was good seeing all things American it really is a lovely part of the world 👍
Came from a 2014 hatch and im in love with the VB. You say its more “tame” but i just think its more refined and comfortable. My wagon was rattley and felt like a tin can but the VB just feels more well put together and solid than other WRX models. Love the video man, excited to see what you can do with it!
I got a thing for tin cans though 😫 Comparing it to the GM6, GDs, GRs and VAs I've had I'd say it is refined but I'd also say it's more tame. Bzxk in 2011 when I had my 08 STI that car had no rattles, felt smooth as well. BUT regardless, excited to see what I can pull out of this thing 🫣
At first I hated the looks on these, but Its grown on me since my brother in law has a 23 premium. Its surprisingly good. Tho I will not ever get used to huge tablet interiors. I'll personally stay with my 17 premium because its the last year with the red dash lighting. But honestly these new wrx's have alittle more potential. Great buy Tanner!
Im a GC8 lover myself but this model is growing on me after you modify the outside a little, for me the best part about the new wrx is that the engine is amazing for tuning and huge hp figures with simple bolt ons! Cant wait for adventures with this car.
@@arealglitterb0y Oh fuck, I didn’t clarify that my comment was also an opinion! How silly of me to think my comment could’ve possibly implied my own opinion! Having my VA 2021 STI since its creation, and the 2.5RS 2 door coupe. my mom lost her ford focus hatch from a deer and a wreckless driver combo she got in the middle of, and wanted a manual. SHE GOT A WRX and in rally blue we LOVE it and makes for a great mother son combo for this subie fest midwest! We have been enjoying it but we are going to start modifying it here shortly! infact my VA is nearly out of warrenty!!! and that means mods! Moms WRX will be next! this is going to be really cool!
I bought the 2022 VB CVT. My first automatic in over 30 years. I’m getting old & traffic in Sydney (Au) isn’t getting any better so auto was the way to go. Mine has 3 driving modes selected via a steering wheel switch. The first, or grandpa mode is the most sedate. I normally drive in the second mode which is ok for general driving. The third mode is awesome fun. It sharpens the throttle response tremendously, the CVT uses 8 preset ratios which will shift automatically with the gear shift on the left side, ( right hand drive) & the push it over to the right & it’s full paddle shifter mode. Also the CVT has an electric handbrake. So far I’m liking the car. The looks I’m ok with. One thing I really wish the VB had is unequal length headers so a cat back exhaust upgrade would give it that adorable WRX rumble. I was considering an Invidia Q400 cat back but I’ve heard VB’s after this mod & it doesn’t give it the rumble.😢
What’s wild is so many people don’t understand how fun 300whp is let alone trying to keep a FA together pushing 500 at the wheel. 275-300hp at the wheels will put smiles on your face and leave dollars in your wallet (minus 93OCT😂) I have a 08 LGT TA Tuned putting down 271 at the wheels going on 16 years same all stock minus a GS DP and EBCS Great project car looking forward to your mods and improvements.
Great video, i do like the new WRX but i understand why some hate the wheel gauding. Ive owned various Volvo XC70's and XC90 's and have gotten use to wheel gauding. My favorite WRX within buying reach to me is the GR chassis hatch but love the 22b!!
Yoo my mom bought me one of these! Already plasti dipped the wheels. I CANNOT wait to put 20 inch rims on it tho!! What you guys think about mirror tint? Ima be stuntin on the haters!!

Edmunds says the 2023 base weighs 3,297, whereas the Premium weighs 3,462, so the base version is already in a better position performance-wise than the Premium from the start (except for the wheels/tires), being 165 lbs. lighter.
All the tame talk about this car is what is selling me. I went from small front wheel sporty cars like Civic SI and Fiesta ST to sport sedan in the IS350. If I can get the best of both worlds I would be happy. Turbo stick with 250 plus horsepower that's fun when you want and chill when you need. Really is probably my next car.
Can't wait to see what you do with it, I just got mine 2 weeks ago! Recently put on an sti wing that fits. I've been told that borla exhaust can help the sound quality by my mechanic.
Non technical review of the newest WRX. The 23 is my third wrx limited and 4th Subaru since 2016 and it is my opinion that the car is maturing with me. Never had any issues with the cars aside from body damage from minor accidents and vandalism. I lease because I’m a city dweller with no garage and can’t get my shit together enough to actually purchase the car outright. Also since it’s a turbo, I wanna drive it like one and turn it in before my warranty expires. Started with a 2018, then traded in for a 2020 and was prepared to keep my 2020 but after seeing a few people look happy as hell in the newest generation I decided to make the change. What I mean by maturing with me is the previous versions were a little bit more raw sports feel. The 2023 feel like the 2020 went to the gym, worked out and gained a little muscle and then put on a business suit. Ride is more comfortable. Handling is sharper. Less road noise but you can still hear all the things (aside from a blow off valve that existed on previous generations) And my favorite part is feeling the turbo kick in in 6th gear. Always thought 6th was for getting better gas mileage on the freeway and never thought I would still be able to pull cars while in 6th. Was grinning ear to ear at how much you can still feel the turbo work while in top gear. This may be the one I keep forever but only because as I get older, it’s nice to have all the creature comforts combined with the sporty performance we have all come to love over the years. Not sure if it’s placebo effect after finding out about why they put the big black trim on the sides but my mind tells me that the car feels more aerodynamic with less resistance in the wheel well area. My mom has a cross trek so it’s cute to see them next to each other all matchy matchy, but I originally planned to keep the 2020 because of the diaper they added to 2022 WRX. After careful consideration from past experiences, I have come to the conclusion that I actually like the diaper booty because I live in the city and park on the street so I think if and when someone dings my bumper, I’ll be less irritated because it won’t damage the paint. Mom lives in the country so the new aesthetic fits well with the mild off-roading I’ll be doing while I climb her driveway. It’s not for everyone and I disliked it initially due to the new look but it has grown on me for sure. Still holding out for a revival of the sti wagon but this will have to do for now. Another thing that has changed is calibration if the rear view camera. When i first had the 2018 and 20 WRX s I would have to change my curb side door mirror position so I could avoid hitting curbs while parallel parking. I eventually got lazy and proceeded to hit every curb I could find. As wheels got rotated, the entire set filled up with curb rash. It wasn’t until the service guy told me the wheels are around $2k of the value of the car and my laziness depreciated the value of the car. The 23 rear view camera or the body design now allows for me to reverse into parallel spots without grazing the curb. Sometimes I have to get out and check and repark closer but I prefer this over hearing my rim scrape curbs. I’m sure that over time I will get used to the new angles but the old booty was WIDE! If you’re on the fence about this car I would say take a look at resell values. The WRX has one of the highest resell values out there so even with my wheel rash, I was able to use my last WRX to turn a bad financial decision around and transition to the new car with a very small increase in monthly payment. I entered my last two leases with negative equity but because of the high demand for used cars, the payoff of my last lease I estimate to be around $4k less than its resale value. When I told the dealership that I was going to buy the 20 in cash if they couldn’t match the monthly payment on the new car lease, they very politely gave me a new payment that I could agree to. Same exact lease but the 23 msrp after dealer addons was about 4k more than the 20. Haven’t done the math yet but 15 dollar increase over 36 months is far less than that and I got a brand new car that in my opinion has more features and is a better fit for me. So if you’re a current WRX owner who is on the fence, go test drive it. Let the cat do the talking. And also realize that the dealerships ant your used car because that means they get to sell two cars, a new one to you and your old one to someone who has to have analog air conditioner controls.
@@Smeedia for sure excited for the VA content love your channel I picked up an 18’ couple months ago and you were one of the first channels I stumbled on for learning about the WRX as it’s my first
I came from a Tacoma and the steering was the biggest shock to me when I first drove the VB. All cars drive differently but the VB steering was the most dramatic change from anything else I had driven.
I appreciate your giving the Brembo upgrade high priority. Way too many builds overlook the crappy grey stock calipers IMO (and painting them is like putting lipstick on a pig). Still my favorite mod on my '21 limited, as much from a performance stand-point as aesthetic. To me the extra 4k for sunroof, leather seats, and SRH were worth it, but can see why some might not agree, especially if you want more personalized headlights at some point in the future. Premium still a better option than 17" wheeled base anyway. I tend to view the VB and WRX VA as a good starting point, where the STI has always been a more complete package, but all still with a ton of potential waiting to be unlocked.
I wish you luck on the STI swap, because when I went to put the BRZ mTrans into an H6 outback; I had to find out the hard way that the starter is on the wrongside requiring a more than insignificant amount of fabrication.
Fairly Certian on this Trans the Starter is in the same location as the STI 6 Speed, COuld be wrong but pretty sure... If not shouldn't be too bad to make work
Pleased to see you’ve purchased the VB, I have one and love it… Just gotta say if there’s ANY suv, 4wd, off-road vehicle that actually needed the plastic wheel guards from a practical point of view it’s the WRX, it’s an off-road power house/rally bread car that churns a lot of gravel! So instead of ripping apart paint the gravel bounces of plastic….win win..wish people would stop banging on the fenders, think practically people…or buy the 21 down.
Excited to see what you do with this car, and what kind of power you'll be able to make out of it. I do like the look of the car, but there are some things like you said that I don't really like. I do definitly agree with you on the 06-07 STI being the best generation of these cars. I currently have a 03 wrx, and love everything about it. No crazy mods, just and exhaust and flywheel with a tune, but thats all I really need. Your the first person ive found who is starting a project on one of these new WRX's and like I said before, am super excited to see where it goes.
Just got a new 2023 Sapphire Blue WRX premium with 7 miles on it. First time owner or a WEX but my buddy had a really nice 2018 that had lots of mods. This car handles and moves so effortlessly and sharp sport tuned suspension is better than my mustang GT with suspension mods and my BMW 645CI. This is much smaller tho but less power. I’m interested to see how to extract some more power out of this baby and start modifying it.
Favorite generation WRX is a tough one. Partial to a 22b original, then I liked ‘04 over ‘05… VA comes in just after, for me. New one has a better engine than the FA20, but it just doesn’t “feel” like a Subaru. Always wanted to see you take on an FA20 WRX in depth, but hope the 24 goes well, Tanner. The RX7 was totally unexpected addition, but really cool project and can’t wait to see it running. Sorry the STi has been such a rough go, man… but I’m glad you haven’t quit. It will be awesome!
@@lildonnie7607 i think subaru and a lot of the japanese market will be dead before long. Germany and the US are putting out some nice looking cars, with a lot of power, with nice interiors, with a decent price tag. It’s going to be hard to beat.

I can relay the message to him. He's planning on using his new laptop and tactrix cable. Looking forward to this build. Only complaint of the FA24 is that it didn’t get the port injection like BRZ. Fuel economy I get but it limits these motors so much
That system is only beneficial at idle and is only done to prvent carbon build up on the intake valves. direct injection is more easy to tune than port
@@growingup4487 VW does both in GTI and R and it completely eliminates carbon build up problems on inlet valves and with only few simple mods 500 HP is not a problem. I don't think this will be possible with new WRX where every additional HP was always very expensive and risky.
@@growingup4487 it’s true that’s it’s beneficial at idle but from a tuning standpoint it’s neat to tune the car like a 4 barrel carb. You have the DI injectors fire till their pulse width is maxed out or the car is at WOT then you kick on the PI injectors and back off the DI one’s a bit. With DI injectors you can only go so big till the fuel system gets limited, the same cannot be said about port injection.

Right? The STI has a diffrent feel to it. I think we can make an STI Varient out if this car and it should be 🔥 need to get to modifying this thing 😅
Damn what would it hit with bolt ons and tune? I don’t really like it either but in this market it feels worth it
I'd prefer a more analogy kind of dashboard, not a fan of the big screen in the middle of the car trend
Tanner for president! Sold my VA and purchased a VB 3 months ago- so pumped to see what you can make it man!
The split screen is not aesthetically pleasing but functionally is the same as the big one splits the screen anyway.
Told myself I can't go wild with it until my RX7 runs 😅
Nothing like driving a new ride, the scent, no body rattles (yet) and immaculate paint and interior!
Like I commented in the last video, we get a little bit of everything on this channel which is❤
Can't wait to see what you do with it! Just picked up my 23 GT a few days ago and I've been having fun with it (My first Subaru) Im also waiting for the new cobb system and I will be watching you for now on to see what kinda mods u do. Thank you for the great vid man!
23 GT owner here too. Love it!
The FA24 is most definitely a solid upgrade over prior gens, but subaru left some very needed power on the table with it 😅
In my opinion with this platform.
Iam so glad you bought the new wrx some people hate it but I love it I saw a red one the other day with a exhaust and omg it had me sold ...iam definitely gonna get one 🤙👏👏👏👏👏👏
go for the limited guys the headlights and seats are worth it. 👏🏼
Or GT if you can live with the CVT.
The VB WRX has a break in tune that limits boost to 10psi for the first 1000km (~620mi) ... so the car wakes up quite a bit after that. Max boost according to my dash is 12.8psi after break in.
Not a bad car but so many better options now.
Just got my 23 WRX premium a few weeks ago. And honestly I love it SO MUCH!! 💅🏻💅🏻
Maybe that's because it's new 🤔
@@mojoproductions3714 Feels way better than when my hatch was new.
I got a thing for tin cans though 😫
Comparing it to the GM6, GDs, GRs and VAs I've had I'd say it is refined but I'd also say it's more tame. Bzxk in 2011 when I had my 08 STI that car had no rattles, felt smooth as well. BUT regardless, excited to see what I can pull out of this thing 🫣
Awesome bro I’m stoaked to see what you do with this
Thing needs some pep in its step 😅
I always like the surprises dude! 👍🏼
I think it looks beautiful
Great, honest review. Awesome content overall. Thanks.
FINALLY SOME FIRE CONTENT ON A NEW ENGINE!!!! WELCOME TO THE CHENNELL
Thanks, buddy! Also, I'm not a huge fan of the tablet thing, but it sure it'll grow on me 😅
@@Smeedia well it comes with its perks I guess lol👍🏼
Im a GC8 lover myself but this model is growing on me after you modify the outside a little, for me the best part about the new wrx is that the engine is amazing for tuning and huge hp figures with simple bolt ons!
Cant wait for adventures with this car.
They take to bolt on really well 🔥👀
huge fan of gc8's as well. but this wrx has me intrigued for sure.
The cladding is hard to stomach unless you get it in black or gray. I actually appreciate the contrast of it with my black ‘22.
In your opinion*
@@arealglitterb0y Oh fuck, I didn’t clarify that my comment was also an opinion! How silly of me to think my comment could’ve possibly implied my own opinion! Thank god for @arealglitterb0y for taking the time on his Monday evening to catch that for me! You must be really fun at parties and other social gatherings.
@@353darkesthour took a few seconds, no problem dude!
honestly sounds a lot better stock than I thought it would, cant wait to hear it with a new setup.
It's not terrible, just kinda muted 😅
Having my VA 2021 STI since its creation, and the 2.5RS 2 door coupe. my mom lost her ford focus hatch from a deer and a wreckless driver combo she got in the middle of, and wanted a manual. SHE GOT A WRX and in rally blue we LOVE it and makes for a great mother son combo for this subie fest midwest!
We have been enjoying it but we are going to start modifying it here shortly! infact my VA is nearly out of warrenty!!! and that means mods!
Moms WRX will be next! this is going to be really cool!
As someone who wants to drive my 2014 hatchback into the ground, seeing the line still healthy makes me happy
Wrx has always been based on an economy car. Not sure what you were expecting?
If that black trim was color matched to the paint it would look a lot better.
I've seen some look 👌 and others meh with the color match. I'm on the fence with it now lol
@@Smeedia i like the color match on the trim above wheels that i've seen.
Yasss Smeedia so excited for you ,can’t wait to see what kind of monster you will make it.
275-300hp at the wheels will put smiles on your face and leave dollars in your wallet (minus 93OCT😂)
I have a 08 LGT TA Tuned putting down 271 at the wheels going on 16 years same all stock minus a GS DP and EBCS
Great project car looking forward to your mods and improvements.
Great video, i do like the new WRX but i understand why some hate the wheel gauding. Ive owned various Volvo XC70's and XC90 's and have gotten use to wheel gauding. My favorite WRX within buying reach to me is the GR chassis hatch but love the 22b!!
Was waiting for this
🙏🙏🙏
Im waiting on my black 23. Cant wait to see what this platform can do. Anything over 500 will be a beast.
It was growing on me until hearing you. Now I'm back to "Crosstrek Sedan".
Yoo my mom bought me one of these! Already plasti dipped the wheels. I CANNOT wait to put 20 inch rims on it tho!! What you guys think about mirror tint? Ima be stuntin on the haters!!
Man am I in love with cars lol. It’s a complicated and difficult subject to learn, hoping to save enough money to buy my own this year ☝🏻🙏 just subscribed hope to learn more about the Subarus fam #GoodContent
Your driving along and the car starts beeping. You look down at the water temp, in big bold letters you see “DAMGER TO MANIFOLD!” Lol jk congrats on the new subie brother! Thank you so much for always pushing and sacrificing so we can all learn together. ❤️🎩 you’ve seriously helped every single one of us in some way 🤟🏻
Edmunds says the 2023 base weighs 3,297, whereas the Premium weighs 3,462, so the base version is already in a better position performance-wise than the Premium from the start (except for the wheels/tires), being 165 lbs. lighter.
The premium without roof is only about 30lbs heavier then the base
Love it. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. My ride is a ‘19 STi and my wife runs an ‘18 WRX. You rock, man.

I have one! Pretty excited to see what you do with yours dude!
Hell yeah 🙏🏻 welcome to the club
Idk but as a previous VA owner, the VB feels way more stiff on the roads and steering rack feels sharper
I came from a Tacoma and the steering was the biggest shock to me when I first drove the VB. All cars drive differently but the VB steering was the most dramatic change from anything else I had driven.
You just got a new follower! Can’t wait to see what you do to the ride!
If the car overheats the water temp gauge will display “Danger to Manifold” and shortly after your floor board will unbolt and sling out the back.
I look forward to the day this happens 😌
Unless you’re building a track car the Brembos aren’t needed. you’re just adding extra unnecessary unsprung weight for the sake of looks.
i honestly hate everything about this car but i am very interested to see your vision and what you do to fix it
I wish you luck on the STI swap, because when I went to put the BRZ mTrans into an H6 outback; I had to find out the hard way that the starter is on the wrongside requiring a more than insignificant amount of fabrication.
Letss goo i was waiting for someone to start a cracked project suuiii
the look is more modern and aggressive, for sure they will will have options in the future like Lexus to get rid of the black around the wheels
CONGRATES ON THE NEW WRX..
The reason why I’m subscribing!!!
Bout time brotha!
2 good thing 0.5 lifted ground clearance and fa24 intake and tune going 340hp maybe more. Lift all terrain tires get rally
I bought the premium with the Harmon kardon and the sun roof, you didn't need to go limited for that
Congrats🎉I’m excited to see how it turns out!

04 and 05 is the same thing
Cant wait to see how the VB turns out. Not a fan of them, but they can look good with a lot of work.
Gling to do what I can to make it look 🔥
Key words, "a lot of work". I hope Subaru just takes care of it from the factory, otherwise this is a dead car.
@@lildonnie7607 i think subaru and a lot of the japanese market will be dead before long. Germany and the US are putting out some nice looking cars, with a lot of power, with nice interiors, with a decent price tag. It’s going to be hard to beat.

Hey tanner! I got a buddy who needs someone who is willing to help tune his 2023 wrx. he has a few mods that are requiring a little experience. I know it's all new stuff to everyone but hey I'm located in Spanaway Graham area. We could really use your help as you're more experienced than I and my friend. Totally awesome purchase 😎
What is he using to tune with? Currently I think JB4 is the only option and I wouldent suggest it. If it were me I'd out it back to stock and hold off until til Cobb releases the AP for the 23
I can relay the message to him. He's planning on using his new laptop and tactrix cable. Its all new to me and i agree if the support isn't there then reverting back to stock is the best for the vehicle and the longevity of the the build.
On a side note id still love for your input on a few things i have planned for a 1991 SS ej2.2T
I had a 2017 WRX after upgraded to a 2019 STI love the car, traded in 2022 just before they announced that they were gonna discontinued. I dropped the ball should’ve kept it 🥹🥹
HAKWEYE IS BY FAR MY FAVORITE TOO!!
Looking forward to this build. Only complaint of the FA24 is that it didn’t get the port injection like BRZ. Fuel economy I get but it limits these motors so much
100% if they had Toyota D4S they could be wild!
Damn you throw a sti trans in that thing its guna be sick. Cant wait to see it come to fruition.
