Always a pleasure for a new video from Natalie. As always Natalie thank you, whether it be this, Rezero, or sub vs dub, you certainly give a calm not emotion filled commentary. Too many UA-camrs do the opposite and become very biased in whatever they are commenting on, you are one of the few who take an objective approach to the subject of whatever you’re talking about. On to this though, I’m not a LN reader, never have been, I’ve had and read stories that had the same sort of layout that LN do (words/illustrations). James and the Giant Peach comes to mind on that format. I enjoy the manga regardless of 100% accuracy or not. Don’t know if I’ll fully invest in MT, but I enjoy it all the same. Sorry for long gab, enjoy your stuff, keep being awesome.
Rostelina is Elinaliss Laplace freezes Rostenlina in a stone just as he goes to join the war at the end of which he gets split. Sealed in a crystal check, memories lost check, curse that means magic power builds up in her body check. Both names even have Elina check.
They probably are the same character, but that probably isn't a good thing. If they complete what Laplace wanted to do it would probably mean she will die. If they use her as a mana battery as she is then she will probably be fine. As it will probably just be the mana crystals she gets rid of. Good news is that there might be alternatives to expelling the mana crystals from the curse as I doubt Laplace was intending on using her like a sex doll. xD
Wow! I need to find this story. Plus I was always fascinated to see what French bread hair looks like, as Rudeus always mentioned it in his description of her. Also can anyone tell me if I’m misreading the various innuendos and offhand comments about Talhand? I feel that the bickering between him and Lise is more envy than anything else. Plus his lack of reaction to certain monsters make me think Talhand is gay. Am I crazy?
I really need to read these redundancy chapters. I’ve heard a few when I stumbled upon them read aloud on UA-cam. In fact, I think it must have been one if your I heard when I learned what happened to Aisha in the future. I think you mentioned you took it down.
No, I've never read out any Mushoku Tensei stuff - I used to have some readings of Re:Zero up but I took those down months ago and haven't done any WN readings for any series since then. Redundancy is good to read though - some of the stories are more interesting than others, but they range from cute SoL stuff to tying up the stories of a lot of characters, and they're all quite nice. The only really dramatic one is the deleted one. Jobless Oblige (the story about Sieg that I talked about in my other video) is good, too - it's similar to the tone of Redundancy but Sieg gets a full LN length story. And Old Dragon's Tale is just epic.
Orsted has the angry RBF that is actually nice. Unless of course he is angry. Just find it funny how the curse is like a trope. I wonder if the new MC will have to undergo trials and we find out about Elinalise. Also there should be a way to store it for long term use. Also so based on birth dates, many of the Greyrat children might be around 50 so maybe many will pass away in the sequel
The reason why you and many others love re zero and mushoku tensei is that the story and authors make us second guess everyone including our parents. Also an interesting video would be Subaru vs Hitogami since his RBD would be interesting against a being like Hitogami
Spoilers: Orsted basically has return by death anyway - only better (for his purposes of beating Hitogami) because he always goes back to the same save point and has like, 200 years to prepare for the battle. So the problems a being with that kind of ability creates for Hitogami are already baked in to the story.
@@NatalieXHunter Spoilers: true I’m aware of that skill actually for 200 year span repeated to 20000 years. Really wonder how prevalent these tropes in both stories have been around that time and if other less known novels used them or started using them. And I mean it’s also that Orsted has a long lifespan too. And I guess the sequel at the very least will reach around the 200 mark and lots of the old cast are old or dead by then. Also Akito and Riria seem like the sequel characters that are most important. Akito likely meets Lana
her JP va is litteraly Neptune and Kiara and the va is well know how to make "for research" voice acting. I also forgot if someone really want to marry her that guy need to store up more than enough juice.
@@NatalieXHunter No worries and thank you for letting me know!!! Also, thanks for the content on mushoku tensei, love the way you explain things!!🙏🙏🤌👌👍♥️
Great analysis. I can't see that Rifujin-senpai would go to the trouble of writing a character into Old Dragon's Tale that resembles Elinalise so strongly if there wasn't a link. There are so many characters and happenings linked to each other in MT, that it'd be fair to consider these linked as well. I expect the incubator resembled a magic crystal from the heart of a labyrinth as well! One thing that has played on my mind while reading the MT light novels is, Roxy, Sylphie and Elinalise will still be around, and in Roxy and Elinalise's cases, looking rather unchanged, by the time the human characters around Rudeus's age are dead. It will be painful for them to watch their loved ones grow old and die...
It's explained in detail in the video about the Mass Teleportation incident but basically Perugius thinks the mana gathering in the air might be someone trying to unseal Laplace, so he sends his familiar to investigate and kill anyone suspicious. Rudy, Ghislaine and Eris look very suspicious due to where they are and what they're doing.
Even with her longevity, if she is the same character in this story, she must have been frozen in aging. Lol now we are going to have 5 different ages for Elinalise like with Emilia in re zero in regards to age and birth and maturity etc lol 😂
Pretty much, but unlike Emilia, she's been unfrozen long enough that mental/emotional maturity and knowledge of the world around her isn't really a matter that would affect how she acts etc. Which is just as well because an Elinalise who thought you got pregnant by kissing would die very quickly!
@@NatalieXHunter I mean yes definitely lol. Still she seems to be 1000 or more years old? It’s just funny with the various times and ages still. She’s definitely at least above 100 years old in maturity
Well, Elinalise has been awake for 200 years since the crystal, so she should have the maturity of a 200 year old, but if you include the time she was in crystal she'd be thousands of years old, yes. I'm not actually sure what elves lifespans are in this setting, but it did say a century was no big deal to Rostelina, so I'm guessing it's in the thousands rather than like, 400 years or something.
@@NatalieXHunter ya seems like 1000s and she was several 100 years old before in the crystal but she’s only possibly aware of 200 years. And then she is a full elf too
I feel bad for her, because she have to have sex to men that she doesn't even love so that she can live, but she still smiles alot, that's why i respect cliff for loving her, she suffered the most 😢
spoiler... so this got me thinking. her curse sounds awfully similar to silent seven star's deal. were she had to drink tea for the excess mana. so could her issue be the same kind of curse and she just hasn't realized it? I doubt she had slept around cause of how much she hated that world
Not really - it's a pretty long series so I can't summarise everything that happens in the entire thing in one video... Not in any detail anyway. That's why I'm doing them by character and topic.
Damn, really sucks that Laplace is talked about soo much but he's going to be a non factor(in person) the entire time. I am at V17 and it's amazing but after alllll that hype and discussion, really sucks to know Rudy will have absolutely nothing to do with the sequel series. Also I really love the writing but I'm not sure how I'm going to feel about a story just about his kids. Yeah it'll be cool to see what happens and the characters who have long life spans but what a bummer to know our loved characters are mostly gone. But I really do enjoy Elinalise and can't wait to see her more in the Anime, especially like in V11-12 and beyond.
So, i dont know if its mentioned in the light novel or if its overlooked/left unanswered, but what does she do when she's pregnant? I'll assume gestation is more or less the same to a humans, and as you state in other videos that the people of this world dont have sex while a womans pregnant for fear of hurting the baby/superstition, what does she do? While we could argue she knows that nothing happens, or doesn't care/cares more about her wellbeing more than the forming child, its a bit harder to believe that her male "targets" would be so willing if its a commonplace belief in the world. It could be that she doesn't need her "medicine" while pregnant in that the extra magic gets used up in the creating of the new being, and maybe even they/ their lineage has a higher chance of having the "laplus gene" (hence why sylfie has it).
Her curse goes dormant when she's pregnant - that's shown in the story - but it doesn't explain what is happening to the magic. It doesn't really go into the biological details of her curse in general haha!
I also wanted to add a theory on why there might be animosity between her and Paul which loosely ties to my other question/theory. As i dont know how she excretes (while a fairly gross way of saying it, it is the most accurate word for the scenario) the magic crystals from her body, what if one night where she "sleeps" with paul they finish the deed but Paul is up for a round 2 and decides he wants to try something "different" and goes for the "exit only", where they get into a fight for obvious reasons (where she may be promiscuous, it doesn't mean she has no boundaries), but the reason i even bring this up is what if thats where she "produces" the stones and when Paul "enters" it disrupts the creation causing a feedback surge back to him imbuing his "swimmers" with extra magic, which later creates a "lapus gened" individual (Rrudius) who also isnt ment to exist that ALSO pulled a soul from another world into its body (i've read the manga up to Rudius "gets with" Silfie, and earlier Orsted says that Paul was only ment to have two girls so thats where i'm geting this idea from). Sorry for the wall of text's, I have a horrible problem of writing russian novels when I write a comment, theres more i want to bug about but best i dont so you have some time left in your day to read something actually interesting lol.
That's an interesting theory. Not right, but interesting ;) We actually do find out how Rudy ended up in the world, and it had nothing to do with Paul or Elinalise.
Why has not Orsted sparked any curiosity for her we don't know maybe if he tries to nail her she can charge him up faster when she receives his Orsted's dragon juice she then release that energy crystal back asap in but in creme pye form that will fill up his MP if not partially .
LOl nah, he wouldn't have to actually bang her himself for it to work, she produces magic crystals with any man, because the magic comes from her own body. He could use these as a power source, but nobody has thought of it so far in the story, given all she's ever done with them is sell them for money.
@@NatalieXHunter that's exactly what I'm getting at what if it was meant to be that way but instead of banging ordinary mortals what if there is a special effect it was Orsted to do it with her .
I don't think there would be - she didn't come out exactly like Laplace intended (it wasn't like he expected her to have to bang loads of dudes, he just didn't get to properly finish the process of transforming her). Still, it might be kinda interesting if they try it anyway! Only after Cliff dies, of course.
That we know of, yes, but she doesn't really tell people about it, so maybe there are other people like her that just keep it a secret to avoid being robbed or used by countries (like Miko often are).
I think its kinda implied that she was still a child when she was sealed in the crystal. Bc her curse only started Activating after she reached her first menstruation (as mentioned in mt) If I remembet it right Also while periguis probably found the library of laplace, ODT implied that the most books will get damaged pretty fast if you dont care for them. He probably just found fragmented Informations
I love Lise as a character but we really can't talk about her without getting into A LOT of suppositions and speculations about the past and future of the main plot. She is intertwined in the story on so many levels I'm just gonna unpack a single event here: Laplace named Perugius who gave a name to Sieghart who is the great grandson of Elinalise who was unfrozen by Perugius because she wanted to help Laplace but he got split in two personas one of which was the demon lord who was defeated by Perugius who now watches for signs of his return by way of Laplace factors which also reside within Sieghart. This is some class A telenovelas type drama here and I have some more speculations/connections with Orsted, Lucy and Clive. Does Orsted know anything about her? I can't remember if they ever talked or if he ever mentions anything about her. In the Oldeus timeline it's not confirmed what happened to Elinalise and Clive. Did they survive? Did Clive meet up with Lucy years later? If they are alive in Hitogami's perfect win, then what plans does he have with them? Are those plans still valid in our timeline? Lucy seems like the most ordinary of the Greyrat children, but what if she isn't? What if she received a double dose of the Laplace factor from her mother and father and it's just dormant? The demon lord might just be reborn out of a combination of Elinalise and Rudeus' descendants. That would make for a really dramatic final battle.
Great video Natalie! . .Spoiler queston Outside of the time that Elinalise travels to Begaritto with Rudy, did Elinalise cheat on Cliff? I have read the webnovel and to the best of my memory she is completely faithful to him, but just wanted to ask someone who might remember better than I do!
@@NatalieXHunter I thought so, because I remember there being mention of a telportation device so that she could visit him in Milis. I want to say they were Redundancy chapters where its mentioned?
Yeah, teleportation begins to be used more often by the time of Redundancy. Cliff plans to have her and Clive properly move to Millis at some point too, once he's able to kinda come out as married to an elf.
@@NatalieXHunter Ah thanks much for the replies! No idea why, but some people love to make up some random shit when it comes to Elinalise, misinforming others and whatnot - had me doubting myself and my memory of the novels, as stupid a that sounds. Elinalise is my fave character, and I thought I knew a lot about the character, so thanks for reaffirming me!
People debate this, but I'd say yes, if Zenith can, because her situation does work out as more a blessing than a curse in some situations (like when she was first married, so didn't have to worry about finding people to keep her, er, sorted out), given she's basically a golden goose. I mean other mikos we see have downsides to their abilities (like Zanoba accidentally killing people when he couldn't control his strength, and not being able to have sex because he'd hurt or injure his partner, or Zenith being in a dreamlike state and being unable to speak), so the line between a blessed and cursed person is kinda subjective, and if Zenith is said to have become a miko, it's not necessary for someone to have been born like it to count as one...
Wait so she constantly has miscarriages that transforms into precious stones or is way before that? or is that not explained in details, sounds a little creepy just by knowing too little. Edit: "Mana is stored in the balls, change my mind" this is the philosophy we get from Fate, RE: Zero and Mushoky Tensei
I think that the magic inside her just gets fertilized and turns into the crystals, rather than anything weird like that, because she can also get pregnant normally and has had children (she doesn't get pregnant as often as a human woman with that lifestyle would, but this is probably just because she's an elf). The mechanics of it aren't really discussed in that much detail though!
I uploaded this one at a weird time, lol - I finished making it and decided to upload it anyway rather than waiting until the time UA-cam tells me is best to upload tomorrow afternoon!
Warring minor spollers ahead for anime only and manga only Good video but I'd say she's already helping Orsted indirectly a lot the stuff cliff rudeus and Zanoba make would use magic stones so yes not directly helping but helping nun the less but her curse is a pain in the ass for other characters but did lead to 1 of scenes that made I'm not ashamed to admit cry and remind that 1 day everyone should have someone who loves them as much as Zenith and Paul love each other i want this series to be done to the end crunchyroll should have put money in this instead of high spice train wreck I'm looking forward to session 2 rudeus go's to college and getting to Rinia and Pursena eris future eh i want to say wife's but living bodypillows seems more on the mark and the end of this core can wait for the idiots on twitter terrible takes should be and you may get some content for a video out of it thanks again for actually doing research and reading the web/light novel unlike most anitubers who just read twitter

That's the story that is told in the prequel Old Dragon's Tale (it's a bit complicated for me to summarize in a comment, but I do have a series reading out the web novel if you're interested).
Interesting, another youtuber uploaded a video about this a couple of hours ago lol, but he is a Spanish speaking youtuber, this is the video, JjP5Q65ewow coincidences? hahaha
I didn't know that - I don't speak Spanish so I don't follow any Spanish language channels, but that's pretty random, I've not seen anyone else talk about it on English anitube!
We only really know about two of them (Laws and Clive), though we know there are many more. I talked about Clive in the Greyrat children video in connection with Lucy, and Laws, well, we don't know all that much about him - I'll probably cover him when I do a video about Sylphy.
Hardly - she's actually a pretty nice character as the story goes on and isn't played for comic relief that much in the later story (no more so than really any other character - most characters have a comical side to them in this series). Plus this back story could become really important in terms of Orsted in the sequel. There actually isn't any graphic sexual content in the novels, anyway - it's all talked about but the actual sex scenes are never described in detail, so they're always there because they affect the story rather than because the series is trying to have erotic stuff in it.

I’m curious if there’s a twist where Laplace gets reborn in Roxy’s line instead so that blue hair becomes hated since he’s reincarnated as a Migurd so that would cause additional problems for Lana as a twist even if Laplace isn’t actually a bad character
Nah, Perugius said he'll definitely be a male with green hair. Stop trying to make everything being about Lara a thing ;)
@@NatalieXHunter ok fine I’ll make everything about Sieghart then jk. I guess the sequel all hinges on the final volume too

Rly like your mushoku covers but personally would love to see you cover tensura
Thanks, but I am not especially into Tensura (I like it fine, just not enough to go deep into the source material and stuff), so I probably won't be covering it...
Good news is that there might be alternatives to expelling the mana crystals from the curse as I doubt Laplace was intending on using her like a sex doll. xD
Laplase modified the magic stone disease to give Orstead all the Mana to use quickly
Am I crazy?
You're not misreading things - it isn't confirmed until Redundancy where he gets his own story, but yeah, he's gay.
His sexuality is pretty much implied in vol 12. It was realy obvious.
Spoiler:
Fuck Gisu
The reason why you and many others love re zero and mushoku tensei is that the story and authors make us second guess everyone including our parents. Also an interesting video would be Subaru vs Hitogami since his RBD would be interesting against a being like Hitogami
Spoilers:
Orsted basically has return by death anyway - only better (for his purposes of beating Hitogami) because he always goes back to the same save point and has like, 200 years to prepare for the battle. So the problems a being with that kind of ability creates for Hitogami are already baked in to the story.

Spoilers:
true I’m aware of that skill actually for 200 year span repeated to 20000 years.
*Elinalise:* "Laplace-sama! As a demonstration of my devotion to you, I volunteer to help Orsted-sama!"
*Laplace:* "It's PIMP time, baby!"
Hitogami seems kinda similar to Lorkhan from the TES series.
Alinelise's story also tells us what Zeniths illness is. They have the same curse.
She’s just foxy roxy’s mentor for the bedroom

I also forgot if someone really want to marry her that guy need to store up more than enough juice.
Ah that is definitely why Orsted is very upset. This reminds me of the echidna experiment. Elinalise must be older than we think
Tons of amazing songs being played in this video!! Anyone know the names for them? 🙏🙏🙏
They're all from Streambeats by Harris Heller but I don't remember which tracks appear in this video.
@@NatalieXHunter No worries and thank you for letting me know!!! Also, thanks for the content on mushoku tensei, love the way you explain things!!🙏🙏🤌👌👍♥️
I volunteer to help Elinalise keep her condition in place. *Kappa Face*
I love your accent!
Thank you!
I should read Old Dragons Tale.
I'll watch this when I finish Old Dragon's Tale.
I like fishnets
Ah yes, the defective battery.
A man day keeps the curse at bay
Why does perugious sent his assasin to kill rudious before the teleportation.
@@NatalieXHunter it's interesting thanks.
And then she is a full elf too
What if the curse isn't a curse? I mean, from how it's described, the condition sounds like something to do with the core being. I dunno
I feel bad for her, because she have to have sex to men that she doesn't even love so that she can live, but she still smiles alot, that's why i respect cliff for loving her, she suffered the most 😢
Got actual chills when I found out her real name.
spoiler...
so this got me thinking. her curse sounds awfully similar to silent seven star's deal. were she had to drink tea for the excess mana. so could her issue be the same kind of curse and she just hasn't realized it? I doubt she had slept around cause of how much she hated that world
Any way you can do a full on spoiler video? Just to get the full timeline maybe ?
Not really - it's a pretty long series so I can't summarise everything that happens in the entire thing in one video... Not in any detail anyway. That's why I'm doing them by character and topic.
@@NatalieXHunter do I hear a multivideo series coming on ? ;33
A video about big meanie Hitogami?
LOL I will definitely make one at some point about the big meanie. Poor Laplace!
هل هدا يعني أنها توفر المانا الأورستد
Wait a minute there, future sequel?
Is she the only one that makes magic stones?
That we know of, yes, but she doesn't really tell people about it, so maybe there are other people like her that just keep it a secret to avoid being robbed or used by countries (like Miko often are).
I really haven't been able to take anything say says serious after what happened in vol 12.
I think its kinda implied that she was still a child when she was sealed in the crystal. Bc her curse only started Activating after she reached her first menstruation (as mentioned in mt)
If I remembet it right
Also while periguis probably found the library of laplace, ODT implied that the most books will get damaged pretty fast if you dont care for them. He probably just found fragmented Informations
Author:create's ellinalise's curse
The whole weeb community:a i see so your a man of culture aswell
In the Oldeus timeline Cliff died and she simply left never to be seen again
Spoilersss!!!
Oh shizzle that explains where she got the magic stone for Rudy in the labyrinth, even though Rudy didn't really need it😅

Outside of the time that Elinalise travels to Begaritto with Rudy, did Elinalise cheat on Cliff? I have read the webnovel and to the best of my memory she is completely faithful to him, but just wanted to ask someone who might remember better than I do!
She seems to be faithful to him - when he moves to Milis she visits him often enough that the magic pantsu keep the curse at bay.
Can Elinalise be considered to be a miko?
@NatalieXHunter hope it's not like passing kidney stone 😬

So I’m going to be that guy and say I’m surprised there’s no rule 34 with her releasing a crystal for some reason even though there seems to be one for HGS. Also UB genre wouldn’t seem so bad to her and for her or with her lol. It would be cool if there was ever a film focusing on her life from the curse origins to when she started her escapades to her finality with Cliff. I assume that when a Cliff passes away, she won’t need to find another husband. Although hopefully the curse is cured once all antagonists are settled

You say that but we don't put those in for fun - you should see how much people complain if you don't worry about it too much...
Her sex scene was hilarious
not cool :( that's very unfortunate tbh
Sounds like a porn script to me. Is just an added cheap and plain backstory to a gag character for yet more fetishes and sexual content in the story.
