Considering the whole immortality thing, it makes a lot of sense that they really don't have a care in the world compared to humans. It also makes sense for them to not be involved in Orsted's "crusade" against hitogami.
Spoiler Hitogami was one of the rare occasion where they got fucked a lot by the situation, so it makes sense she doesn't want to have anything to do with him
Chichirika is absolutely awesome, I love characters like her, doesn't have a care in the world, can probably kill you if she's serious, is shown just enough for some plot development and is freaking hilarious.
Best character I have seen in a couple of years. Her personality is HUGE. Me and my girlfriend have a huge poster of her on our bedroom wall. One of those things you truly don't understand till you see it. My niece asked my why we had a Lolli on our wall. Them had to tie her up and force her to watch the entire anime in one sitting.

Kishirika is also deceptively strong for her size. Kid rudeus noted that he COULD NOT escape her grasp. Later , an adult, He still couldn't do it, and without spoling too many details, he's not exactly a pushover physically. they borderline use her like the dragon balls in the novel. The fact that there aren't a ton of people with demon eyes walking around means either very few people help her or she's more selective than we give her credit for.
Actually, demon eyes aren't that rare, we see several characters who have them and considering the story takes place across the entire world, it wouldn't be likely to see more than a couple of people with them if they were as rare as say, Mikos. Though, there are other ways of getting demon eyes, and some people are even just randomly born with them, so there isn't a Kishirika encounter behind every demon eye. I don't think she is selective, more just, it's a big world, she doesn't need to eat very often, and of course, there are a lot of other beggars who would look indistinguishable to a passerby, so it's not like people are jumping at the chance to help her if they don't know about her.
@@NatalieXHunter With the way Rudy easily tracks her down later and bribes her with doughnuts, its odd so few characters introduced on the demon continent have eyes from her. it takes so little to get something out of her you'd think every other demon would be have been rewarded from common curtsey . Distributing them was how she built one of her armies if I Remember correctly. I know demon eyes aren't as rare as mikos, but they're still uncommon enough that someone would want to curry favor with a walking dispenser.
@@resengan123 Demon eyes are hard to master: Rudeus made it look easy (took him one week still) but you can live your entire life and still not know how to use it(like ghyslaine, or that one superd ruijerd knew)
Rudeus easily tracks her down, sure, but Rudeus has a lot more resources at his disposal by that point when it comes to getting around and finding people than the average adventurer on the demon continent who might fancy having a demon eye. But yeah, they are also hard to use, which is why nearly everyone else we see with one wears an eyepatch, and most people would never be able to handle having both eyes like that (I don't think it's possible for people other than Kishirika to have more than one in a given eye). I think really the author just wanted to strike a balance between them being special enough to be cool and them being super rare things that it would be a bit Mary Sue for Rudeus to have early in the story, and by having Kishirika give them out on a bit of a whim canonically it makes it flexible to give them to whatever characters he wants to have them without it always having to have some dramatic story behind it. We don't even know how a lot of characters got their demon eyes, but because we know the stories behind her helping Rudy and Roxy are fairly mundane, it never feels like some important encounter we need to wonder about. That can be helpful with this kind of worldbuilding where you want to feel like there are countless things going on in all of these people's lives that aren't elaborated on.

I'm pretty sure she's not a direct member of the immortal race. In one of the latest volumes we get the direct history of badigadi and he specifically stated that he didn't know she could resurrect at the time. It is highly implied that the baby in the demon world at the end of dragons tale is Kishirika making her a half God. Anyway point being, Kishirikas mechanism of resurrection is completely unknown at the moment. She doesn't do the amiba like resurrection of the other immortal demon races.

I think her intended encounter was probably how the manga portrays her. She felt too silly in the anime even when she was not supposed to be at times. The manga gave her accurate depictions of how she should act during her actions. Also because the art style is cuter in the manga it also makes her a little cuter than being a loony toon. Better balance of what she's supposed to be. Since her stabbing Rudy's eye out had to be one of those oh shit moments. It wasn't in the anime though just because of never taking anything in the entire anime all that seriously to begin with. Demons in general are pretty convenient. They are all powerful because they live so long. So they usually are the ones who teach the lesser lived races how to attain power in the most efficient way so they can actually use that power in their lifetime. Elves fill this role too in some cases. It's not really a problem that Rudy gains all of this power compared to other stories though because Rudy is not particularly strong in his world compared to other isekai protags. A lot of them are the absolute strongest with absolutely no equal, but are written as more slice of life so that it's more of a fun experience. Rudy still might be like in the top 10 strongest in his world, but he definitely isn't the strongest. Which makes the story more exciting overall. You never know when he could meet someone at Orsted's power again and how he might do in that situation again.

@@YuyuHakurei as a combat mage there's only two living person who can match him, Orsted being one of them(not that he really fight magically) As a fighter most people aren't a threat to him, distance or not,but people above saint get more troublesome (and his frequency in meeting them is way higher than he would like) so those fights are toss ups(curse being a glass canon

There’s many characters such as and saint+ ranked swordsman, pretty much all the seven great powers, demon lords, etc that are able to beat him. They compare his amount of mana to Laplace that doesn’t mean he is anywhere near as strong as him.
I found the demon eye "gift" to Rudeus quite interesting. Definitely not a "here's a super power for no particular reason" it was written to make more sense because the recipient of the gift must have established a skill to make such a gift a bonus, not a free pass without effort. If you were in a sword fight and saw in advance your opponent was going to thrust in a certain manner towards your chest, with previous sword abilities you've acquired, you can counter the blow. With no previous skill or sword abilities, doesn't matter if you know it's coming, your still going to die.
One thing I thought was strange in the Anime was her eyes presented as a slot machine. I figured her eyes were like a D12 docahedron, to fit into the whole dice themes of the six faced world. She is chaos and her little dice rolls change the world. I'm sure Hitogami didn't know which eye she'd give Rudeus, and was experimenting to see how the first roll turned out. If Rudeus got the long distance one, holy smokes would Rudy have have found Roxy instantly. Which Hitogami 100% did not want.
Well, he might not have, given he'd have had to have been actively looking for her, and he thought she was in the Shirone kingdom so may not have tried to locate her. No doubt he'd have tried to check up on her with it if he had it working, but he probably wouldn't have even had enough of a reason to master that demon eye until he found Paul and realized everyone else was missing. Demon eyes generally take a long time to get used to and be able to use, so by the time he'd gotten able to use it he'd probably have missed the chance to meet up with Roxy in Wind Port anyway... Doesn't seem like too much of a gamble. I also don't think Kishirika was that random that Hitogami wouldn't have been able to see which eye she'd recommend to Rudy.
Her Husband is pretty respectful towards not destroying and splitting her wife in 2 before she grew enough to handle it. Otherwise, she'll have to redo her regrowth. Not gonna stop me from drawing it thou.
Personally, I'd just stick with normal eyes, given Rudeuse's blurry vision and how even Gislaine hides her eye. If I were to choose one, it wouldn't be the future one, since that's only good for combat and avoiding traps and disasters and I'd try to stay out of trouble a lot more than Rudeus does. The long range eye, the magic sight eye and the see-through eye are all decent, I guess.
The magic-sight eye is a serious problem eye, ALL owners of this eye cover it up. Ghislane has this eye. Likewise, the see-through eye means you can't choose who you get to see naked.
@@clintcarpentier2424 That said, maybe the magic one would be useful for magic experiments. The see-through might be useful for detecting cracks and defects in manufactured goods and constructions. Oh and as for Rudeuse's experiments, I'd try flying, but not in such a reckless way. I'd tie a handkerchief to an apple and use wind magic to create enough uplift to float it, then see about scaling it up to lift a barrel, before trying to fly with basically a powered hand glider, the Last Air Bender style. Maybe try hot air blimps too.
If you're a Western Fantasy fan, check out the existential horror of Gold Allomancy eyes from Mistborn. I get to watch an alternate version of myself handling this situation with no dialogue. No you're not seeing the future, you're seeing a version of yourself that never dated that motorcycle guy or smoked weed. Congrats your super power power is watching the version of you that always ate their veggies and Wheaties handle the situation. And trying to figure out if your six month stint smoking cigarettes is gonna make you not run up the stairs as quickly as they needed to.
Doing a rewatch and it strikes me when I get to episode 12 that Hitogami tells Rudeus to meet Kishirika... and then the next morning Rudeus is not with Eris and Ruijerd when Roxy spies on them sparring.
Yes, I did - I really liked it too, but I haven't read the novels yet so I didn't make any videos about it because I didn't think I really had anything to say that wasn't obvious from watching it haha! I also think Faraway Paladin is pretty good - was a great season for isekai!
I really like KonoSuba as well though lol! But World's Finest Assassin wasn't really a comedy like that though, it has a decent story and the backstory of the MC is really unique for this kind of story.
One thing that makes me think Laplace will be born into the Greyrats family tree is that Laplace's demon is one that could theoretically "calculate" the future, sort of how the Rudeus' eye work.
I mean, the demon eyes aren't passed on as a genetic trait, and neither are the things related to the Laplace factor, so Rudy's descendants don't have his demon eye, and would only have some of his other Laplace-like traits like the huge mana capacity and inability to wear touki, if they also had the Laplace factor. While it's entirely possible that Laplace could be reincarnated into Rudeus line, it obviously isn't a given, because Laplace gets reincarnated in other loops where Rudy doesn't exist. That doesn't mean it *won't* be in Rudeus' family either, because we see with the chosen hero of the sacred beast that this is Lara in this loop, but is a different person in other loops.

You can agree that there are a lot of traits of laplace that are unwillingly but surely being gathered into the Greyrats treeline. It may be just a ruse to have us wonder and blindsight us later in the sequels, or it might be hints left to be expanded upon. I mean, you are correct in saying that the eye isnt passed down genetically. But it isnt written anywere that it'll die with Rudeus.
Yes - I uploaded chapters 1 & 2 yesterday, I'm recording 3 & 4 now - I'll keep going for the whole of Old Dragon's Tale then depending how well the readings do I'll consider maybe doing some others like Jobless Oblige or some Redundancy chapters.
I wouldn't mind heterochromia in exchange for a useful ability, but I can't think of any demon eye I'd want. If it was about mind reading, teleportation, or regeneration, I'd endure the pain...

Can we get a video on the different races in detail? Just so many questions. So the human race is self explanatory mostly. Except magic and the whole magic sickness thing that used to happen. But the other races tend to get confusing. Like how there's the beast race that apparently separated and evolved into the demon race or are considered demons. How long do they normally live? Then there's the immortal demon race, elves, dwarves, how long do they live. How many of the dragon race are there, how long do they live. Kishirika is always mentioned to be reborn so is someone doing this on purpose like a summoning or is it simply because she dies she will always come back? SO MANY QUESTIONS!😭
Most of them just come from the different worlds. The beast race and a lot of the races that live in the great forest came from one foresty world, the ocean races came from the ocean world, the demon races from the demon world, the dragon race from the dragon world, and then there's the heaven world which we never really hear much about because the race from there live on a continent Rudeus never visits in the WN (apparently the heaven continent is expanded on in the LNs, but the English translations are far behind the volumes where that would happen). When all of those worlds ended (as in Old Dragon's Tale), the survivors went to the human world and established themselves there in various places as new races in the human world. Once all of those races from 5 other worlds have been mixing together in one world for thousands of years, naturally their cultures have changed and they have also mixed in with humans and with each other, so really it's kinda like, there's a whole bunch of different people.
@@NatalieXHunter That explains the history, but I'm talking about Lore stats. Kind of like what the elder scrolls has. Like how the high elves can live for 5k to 10K years, They have a low rate of reproduction, the highest mana pools, very experienced in magic while the dark elves can live for around 3k to 5K years (outside of being murdered to death and war), have an affinity for fire magic, have slightly faster rates of reproduction and stuff like that. It really feels like jobless reincarnation has very detailed lore regarding the different races that came from the six faced worlds and not only is the history interesting but the lore behind what each race can do and their limitations is fascinating. Like, since Roxy is of the demon race, is she immortal? Stuff like that. Definitely something I'd like to know more of.
But yeah, is Kishirika being purposefully resurrected by someone every time she dies? Like someone summoning her or doing some sort of Resurrection ritual? Or is it because she's an "immortal demon" from the original demon world that she will always come back no matter what? Like basically when she dies it's more or less like taking a nap until she wakes up?
Hmmmm, I'm not sure the answers to all of those questions can be taken from the text, given although there's a lot of worldbuilding, it's done within the narrative so there isn't necessarily what you'd need to make those kinds of profiles for each race, even if the author may have actually decided all of those details, iykwim. Roxy and her tribe aren't immortal though - there are lots of demon races (like the Migurd and of course the Superd), and they seem to be long lived, but not immortal like the demon kings. If they were then there wouldn't be the concern Ruijerd has that his tribe may have died out and he might be the only Superd left.
@@android7764 The manga shows one being resurrected. Though I don't think they outright die it does imply that if they would die then they would come back on their own over time. I'm pretty sure it's also implied that they resurrect from where they last died. Which is the cause of Kishirika's death chains being kinda high. She just starves over and over again from not being very survival smart or meeting anyone for long periods of time. The appearance in the anime is probably as young as her immortality will let her be.
I was thinking about finally doing Laplace next, but I'm not sure, given I'm also doing the Old Dragon's Tale readings that might be too much Laplace all in one go... I also want to do videos for Ruijerd, Ariel, and Cliff in the near future.
Nono Rudeus was given the eye cause Hitogami wanted to trick him into cooperation. Whoever doesnt understand this plot point cant realistically keep up with the plot since there are many layers at play.

It feels like she'd be better suited for almost an entirely different show like maybe the same world that holds the Seven Deadly Sins series, not really a RPG fantasy style world, but she'd fit right in, and be abit more relevant there than here in Mushoku Tenshsei. [Edit]: Maybe... *_just maybe_* she'd fit in Konosuba's Universe better. [2nd Edit]: I just realized her "revival via regression" reminds me an awful lot of Nel from Bleach. At least the first time Nel regressed from the loss in her battle with Nnoitora from which he truly thought was enough power to kill her.
Well, Mushoku Tensei is actually a prequel to another story that she may be more relevant in. Not sure how far the author is into writing the story of the other reincarnations (Nanahoshi and her missing..... Beau? The protagonist of the sequel)
she's like one of those random characters you'd meet during a dnd campaign which you help in a truly mundaine way, just for your warrior friend to recieve the Eye of Stinky in return
I'm not really sure what to think of Kishirika, I generally dislike ditsy, energetic characters as I find them to be a particular kind of annoying that grinds my gears especially. Despite that, I find her to a rather unique character that feels fairly fun, I also like her little quirk of just giving away helpful abilities for like 10 bucks and a few minutes of your time. She's gotta run out of eyes eventually though, right?
It seems like normally they just don't really pay attention to it as a thing. Kinda like if you had infinite money, you'd just stop thinking about it as part of life. When any resource becomes irrelevant people don't notice it anymore. So, they are often late, by a loooong time!
Wow, Nat! I had never really noticed all of these characteristics about the Immortal tribe. Are you sure Kishirika belongs to the tribe? I always thought they all looked like Badi, even though Atofe doesn't.
There is speculation that she isn't, but all of the stuff I said still applies to her anyway - she was born in the demon world and she ressurects, so she seems to be immortal, and she generally is associated with the demon king characters.
Ah Badigadi doesn’t want to catch a case. Long lived species do view time differently and mature differently regardless of elves or demons or any other species. Meeting only every so often and being so individualistic seems to be the case for the Migurd and many long lived races. And I mean the convenient characters are doing things for themselves and not necessarily for others
Also if you live 100s of years, you can’t live with one or 2 people for that long since it’s too long so you need to move around and keep distance lol. Finally getting to see some of the videos
Yeah, I like that Rudeus got the eye of foresight and all it did him is help him beat up Eris then Paul. I guess this is a spoiler free video so I will put a spoiler warning for talking about Kishirika. *Spoilers below* I can't believe you did my girl like this, calling her stupid (╥_╥) But in all seriousness, she isn't dumb, she is smart enough to read the intend of even Moore. She had the wisdom to order all demon lords to grow Sokasu gras. She realized that she and Badigadi were manipulated by you-know-who in the second demon-human war. The fact that she is captured or starving most of the time is just a facade, or more like a game probably. Kishirika is very strong, even in her diminutive form she is above saint level in brute strength. While Rudeus was wearing mk2 she overpowerd him with one arm and did magic eye surgery with the other. Kishirika is obviously inhuman and most likely insanely strong at her peak. So why is she the way that she is? Badi mentioned offhandedly that she cannot leave the demon continent, this was said with somewhat finality so I suspect that a higher power that herself 'sealed' Kishirika to be stranded there (for now at least). She is basically a big fish in a small pond and I guess immortal life gets boring so she sets personal rules for herself to survive by rallying on charity and then gifting generous people with a demon eye. Finally I don't actually think that she is an immortal demon race. For one she doesn't look like any of the immortal demons we know. An secondly there is this paragraph from the WN: > "Indeed. Tenacity is the saving grace for immortal demons, so has it," Kishirika said, glancing at Atofe. Atofe was making a confident expression, but I think that it probably wasn't a compliment. Besides hinting that she isn't the same race Kishirika is obviously sarcastic here, which might be the lowest form of wit, but it's still wit. Sure she does reincarnate, but that might be her personal power. I'm not sure what race she is, I don't think Rifujin has actually thought it through himself. Let's be honest, he wrote these novels very quickly and there are a lot of missing details... like where do elves come from? Or the battle god language? Sorry, I'm getting sidetracked.
For me Kishirika is a funny side character so far and as u sad she is kinda always in trouble (im thinking of vol14 in the LN XD") I wonder if she plays a bigger role down the road otherwise she is just a funny side chara
Well, Mushoku Tensei itself is supposed to be but a prequel to a different story. Just like Laplace's story before it, the next story in the chronology is gonna about someone we already met in the anime.
In retrospect, Hitogami made him pay quite the hefty price for that demon eye (Light Spoilers): 1° He didn't get to meet up with Roxy, because he spent that week holed up in his room. 2° He unknowingly worsened Eris's inferiority complex by beating her into the ground. (This happens in some shape or form every time he follows his advice during their travels) 3° He got tricked into helping a massive operation against the beastfolk, who are protectors of the sacred beast and allies of the hero. If you read the WN, you can tell all of those were some pretty big wins for Hitogami.
In the end he rectified all those mistakes himself or they actually improved the lives of those effected. In some cases meeting Roxy could have ruined his entire life in that situation because not meeting her here is actually a reason behind a lot of actions he makes in the future. Not meeting her gives him inspiration to improve himself just like beating Eris gives her inspiration to improve herself. Had they met she definitely woulda spent it telling Rudy how amazing he is which probably would have stunted his magic growth in the future. Since the fear of her disapproval is the reason he gets so good at it. In the point of view of this story Hitogami's goals being achieved don't matter to the viewer as much either. Since you are here for Rudy, Eris, Roxy, Sylphy, and everyone around them anyway. So in the end it's a matter of perspective. Do you care more about the main character or about the rest of the world? =3
@@YuyuHakurei Well, I mainly wanted to say that the demon eye looks like a random power up at first, but it actually was a sweet poison of sorts. On the Roxy theory. I think it's pretty heavily implied that whenever she and Rudeus met again, they ended happily together and giving birth to Lara. That was precisely what the problem was for hitogami. He couldn't drive a wedge between them like he did with Eris or Sylphy. In the end, he killed her with an incurable disease in the Oldeus timeline.
Basically, used to be a threat, now she gives out cool eyes, and is the find my phone app.

I think really the author just wanted to strike a balance between them being special enough to be cool and them being super rare things that it would be a bit Mary Sue for Rudeus to have early in the story, and by having Kishirika give them out on a bit of a whim canonically it makes it flexible to give them to whatever characters he wants to have them without it always having to have some dramatic story behind it. We don't even know how a lot of characters got their demon eyes, but because we know the stories behind her helping Rudy and Roxy are fairly mundane, it never feels like some important encounter we need to wonder about. That can be helpful with this kind of worldbuilding where you want to feel like there are countless things going on in all of these people's lives that aren't elaborated on.

I'm pretty sure she's not a direct member of the immortal race. In one of the latest volumes we get the direct history of badigadi and he specifically stated that he didn't know she could resurrect at the time. It is highly implied that the baby in the demon world at the end of dragons tale is Kishirika making her a half God.
Anyway point being, Kishirikas mechanism of resurrection is completely unknown at the moment. She doesn't do the amiba like resurrection of the other immortal demon races.

I think her intended encounter was probably how the manga portrays her. She felt too silly in the anime even when she was not supposed to be at times. The manga gave her accurate depictions of how she should act during her actions. Also because the art style is cuter in the manga it also makes her a little cuter than being a loony toon. Better balance of what she's supposed to be. Since her stabbing Rudy's eye out had to be one of those oh shit moments. It wasn't in the anime though just because of never taking anything in the entire anime all that seriously to begin with.
Demons in general are pretty convenient. They are all powerful because they live so long. So they usually are the ones who teach the lesser lived races how to attain power in the most efficient way so they can actually use that power in their lifetime. Elves fill this role too in some cases. It's not really a problem that Rudy gains all of this power compared to other stories though because Rudy is not particularly strong in his world compared to other isekai protags. A lot of them are the absolute strongest with absolutely no equal, but are written as more slice of life so that it's more of a fun experience. Rudy still might be like in the top 10 strongest in his world, but he definitely isn't the strongest. Which makes the story more exciting overall. You never know when he could meet someone at Orsted's power again and how he might do in that situation again.

As a fighter most people aren't a threat to him, distance or not,but people above saint get more troublesome (and his frequency in meeting them is way higher than he would like) so those fights are toss ups(curse being a glass canon
@@YuyuHakurei he has mana comparable to Laplace, however he doesn’t have the same combat effectiveness, magic knowledge and power output Laplace has. There’s many characters such as and saint+ ranked swordsman, pretty much all the seven great powers, demon lords, etc that are able to beat him. They compare his amount of mana to Laplace that doesn’t mean he is anywhere near as strong as him.
I found the demon eye "gift" to Rudeus quite interesting. Definitely not a "here's a super power for no particular reason" it was written to make more sense because the recipient of the gift must have established a skill to make such a gift a bonus, not a free pass without effort. If you were in a sword fight and saw in advance your opponent was going to thrust in a certain manner towards your chest, with previous sword abilities you've acquired, you can counter the blow. With no previous skill or sword abilities, doesn't matter if you know it's coming, your still going to die.

One thing I thought was strange in the Anime was her eyes presented as a slot machine. I figured her eyes were like a D12 docahedron, to fit into the whole dice themes of the six faced world.
She is chaos and her little dice rolls change the world. I'm sure Hitogami didn't know which eye she'd give Rudeus, and was experimenting to see how the first roll turned out.
If Rudeus got the long distance one, holy smokes would Rudy have have found Roxy instantly. Which Hitogami 100% did not want.
Well, he might not have, given he'd have had to have been actively looking for her, and he thought she was in the Shirone kingdom so may not have tried to locate her. No doubt he'd have tried to check up on her with it if he had it working, but he probably wouldn't have even had enough of a reason to master that demon eye until he found Paul and realized everyone else was missing. Demon eyes generally take a long time to get used to and be able to use, so by the time he'd gotten able to use it he'd probably have missed the chance to meet up with Roxy in Wind Port anyway... Doesn't seem like too much of a gamble. I also don't think Kishirika was that random that Hitogami wouldn't have been able to see which eye she'd recommend to Rudy.

Personally, I'd just stick with normal eyes, given Rudeuse's blurry vision and how even Gislaine hides her eye.
If I were to choose one, it wouldn't be the future one, since that's only good for combat and avoiding traps and disasters and I'd try to stay out of trouble a lot more than Rudeus does.
The long range eye, the magic sight eye and the see-through eye are all decent, I guess.
The magic-sight eye is a serious problem eye, ALL owners of this eye cover it up. Ghislane has this eye.
Likewise, the see-through eye means you can't choose who you get to see naked.

The see-through might be useful for detecting cracks and defects in manufactured goods and constructions.
Oh and as for Rudeuse's experiments, I'd try flying, but not in such a reckless way. I'd tie a handkerchief to an apple and use wind magic to create enough uplift to float it, then see about scaling it up to lift a barrel, before trying to fly with basically a powered hand glider, the Last Air Bender style. Maybe try hot air blimps too.

I really like KonoSuba as well though lol! But World's Finest Assassin wasn't really a comedy like that though, it has a decent story and the backstory of the MC is really unique for this kind of story.

One thing that makes me think Laplace will be born into the Greyrats family tree is that Laplace's demon is one that could theoretically "calculate" the future, sort of how the Rudeus' eye work.
Ofc that is the canon myth of laplace, but usually writers do not use myth-heavy names if they dont plan on using this in the future.

I mean, the demon eyes aren't passed on as a genetic trait, and neither are the things related to the Laplace factor, so Rudy's descendants don't have his demon eye, and would only have some of his other Laplace-like traits like the huge mana capacity and inability to wear touki, if they also had the Laplace factor. While it's entirely possible that Laplace could be reincarnated into Rudeus line, it obviously isn't a given, because Laplace gets reincarnated in other loops where Rudy doesn't exist. That doesn't mean it *won't* be in Rudeus' family either, because we see with the chosen hero of the sacred beast that this is Lara in this loop, but is a different person in other loops.

You can agree that there are a lot of traits of laplace that are unwillingly but surely being gathered into the Greyrats treeline. It may be just a ruse to have us wonder and blindsight us later in the sequels, or it might be hints left to be expanded upon. I mean, you are correct in saying that the eye isnt passed down genetically. But it isnt written anywere that it'll die with Rudeus.

Can we get a video on the different races in detail? Just so many questions.
So the human race is self explanatory mostly. Except magic and the whole magic sickness thing that used to happen. But the other races tend to get confusing. Like how there's the beast race that apparently separated and evolved into the demon race or are considered demons. How long do they normally live? Then there's the immortal demon race, elves, dwarves, how long do they live. How many of the dragon race are there, how long do they live. Kishirika is always mentioned to be reborn so is someone doing this on purpose like a summoning or is it simply because she dies she will always come back? SO MANY QUESTIONS!😭
Most of them just come from the different worlds. The beast race and a lot of the races that live in the great forest came from one foresty world, the ocean races came from the ocean world, the demon races from the demon world, the dragon race from the dragon world, and then there's the heaven world which we never really hear much about because the race from there live on a continent Rudeus never visits in the WN (apparently the heaven continent is expanded on in the LNs, but the English translations are far behind the volumes where that would happen). When all of those worlds ended (as in Old Dragon's Tale), the survivors went to the human world and established themselves there in various places as new races in the human world. Once all of those races from 5 other worlds have been mixing together in one world for thousands of years, naturally their cultures have changed and they have also mixed in with humans and with each other, so really it's kinda like, there's a whole bunch of different people.
@@NatalieXHunter That explains the history, but I'm talking about Lore stats. Kind of like what the elder scrolls has. Like how the high elves can live for 5k to 10K years, They have a low rate of reproduction, the highest mana pools, very experienced in magic while the dark elves can live for around 3k to 5K years (outside of being murdered to death and war), have an affinity for fire magic, have slightly faster rates of reproduction and stuff like that.
It really feels like jobless reincarnation has very detailed lore regarding the different races that came from the six faced worlds and not only is the history interesting but the lore behind what each race can do and their limitations is fascinating.
Like, since Roxy is of the demon race, is she immortal? Stuff like that.
Definitely something I'd like to know more of.
But yeah, is Kishirika being purposefully resurrected by someone every time she dies? Like someone summoning her or doing some sort of Resurrection ritual? Or is it because she's an "immortal demon" from the original demon world that she will always come back no matter what?
Like basically when she dies it's more or less like taking a nap until she wakes up?
Hmmmm, I'm not sure the answers to all of those questions can be taken from the text, given although there's a lot of worldbuilding, it's done within the narrative so there isn't necessarily what you'd need to make those kinds of profiles for each race, even if the author may have actually decided all of those details, iykwim. Roxy and her tribe aren't immortal though - there are lots of demon races (like the Migurd and of course the Superd), and they seem to be long lived, but not immortal like the demon kings. If they were then there wouldn't be the concern Ruijerd has that his tribe may have died out and he might be the only Superd left.
@@android7764 The manga shows one being resurrected. Though I don't think they outright die it does imply that if they would die then they would come back on their own over time. I'm pretty sure it's also implied that they resurrect from where they last died. Which is the cause of Kishirika's death chains being kinda high. She just starves over and over again from not being very survival smart or meeting anyone for long periods of time.
The appearance in the anime is probably as young as her immortality will let her be.

It feels like she'd be better suited for almost an entirely different show like maybe the same world that holds the Seven Deadly Sins series, not really a RPG fantasy style world, but she'd fit right in, and be abit more relevant there than here in Mushoku Tenshsei.

Well, Mushoku Tensei is actually a prequel to another story that she may be more relevant in. Not sure how far the author is into writing the story of the other reincarnations (Nanahoshi and her missing..... Beau? The protagonist of the sequel)

I'm not really sure what to think of Kishirika, I generally dislike ditsy, energetic characters as I find them to be a particular kind of annoying that grinds my gears especially. Despite that, I find her to a rather unique character that feels fairly fun, I also like her little quirk of just giving away helpful abilities for like 10 bucks and a few minutes of your time. She's gotta run out of eyes eventually though, right?

Ah Badigadi doesn’t want to catch a case. Long lived species do view time differently and mature differently regardless of elves or demons or any other species. Meeting only every so often and being so individualistic seems to be the case for the Migurd and many long lived races. And I mean the convenient characters are doing things for themselves and not necessarily for others
Also if you live 100s of years, you can’t live with one or 2 people for that long since it’s too long so you need to move around and keep distance lol. Finally getting to see some of the videos

But in all seriousness, she isn't dumb, she is smart enough to read the intend of even Moore. She had the wisdom to order all demon lords to grow Sokasu gras. She realized that she and Badigadi were manipulated by you-know-who in the second demon-human war.
The fact that she is captured or starving most of the time is just a facade, or more like a game probably. Kishirika is very strong, even in her diminutive form she is above saint level in brute strength. While Rudeus was wearing mk2 she overpowerd him with one arm and did magic eye surgery with the other.
Kishirika is obviously inhuman and most likely insanely strong at her peak. So why is she the way that she is? Badi mentioned offhandedly that she cannot leave the demon continent, this was said with somewhat finality so I suspect that a higher power that herself 'sealed' Kishirika to be stranded there (for now at least). She is basically a big fish in a small pond and I guess immortal life gets boring so she sets personal rules for herself to survive by rallying on charity and then gifting generous people with a demon eye.
Finally I don't actually think that she is an immortal demon race. For one she doesn't look like any of the immortal demons we know. An secondly there is this paragraph from the WN:

Besides hinting that she isn't the same race Kishirika is obviously sarcastic here, which might be the lowest form of wit, but it's still wit.
Sure she does reincarnate, but that might be her personal power. I'm not sure what race she is, I don't think Rifujin has actually thought it through himself. Let's be honest, he wrote these novels very quickly and there are a lot of missing details... like where do elves come from? Or the battle god language? Sorry, I'm getting sidetracked.

In retrospect, Hitogami made him pay quite the hefty price for that demon eye (Light Spoilers):
1° He didn't get to meet up with Roxy, because he spent that week holed up in his room.
2° He unknowingly worsened Eris's inferiority complex by beating her into the ground. (This happens in some shape or form every time he follows his advice during their travels)
3° He got tricked into helping a massive operation against the beastfolk, who are protectors of the sacred beast and allies of the hero.
If you read the WN, you can tell all of those were some pretty big wins for Hitogami.
In the end he rectified all those mistakes himself or they actually improved the lives of those effected. In some cases meeting Roxy could have ruined his entire life in that situation because not meeting her here is actually a reason behind a lot of actions he makes in the future. Not meeting her gives him inspiration to improve himself just like beating Eris gives her inspiration to improve herself.
Had they met she definitely woulda spent it telling Rudy how amazing he is which probably would have stunted his magic growth in the future. Since the fear of her disapproval is the reason he gets so good at it. In the point of view of this story Hitogami's goals being achieved don't matter to the viewer as much either. Since you are here for Rudy, Eris, Roxy, Sylphy, and everyone around them anyway.
So in the end it's a matter of perspective. Do you care more about the main character or about the rest of the world? =3

That was precisely what the problem was for hitogami. He couldn't drive a wedge between them like he did with Eris or Sylphy. In the end, he killed her with an incurable disease in the Oldeus timeline.
