Peter, I've watched many of your videos and just stumbled on this one. It is terrific! Would love to see more like it! You put a lot of work into this and it shows! Loved it!
Beautiful. He was so advanced or rather in touch with the facts that we are nature itself and that a part of us, smaller in some of us and larger in others of us, are children in adult bodies. It dawns on me, Peter that people who would have an interest in the theme of slow living must have a curiosity for our psychology as humans beyond the superficial, an awareness for the importance of a philosophy for life, and a bent or appreciation for the spiritual aspect of life. These combined with an appreciation for maths, empiricism, and rational thinking can create this balance that you’ve spoken of in your video. It’s very thoughtful. Thank you.
Thanks Dean! I agree, when you are able to live more slowly, you create more space. Which likely leads to an increased curiosity in things beyond the superficial, like philosophy. I know it does for me. 😀
Maybe it’s a blessing in disguise that the rest of the residential lots did not get sold; and the property is now accessible to the general public for appreciation of the site, the views and the vision of its legendary master. I am thankful and blessed for having visited this place.
That was great Peter. So interesting to better understand Park Guell and the story behind it, and to see its great art work. How could your mind not wonder walking around there ? Sounds like Barcelona is conducive to slow living, but that said, pools of tranquility can be sought out any where, one just might have to get a little more creative.
Glad you liked it, Lachlan! I think that last part of what you said is key: _"pools of tranquility can be sought out anywhere."_ At the surface level, a rural village is more conducive for slow living. But many of us prefer city life (myself included) and with the right mindset (and being a little creative, as you said) life in a city can also be calm. 😀
Do you think you could live in Park Güell if it wasn’t a tourist attraction?

Thanks! Yes, it was a lot of work making this one, glad you enjoyed it 😀
It would be a blessing and a dream to live there. Slowing my life down has given me my sanity back.

Such an interesting video ! I had never thought of Park Guell as a symbol of minimalism...thanks 👍
Glad you enjoyed the video! 😀
Thank you😊
Antoni Gaudí had elevated the garden city concept to a much more exciting and ambitious endeavour.
