As someone suffering from Bi Polar disorder it really does hit me like a brick. My uncle had a very tough life, he had everything at one point and watched it all get taken away. Me and him had always been able to go to eachother for things we couldn’t go to others for. I remember one Christmas the whole family was together for the first time in a long time, and we were chilling on the porch alone with the radio on when this song came on. He cranked it up as high as it and sang the chorus with me. He gave me a hug and said “we’re okay man, we’re all a little fucked up.” That will always be one of my favorite moments with him when he was alive, and I still get very emotional hearing it.

Hope The Glorious Son know how great this song is and they deserve to win best song for this year. Was once my life and this song is a perfect expression of that dark point of my life. So thanks to everyone that helped create the song.
The song's basic meaning: desperate people do desperate things. The solution for the powers-that-be to avoid a big chunk of society doing desperate things is not oppressing them even further and thus increasing their desperation, it's to alleviate the desperation. But either way, the downtrodden never stay downtrodden, power balances out sooner or later inevitably. What the powers-that-be need to decide is whether they want to use their power to alleviate desperation, thus fixing the imbalance one way, or to do nothing, and then the downtrodden take the power away, thus fixing the imbalance the other way. It all works out in the end.

I am TIM g1
PTSD and the College I went to kicked me out because they found out I had it. Then got an eviction notice. Got let go from my job because an older gentleman with more experience was returning to the job. And lastly my girlfriend broke up with me, telling me she was sleeping around with a buddy of mine.
This song just captures something raw, sometimes life fucking sucks man. It’s kind of nice though that I’m not the only one going through a shitty time.
That shit happens to the best of us. You hang in there brother. It's just seasoning for the soul
hey. its been a year and i hope you got this sorted out
Alice Beneteau nope. Shit only rolls down hill man

I really thought I had missed a classic when I heard it on the radio, when I looked it up, it had probably been out for a year. But the fact remains, this will be a CLASSIC and in most peoples playlist if they hear it too. It's a song for everybody
this is just one of those songs where you just sit back and say "yep".

This is PERFECT, and actual REALITY... This Country's (USA) New NATIONAL ANTHEM!
My 48yo father spent a month in ICU & we lost him on January 8th. His father died Christmas Day. Buried both of them within 2 weeks. Just me and mom left to take care of a whole farm, I'm still trying to finish college, and I can't afford a car and now we have insane hospital bills. I'm REALLY feeling this song right now.
I’m sorry for your loss:( Hang in there, things will get better!
Just don’t get hooked on oxycodone lol

Keep fighting. It's never soon enough, but it gets better. And I'm a pessimist by nature.
Its all about how we all walk the line of sanity and when is enough. Its all insanity and what you do to keep afloat until you dont.
Literally the best song ever
