I bought a dodge viper.. Has this system installed.. Wasn't sure how it worked since watching your video now I know.. Mine doesn't have the blinking light anywhere visible.. But I noticed the warn away when I set some. Grocerys on the seat b4 turning alarm off.. It's much better than standard car alarms for sure.. And a must have for convertible owners
Thanks for this basic review. I recently bought a similar kit, but for different reasons (tilt sensor for cat jacking, motion sensor to detect bears trying to break in while camping). You had a shop install it for you. I plan to try to do the install myself. Hopefully successfully.
instead of that glass sensor; better to install a radar sensor. Guards interior. For example if someone opens or cuts plastic window are, reaches into vehicle, alarm fires off. Since you already have a perimeter sensor you are set. 2 way paging is the way to go.
Hey Matt! GREAT! Review on 3350v Viper and I just purchase one and learning lot from your video but just curious would currently Still have 3350v Viper
Let me get this straight. Your local alarm shop installed the alarm but didn't solder the hood pin switch wiring? How about the rest of the wiring - I hope they soldered those connections too. It's a great alarm system but please make sure you have someone go through the entire wiring now to properly make those connections or buy a $20 soldering iron and learn. It's not difficult at all and a great skill to have. Cheers!
How do you set the sensitivity feature of the the viper alarm? I want it to warn away when someone is leaning on my car. I do not have the motion sensor but the viper alarm and the tilt sensor.
can you tell me if this alarm could detect if someone crawled under a car (not jacked it up) and tried sawing off the cat? Or removed the tire under it?
Unfortunately it probably wouldn't go off until they started sawing if they don't use a car jack-- cat clamp is another option that might work better for that type of situation though
You better have a weapon at the ready for when the pager goes off and be willing to use it. The police will never get there in time. Just the other day I arrested a guy stealing license plates, who was in a stolen car. He's in jail now.
Depends on how they're harvesting them (what tools they're using, if they're outside the car, etc) and which of the added accessories you've installed-- for instance, if you have the vibration alarm sensitivity threshold set very low and they're using an angle grinder then it likely will go off, or if they're lifting the car to take the wheels/tires and you have the tilt sensor installed it would also. But otherwise it may not go off if they're just outside the car using wrenches or an impact drill on the nuts/screws, etc.
Not sure, the model I got (the 3305V) didn't come with the remote start feature -- that model was slightly more expensive so I opted to get it without that feature
You talked about buying and getting a bunch of additional products installed but nothing about how the Viper worked, its features, how easy it was to install, etc. All we get is that you would recommend it.
Are you sure you watched the same video as the rest of us? He did not install it himself. He paid someone at a local shop about $100 for about 2 hours of labor to install it. That’s as much as he knows about the installation other than showing where some of the visible parts happen to be placed in his vehicle. Installation was not the point of the video. He did explain the alarm’s pager notification capability, including about how far he has been and still been able to get the alert. Then he explained what each of the accessories do. This review provided enough detail that I feel comfortable deciding if it does what I need and which accessories I need. He included aspects of the system that weren’t ideal and how he dealt with them.
I bought a Viper alarm/remote starter for my last new car. I am very disappointed and dissatisfied with Viper do to the poor quality of the main remote that has bad cracks all around the outside edge of the remote. I glued with crazy glue but it is no longer holding together. It should have a metal edge around the entire outer edge. It looked like it std but they are tricky in fooling the customer. It is painted plastic to look like metal. I resorted to the one way remote but can not tell if doors are open or closed. Plus.. my car continuously remotely starts accidentally because of poor design. I paid about $650 and will never buy another Viper product.

man, you need to do reviews for a living.. nicely done

This is awesome just saw it Matt! So nice of you to make a video to help other people

Along with all those add ons, you should install a battery back up to the system.
Wish I saw this video BEFORE my wife’s Wrangler got stolen

Can you tell me how to turn up the sound on my remote

Good review man.
Nice review. Thanks

You can install a motion sensor underneath your car which will trigger your alarm if anyone slides underneath.
I just want to know what buttons to press on my viper 3305 V to start my truck

Nice Kit
I cant believe that happened im sorry
How about a car alarm that sounds like gunshots.
Question does the tilt sensor and window sensor come with the original packaging or do you have to add it afterwards?
The Viper system comes with a shock sensor only. Both of those sensors are plug-and-play add-ons.
very good thank you
Hay I bought a r33 and it came with one of these, wanting to know what is the aux and orange button for?
Very useful!!!Thanks!
What about if somebody's harvesting parts off your car will it sound off

Do you know if the dual zone limit sensor can be covered, or does it need to be open like you have it?
I have a viper and it's all hidden... I don't even know where they put the stuff works great
So how much did you pay
About $200 for the alarm system plus all the listed extra parts off amazon and then $100 to get it installed at a local shop
Question: When you remote start the car would the car turn off when you open the door??
Not sure, the model I got (the 3305V) didn't come with the remote start feature -- that model was slightly more expensive so I opted to get it without that feature
Does the viper 3305v security system come with the accessories or is it sold separately?
The accessories were sold separately but were plug-and-play with the viper system

Would this void my warranty?
No sure but I would assume once you modify components of the alarm/electronics that the warranty would no longer apply to at least those components
How much was it for the system and install?
Check the damn description of the video and find out more details then the title.
@@gdejju I'm so sorry
How
I how much was all that?
About $200 for the alarm system plus all the listed extra parts off amazon and then $100 to get it installed at a local shop
my car it off the ground so they do not need a jack
You need to move
F...k we need install learning
