I moved to Muirhouse Place West in 1966. This was a just a big field (I used to catch bees on it), Prefabs had been removed in readiness of these flats going up. They are all now gone and replaced with new housing, I'm older than houses, how scary is that....?
Irvine Welsh had a flat on the top floor of the second building you see at the start of the video. I grew up in the third one.

I used to live there - 1st block. loads of memories as I lived there for 20 odd years. was a great place to live but at the end.... really sad

I had a cousin lived in Muirhouse in the 80s and it was grim. Loads of smack. He moved to Lanark.
I used to live there. They'er are new blocks of flat's there now.
