No ambient lighting at 60k? Come on, Toyota.
been waiting for this! thanks!
no matter what the youtube comment says, this will definitely one of the top selling suvs in 2024. love that you guys post videos of the cars with high demand, and not what the stupid comments say.
It will definitely one of the top selling suvs in 2024 indeed
Yea same for the TX, all the tx350 have been pre sold before even arriving at the dealership. Dont get me started with the tx500h. U know why, they didnt even have time to post it online cuz people bought all of them. How do i know? I bought the tx500h April 12!
@@baoanprounited exactly, yet people online refuse to believe the facts. congrats for your new ride!!
@double_eggs thanks. Every time i see haters comment on Toyota trashing them. I just laugh cuz they're mad that Toyota is selling so well 😂😆
Excellent video!😸
Test drove one of these. Compared to my 18 Highlander I love everything about with the upgrades done it except for one big issue. My god is the engine noise and cabin noise loud. I couldn’t believe how loud the interior is on a 60k vehicle. The Lexus tx350 is much better on cabin noise
I really just love you guys so much
Thank you for the review! I love this idea of night reviews. The GH is definitely on my list. Could you please do a night review of the Kia Telluride SX Prestige X-line? 😊
Thanks for the support! We hope to get one on loan and do one for it!
Yes! I would love to see this as well please 🙏🏼
Love going to my grandpa car just to see the approach lights
Weird , as we have ambient lighting on ours in the front footwells, the interior armrest cubby holes (front and back). The led is white only though.
How do you turn on the ambient lighting
At that’s price how can you not have autodimming side mirrors or some interior ambient light
It's a Toyota that's why.
There are ambient lights. Also just tint your windows. Which is what you should be doing anyways unless your a grandma
You will have to move up to the Lexus TX.
I like the Toyota grand highlander! Very nice, great night review!!!
There’s also lighted cargo sill plates available. 😁
And door sills too if I’m not mistaken. That’s typical for Toyota vehicles though
Please review the Grand Highlander Hybrid ... as the Platinum MAX is in scarce supply. Dealers state that Toyota sees more demand for the hybrid iteration. Fuel economy and the bench seat set-up are pluses. Thanks!
Hardly any Ambient lighting is a major bummer. Toyota should go all out with this SUV. Grand? No so much. Ugggggh
Thank you for showing it at night. 👍
It appears that the ambient lighting in their tester was turned off or dimmed. Limited and Platinum trims get white lighting in the footwells, center console (wireless charging area), and front storage shelf. Not crazy lighting, but there is some.
@MattCC16Gaming
Thanks!!
My 2021 Highlander Platinum Hybrid only has a faint blue ambient light. I really want a multi-colored option. That would be great!!
My lease is up in September. I have 4 payments left, and I am in the market now!! I have already went to look at a BMW X3 and X5. My next visit will he to see the Lexus TX FSport 500
The fact that the hybrid max can't be had with a three place second row is a deal breaker for my family of five because sometimes we need maximum cargo space and to seat five and we often haul lots of kids around. I don't understand why Toyota and Lexus won't sell you top trim cars with more than four seats in the first two rows. Honda and Acura seem to get it.
I hate second row captain chairs too, especially on 3 row crossovers that don’t have much space behind the third row. Leave captain chairs for minivans and full-size SUVs.
Even the CX-90 have ambient lighting
C'mon, Toyota, at this price point we should expect some awesome ambient interior lighting and, oh, a capless fuel filler system!
I agree about the fuel filler it’s pretty cheap but there is ambient lighting in my GH platinum. Not sure why his doesn’t have it.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This looks much better than it’s sister vehicle Lexus TX
Rav4 and the Highlander have amber indicators but the Grand Highlander has blinking brake lights! WHY TOYOTA? WHY?
No auto dimming mirrors is so bizarre
Aren’t there fewer cars in the segment that do it than cars that don’t?
Like Toyota
Can you do a Subaru night review?!
Which one would you like to see?
@@CarConfections omg you responded🥺😭😱
Either Outback wilderness or Crosstrek wilderness.
@@CarConfections and at some point I’d love to see the new forester at night.
@@Zanderthelab when we get those on loan in KY we will be able to get some night content 👍 Subaru should definitely send us the Forester in the next couple months
@@CarConfections you rock! I LOVE your channel!! Ps I LOVE donuts!
I heard its not a good idea to buy that model because its only a 4 cylinder
And the engine will west down. Toyota should have kept the 6 cyl
Modern Toyota 4-cylinders are some of the most reliable motors on the market.
Wow $62,000 USD it’s way too expensive for a family car!
i will get it used in 5yrs for $55k 😂
4 cylinder, no ambient ligjting, and its a hybrid.for 62k 🤦
Kind of a lot.. think I’d pay a lot less for a nicer rav4
Would you buy this car?
62k for Toyota where are we heading 😂😂😂 really
$30 k for a side by side, you tell me 😂
62k but after tax and financing ends up close to 70k. No thanks. I’m happy with my 2023 Honda pilot
@@ToyotaChrisWI ur YT name tells tat U r blind supporter of Toyota lol 😂 it’s still a TOYOTA and not AUDI or BMW 🤣😂 until very recently, almost millions of TOYOTAs had been recalled for lot of safety issues lol 😂 wake up from ur dead sleep 🤣😂
@@luis-lopez6643 yep 👍 but these Toyota Fan Boys would come with lame reasons saying Build Quality and reliability blah blah 🤣😂😅
I’d rather have the Lexus equivalent.
No you wouldn’t 😂. And indeed you really shouldnt😂
@@naveenthemachinei was thinking the base lexus TX would be nicer and cheaper, starting at 56k
@@ExpertUA-camCommentator but it’s not. The tx is nowhere near as nice as any of its rivals and the starting price is higher than most
I have it. It's great. I would NOT get the base though. The GH Platinum is better than the TX base. As for naveen...ignore them. They troll every toyota/lexus GH/TX forum, yt vid, etc posts out there. Is the TX perfect? Nope. BMW and Merc have some beautiful interiors, but not the space. You can also get them with v6/v8 but they WILL cost more for comparable features and options. In my opinion they ride about the same, but BMW's would drive better and Merc's are much quieter. Lexus is the all around good at a lot, but only best in reliability. Jack of all trades, master of none. It's the balanced middle. It will bum you out in some places, and make you smile in others. BMW/Merc pull out your hair with stupid repairs, and you eventually trade it in for a Lexus or Acura, unless you're super rich and you just get a new one every two years anyways, like the Range Rover folks...cause that's pure garbage.
@@aaronbrooks4091 every other car in its class is better executed. They didn’t even try in the tx or gh. There’s no balance and it’s not all around good. In just about every category the Tx really falls way behind the competition
The new Traverse is much better...
Agreed. In fact any other 3 row is better
Based on what? Certainly not reliability.
@@adidas333777 reliability is the least of concern. It’s about what’s the most comfortable, more feature rich, driving experience, etc
It’s about which one is the easiest to live with. Besides reliability in any other car is only marginally worse but you’re gonna pay significantly less than a Toyota
Toyota does the strict minimum..... I'm going Korean....
It makes absolutely ZERO sense to buy this thing (unless you can get it for $30K or less and that's me being generous). Everyone I know who got suckered into buying one these, hates them. And one of them had to have the turbos replaced already before 50K. Toyota tried to fight them and say it was neglect but they had all the receipts from oil changes and basic routine maintenance stuff and then they had to get a lawyer. A total nightmare like the one I went through when I had to sue TOYota over my Corolla that didn't even have 80K. 🙄
Sorry you had a bad experience with a Toyota. I have two friends that have these and absolutely love them. No issues so far.
What a rip off!
No kidding 🤣
How’s it a rip off? That’s right in line with most of its competitors
@@bradyb9929 how?
It’s not attractive or luxurious and it’s way overpriced
@@naveenthemachinethe Honda Pilot is the same price and doesn’t even have ventilated seats for the 2nd row
All the competitors are on too it they high price each other and all win
Let’s see:
It’s not very attractive, it’s not luxurious, the tech is still old, no features, a barely roomier interior than the telluride, underwhelming powertrains, boring driving experience, it rides like a boat, and it’s way overpriced!?
And the pricier TX doesn’t even solve any of these problems?
Yeah okay 😂🤣😆
It is bigger than the telluride. Seen a limited in person and it is very nice.
@@tmyere.ignore that troll
@@tmyere. it’s not much bigger inside. The grand highlander is bigger outside but that should give you an idea as to how poor Toyotas space efficiency and packaging are. Hyundai Kia Honda can package the same if not more in a smaller footprint
@@naveenthemachine yeah as long as you keep them parked outside so your house doesn’t burn down 😂
@@ToyotaChrisWI right… you live in 2009 where Hyundais catch on fire
Hate to break it to you but this is 2024. Not 2009
College is rip off
So many unread texts!!!
That's Mason for ya 🤣
You gots to be cray cray to spend $62K on a bland and boring Toyota!!!! And why is the inside of that car so dark? How are people supposed to see my phat yams if it’s so dark? Miss my cakes with this mess boo boo!!!!!
Your comments always crack me up! Thank you!
It appears that the ambient lighting in their tester was turned off or dimmed. Limited and Platinum trims at least (there may be more than I’m listing) get white lighting in the footwells, center console (wireless charging area), and front storage shelf. There are other YT videos showing it (e.g. Jeff Teague). Not crazy lighting, but there is some. This comment tho 😂
