I just know there will be some mixed comments on this as usual, just remember this is Australia and we have stud adhesive and 6m(20ft sheets) and metal angles and mostly use plaster cornices on ceilings and guys like these that do a super neat job and know exactly what they are doing.
Hey lads appreciate your clean net work but isn’t tapping in when you have coated everything angles internals extra? That’s were the time is!! Also unsure why you coat tape again after taping do it at the same time would save you time.
I'm gonna get up earlier and better myself everyday, .......with every box of all-purpose and every roll of fiberfuse..goshdarn it...!!!!!!!!!!!! God bless the Queen, smooth walls and flush seams... (ha ha ha )@iggydc8034
mint to have yous back 👊 Lads , me and a mate had a lot of pitts on our innys and square stop last couple new builds. we run same system as you .. what would you usually put them down to mud thickness ? cheers
@@geordie-drywall did you tape them with base/hotmud. If theyre bubbles it’s not cause of mud thickness, it’s cause what’s underneath isn’t dry properly. If they’re pock holes like small circle divots then yeah muds probably too thick, what mud you using? Some muds just in general have more pock than others
@@drywallgangsters yeah mate it's the poc holes .. there's a product on the shelf like dishwashing liquid , meant to help with them. might give it a go. Just use Gib Trade finish aextra light .. seems to go well bar these last 2 houses. cheers lads
I like it but this system is so slow and to many guys for this size of job if this was to happen here in canada the drywall company your subing to would get rid of you and tell you your to slow i was at work today and taped six condo units hit the screws filled all the bead and there is a ton of bead in condo's close to 2000 feet in one condo and i ran the 10inch box by myself so when tapers from canada see this they shake there head and wonder how they make money doing it that way with all thoses guys onsite for a job of that size man i want to move to Australia so i can work like that it would be like been on vacation i think its pretty cool guys. I think ill make a video of how its done here for you maxkil and show that crew so you guys can see the difference from place to place.
Yeah for sure mate some video mate. Normally they try and do another one at the same time, and they might also top coat one that was started the day before. But yeah I would love some video
Hey mate we usually do 10000 square feet of board a day. We put 2 coats on one 10000 square foot house and drive to another from the previous day and put the 3rd coat on that, scrape and sweep floors and jobs done. We use hotmud for 1st coat of taping, beads and screws and second coat butts with hotmud also. That’s how we’re able to do that in a day!
@@TBird89yeah mate 8-10 hours we do 2 coats on one job, drive to the job from the day before and do the 3rd coat. We don’t do all 3 coats on the one job cause it won’t be dry and you’ll get pinholes (bubbles) and lots of shrinkage but it is possible if you use base (hotmud) for your second coat but generally we never do that. It’s hot in Queensland so the job from the day before is dry and you don’t get any bubbles or shrinkage 👍🏼 hope that helps

The more I watch these videos, the more I know I suck at drywall taping...

@@drywallgangsters aye that's what we call them here .. little holes on the top coat when flushing last couple jobs 🙄
