    I like the small detail that Tyr is almost offended by Kratos asking why he was helping him. He probably does not like the notion that everyone needs an agenda and simply wants to help because he can.

      To be fair that's all kratos has really known and that's why when freya helps atreus when he was sick and had no ulterior motives he will never forget it. He has no clue who tyr actually is cuz his time he spent with him was just a fake

    Real Tyr: a man who has mastered the art of war so that he can ensure peace to last. He is kind, gentle, wise, but will fight tooth and nail if need be. A true god of war

    I like that although the real Týr prefers peace over violence just like Odin's depiction of him, he still believes that fighting is necessary from time to time. He is still a god of war, after all. Fighting is within his very being.

      And boy does he do it well, in Valhalla. Not to mention mastering so many foreign (Mayan, Egyptian and Japanese) weapons. Also, he was proud of Freya for helping initiate Ragnarok and kill Odin, unlike Odin's impersonation of him.

    It's easily overlooked in the game that Odin's weapon of choice is also a spear. Same as Tyr. Using a spear to fight would most likely blow his cover through his fighting style in the presence of a God of war. That's most likely why Odin in disguise avoided fighting.

    • @anonemuss1418
      @anonemuss1418 5 місяців тому +17

      It might be more accurate to say that Odin’s weapon of choice is his magical arsenal, whether learned or stolen. However, the Gungnir spear is an important part of Odin’s mythological image, so he had to have it. It’s true though that trying to imitate a real war god’s skill with a spear probably would have given the game away.

    Tyr is a God who actively challenges Kratos' ideals. I think that it's good they didn't go that way, since it would make Odin seem really dumb, since even if he didn't know the Bïfrost eyes could do that, he would have still known he doesn't ACTUALLY have Bïfrost eyes, so why would he agree to do it?
