- No commentary playthrough of the Early Access version of Fallen Aces. Medium difficulty, showing all secrets where possible.
The A.C.E.S, watchful guardians of Switchblade City, are being taken down, one by one. Now it's up to one man, with two fists, to get to the bottom of it all. Fallen Aces is a noir-gangster story with completely hand drawn graphics to propertly depict a comic book.
As for the gameplay, it's a linear experience in the sense that you have to accomplish a certain amount of objetives in succesion in each one of the big levels, but you get absolute freedom on how you approach them, imsim style, but it doesn't go full imsim either. There are plenty of guns and melee weapons and you can use literally anything as a throwable weapon, buth eac one of the weapons isn't very durable, so you will be experimenting new stuff all the time, all the way to a frying pan.
The EA, while it still feels like an Early Access, works fine and offers a very enjoyable first episode so far.

Los "A.S.E.S.", los atentos guardianes de Switchblade City, estan cayendo uno a uno. Es hora de que un hombre, con sus dos puños, llegue al fondo del asunto. Fallen Aces es una novela negra de gangsters con gráficos completamente dibujados a mano para dar una sensación a cómic convincente.
Acerca del gameplay, es una experiencia linear en el sentido de que debes cumplir una serie de objetivos en orden en cada uno de los grandes mapas del juego, pero tienes total libertad de cómo afrentarlos, al estilo de los imsims, pero tampoco toma la dirección de imsim por completo. Hay muchas armas de fuego y de cuerpo a cuerpo, y literalmente puedes usar casi todo como arma arrojadiza, pero las armas no son muy duraderas, así que estarás experimentando cosas nuevas todo el rato, hasta una sartén si fuese necesario.
La versión de AA, aunque todavía se siente muy AA, funciona perfectamente y ofrece un primer episodio muy disfrutable.

It's a Cultic reference, nice to see even Dusk paid tribute to that outstanding game. I have Dusk in my library but haven't installed yet

I'm a bit thrown off by the art style but I don't dislike it. Kind of different from normal cel-shade? Idk how to describe it.
Has great voice over and audio work though!
dunno looks pretty much like cel-shading to me
and the art-style, theme of the game even gameplay reminds me of XIII
but with a worse production quality.. maybe closer to Action Doom 2 instead
It probably was the intent, the first prototypes of this game ran in GZDoom
There is a saying in video games (especially FPS games) "If you're going to let the player carry many powerful weapons, always give the exact same weapons in the hands of the enemies"
Thats why this game is too easy, no goons carrying sniper rifle, tommyguns, dynamite, etc. too much dumbass melee fodder.
It's medium difficulty.
There are snipers, and there are goons with tommys
