    It is best to cut the old drier out. When you remove by un brazing the connection, you heat up all the moisture that drier has removed and release it back into the system. Not best of practices. Just some advice take it or leave it but, I did want to offer it to you. Thank you brother. Keep on keeping on.

    • @EphocaUSA
      @EphocaUSA 10 місяців тому

      Would heat to the ends of the filter dryer while on brazing cause the beads inside to get hot enough to release the moisture? I feel like there would not be enough time/heat to get the filter dryer itself hot only the ends . Also, the system was already open to atmosphere, and filled with plenty of moisture via the leak found. A proper evacuation will take out moisture.
      Perfection is the killer of progress.

    Just confirming dunno if you brought it up in this I didn’t see it but you should mention to remove the shrader valves to have the system open so the pressure doesn’t build up ruining your brazes. Aswell as running very low nitrogen flow through your system while brazing to ensure oxidation doesn’t occur

    How do you find the Smans? I have them as well but I find they are almost too sensitive sometimes for pressure testing. I find 0.0Pdif very difficult to achieve on a long pressure test. I often end up with -0.2 or there abouts. And I find with temp probs connected and calibrated it is even more inconsistent. Sometimes raising or lowering on tight systems after being givin lots of time for equalization

      Inside the condenser, the fan will help components cool off and resist rusting because of the airflow. Has more protection from the elements, impact damage, theft. Possibly deter homeowner from what appears to be an easy DIY repair attempt.
      Any factory alteration/modification especially from an unlicensed HVAC tech is risky for voided warranties, insurance claim denials or code violations. Best to leave things alone.
      My disconnect was rusted all the way through and had evidence of a lightning strike. It was totally exposed to the elements. The tech was totally amazed that it hadn't caught fire yet. Replaced fan, disconnect box, and wires. ✌

      @@86AW11 Biden doesn’t control your corporate power company from charging you so much. Most cities have a council usually appointed by your mayor or governor that allow them to increase your rates. The base problem is that most people’s power company is a for profit. IMO power companies should be community owned and totally non profit.

    Ive got a brand new HVAC system with heat pump. 4 ton unit. Is using 20 kwh per hour. Our bill is 1200 a month. This started 2 months a ago the moment the system was wired up an powered on. WTF is going on

      Sounds like to me that somebody wired your heater kit to work all the time or with a call for hate.Maybe your thermostat's programmed incorrectly or the units wired incorrectly

      @TaddyDigest i have a call into them. It's Xmas so it will be a few days. I'll let u know but from your experience, you would say something definitely wrong and fixable?? I mean 260 kwh a day for a 1500 sqft house. We went from 26 kwhs to 260 as soon as this thing kicked on
