Good to see you back, and yes it's been a brutal summer as far as the temperatures. Hope you are able to get back on the lathe soon, look forward to your projects. Take care.
Hi 👋, Kim and Family, glad to hear 👂 That you are all keeping well well, sorry to hear 👂 that you have had problems with your Chickens 🐓 Extra wildlife trying to get into them not good, And the Homestead is coming along fine we hope, and we are all looking forward to see you doing some more wood turning, hopefully soon, 😂 . Phil from the moulin.
Miss ya Kim!! I hope you have had a chance to keep up with all the turners out there. The last home update looked pretty good. I know life can be challenging but you have a lot of people who say a lot of prayers for you!! Trust Gods will
You’re right, it’s been stupid hot here in south Louisiana. 🥵 My feathered ladies have slowed down their egg production because of the heat I believe. I’m interested in hearing if the grubs helped yours produce some eggs or not. It was great seeing you Kim!
Used to be , when grasshoppers got bad in summer we would take a couple hens and turn them in the garden . They would chase hoppers a hundred feet . But then they laid eggs with green yolks. Sure cleaned out the grasshoppers though
Hi Kim...havent seen you since the feeding of the chickens...try sprinkling cinnamon and cyan pepper around the coop to keep the raccoons away...any idea when you'll be back to turning...stay safe...press on 😎Joe
I want to get ducks but they are so messy. I friend of mine has several and advises not to get them because of the mess. I am a learn for myself kinda person so I will probably end up with a few...or more. lol
Hi Kim and family. It is so nice to see another video from you. I hope your chickens perk up and produce more eggs. Put an empty KFC bucket in there and maybe that will encourage them a little too. God Bless you and your family, and the chickens as well. All the best from Alaska.
Had not even thought about the grubs boosting production. I’ve been giving our flock for just a treat. Mine seem to really love the “fermented” grain as well. Good to see you again.
We have 10 chickens and on a good day we get 3 eggs. We live in Texas and have had brutal heat 2 summers in a row. We do feed Grub Terra every day. I can't imagine how few eggs we would get without it. I sure do miss your turning videos.
We had 2 roosters in our small flock, the largest one went after my wife twice and myself once, learned his lesson from that, lol. Both of them were stressing out the hens so we had to get rid of them. Egg production has been so much better now. We give our hens scratch corn and they love it haven’t tried the grubs yet. Their run I built with chicken wire has the sections of wire over lapping and secured down with wood slats so that it can’t be lifted up by animals.
So good to see y'all are doing well! I rewatch your turning videos every time one pops on my feed. Bless you my friend!🙏❤️

A head of cabbage always makes my girls happy. We seem to get more eggs about 2 days after they eat it.
Thank you for the tip! I'll try that and make note.
I live in Australia are you still posting videos cause i haven't seen one in along time

Pretty ladies there lol, chickens are adorable 😊, handsome Roo🤓. Poor things got traumatized from mister raccoon
I recommend getting a few ducks. Ive seen ducks take on snakes. They make fantastic burglar alarms. Plus, egss and meat.

@@KimTippin Id say the messiness depends on the breed of duck.
Good to see your chickens! Look forward to more videos.
