I had this VHS as a kid used to watch it religiously lol the Rick Dyer crash and the Chevelle wheel stand are classic memories ❤ was a different commentator on the vhs tho lol
literally same my parents drag raced in the psca on the west coast and i had this vhs, the 95 and 96 at orlando speed world and the 2000 one at Memphis Motorsports park where it was mike moran vs tony christian when he used the red firebird. Coolest format for racing having to be street cars i remember where just breaking 6 second barrier was fast now we got 5.50 doorslammers its nuts
I remember Mike Thompson putting that chevelle on the back bumper every single time. That car was always so fun to watch even though if I remember right he was in the 9s
did Dyer have a stroke or something on that launch? looked like he was in the gas still after he crossed over the other lane. hmmmm. I seen Montey Berney race that car in St Louis at the old Gateway track. I still have the t shirt.
What kind of a "Car guy" or Motorhead wear's a suit & tie in the heat of the summer months at the Track .. go ahead I'll wait think of one ...But the real wet my pants comes when these clowns explain Burn outs ...
Late with the comment but thanks for posting. Brings back so many memories. Love watching these competitions. Thanks again.
I miss this type of racing. I was at this race. All of these cars had such unique sound everyone had to run complete mufflers. Mainly flowmasters.
I was there also
