I think since the original with its mystic and eerie feel has been etched into our hearts is the reason this one doesn't hit that nerve. However this version does give the song a completely different feel with a mix of jazz while keeping the original roots of sarangi and tabla. A bit different but I really liked it. Kudos Shilpa brilliant as always

I think it’s the violins and western instruments. The beauty of this song was how traditional it was. Indian instruments are of such beauty they truly are spiritual. This song is so spiritual for 3 reasons the lyrics and the Indian instruments, voice. Literally listen to plain tabla playing and you’ll find peace that’s the power of our culture.
