I have had a bob haircut for years and I love it! My hair is wavy. If you have a good hairstylist, he or she should know how to layer it and shape it to bring out the waves. Of course, you can also blow dry it straight. May I suggest you try a longer bob first to get used to the new length.

No better with long hair
I had shirt hair, medium and long hair. The only advise I can give on short hair is if you love it, get it cut every month cuz sometime when it grows a little it starts getting into that in between stage. Also you look so gooooood with short hair! Keep it. You look hot!
Soooo I just chopped all of my hair off myself. long story short I've done way too many chemical processes on it and well I just got to chopping and over all I'm still in shock but I'm slowly falling in love with my new short hair. Was very hesitant since I'm a plus size girl and didn't think my face would look good with such short hair but everyone seems to like it. I freaking love it!!! I'm about to do the same thing. My hair is cascading down my back, is dry, frizzy, and beat-up from the hair color & brutal winter. I want to chop it off!! Going tonight. Can't wait. I love how he left the top longer, it definitely added definition.

I LOVE the cut on you! I never would have had the balls to do that myself. My face is really round so I'm sure it would make it look 10 times bigger, but to my surprise, that cut on you really slimmed your face. Beautiful!!
I have my hair short, and I absolutely LOVE it. Just keep up to date with trims, but if you want to eventually want to grow it out, just make sure your stylist knows that so he doesn't take off as much length, more or less just the split ends. Hair accessories are a MUST HAVE. They are super cute and help a lot on "bad hair days", And be prepared to have a few bad hair days, it's not easy being fabulous.
I absolutely love the wavy curly you got in the last shot. It will be fun for you to style it many ways I'm sure. Your hair was lovely before, but I know how much fun and empowering it can be to go short. I hope you considered donating your hair to charity. Thank you for sharing your journey.

Love the short cut on you! I go back and forth from growing out my hair pretty long to chopping it into a pixie. I currently have a pixie. My hair is very fine and straight, so no advice about wavy hair, but just have fun with it and don't be afraid to try anything.

You look so 'spunky' with short hair. I cut my hair many years ago and am thinking about doing it again. You are right about the adrenaline rush. After i cut my hair i found i had more 'sass' and i 'carried' myself differently. You look amazing!

I got my hair cut into a pixie a couple months ago and recently shaved the back and one short side so that I have more grow out time that way the other side can get longer. I use Tresemme Thermal Creation Heat Tamer Spray on damp towel dry hair, then go in with a round brush (size is to your own liking) then blow dry style for volume, shine and less frizz. I usually rock the hair for 2 or so days and if dry shampoo is needed then I use. I love having short hair and you look amazing with shorter

Beautiful cut! You had an awesome stylist!!! Please don't fight the wave, it suits you and is so easy to keep. You should use salon products for washing and conditioning and styling. Ask that smart stylist, he would know what's best for you!

In may of 2013 I had the craziest idea of getting a pixie cut! I was about to graduate high school (like 3 day til the big day)! So went to the mall, got a pixie cut just like yours, little shorter in the front. Freaked people out because it was so not my style but i rocked it! By July it was starting to get longer and I decided to trim it, long story short I messed up and shaved all my hair off!! LOL I looked good with short hair, so I managed the shaved style too. Well I let it grow out (I can cut my own hair.) I made sure to trim it to where I didn't look like I had a mushroom thing going on.. Now, my hair is like 6 inches long and I miss my long hair, so I'm growing it back out! I warn you now, there are awkward stages!! I do have kinda wavy hair and its thick, but if its style-able then you have not worries! Congrats on the new do!
I love the way yours came out! I have a very similar hair texture/wave/thickness to your hair, so it's awesome to see how great it can look short. I've only had mine short once in high school - but it wasn't quite as short as I would have liked, and I really didn't know how to style it, so it was a bit poofy. I'm gonna cut mine next month. I'm determined to make it look fierce and femme this time. Your's is a relief to see that it can be both. Thank you!
I've had short hair for a very long time (my hair is also pin straight when it was long but it is very thick). Hair gel is your best friend to keeping my little bits of fringe from falling down and to give my hair volume. Get it cut regularly nothing looks worse than a pixie cut when it starts growing out (rat tail is the worst).

Long or short hair you look fantastic but i think you look totally drop dead gorgeous with your sassy new crop. Hope you keep it short and have fun playing with it and trying different colours. Thats the upside of a crop u can colour and bleach it till your heart`s content. So have fun and embrace being a shortie girl.

I am doing this tomorrow! I have been a "short haired girl" on and off for most of my life. I grow it out to shoulder length so I can put it in a pony, then gradually take more and more off until i have a chin-length inverted bob. I decided Monday that I am tired of it (again!) mainly because now that it is winter, it is hard to wear a cold weather hat with this length hair- it is always sticking out of the hat in funny directions and irritating my neck. So, by noon on Black Friday, I will be pixie again! My sons (17 and 10 years old) have not seen me with hair this short before, and I haven't told anyone how drastically short I am going, so wish me luck!

I'm curly too and went nearly as short as you. It's fun! Your cut looks fabulous. I love how curls spring to life without weight or how they re-form from the shaved nape of the neck. Mine's shaved too and feels so cool. I'm heading out today to buy some Devacurl Supercream Coconut Curl Styler. Felt like giving a new product a go on this short style.
it looks awesome! ive had a pixie cut for about a year and ive gone through a couple of different styles in it. the best advice i could give it play with it! try something new everyday.
I shaved my hair 2 years ago from the length that yours was. I too have natural wave to my hair and it's great for having short hair. Mine is now in a pixie and all I have to do most mornings is blow-dry rub some paste into the ends and blow-dry again, I literally let the blow dryer do all the work lol, because I have a natural curl I don't have to do anything else lol. If you want volume use a round brush while drying. I love short hair, it's fast easy and cool in the summer

My hair was super long and i cut it last year exactly like you did in this video. it's a great hairstyle you don't have to put a lot of effort into it. The hair speaks for itself, it's an edgy hairstyle, very stylish, and chic at the same time. Put on a sexy pair of heels and you'll be turning everybody's heads wherever you go. I recommend you to use styling mouse to give your bang. or whatever is left of your hair for that matter, a bit of volume and wave.
I just went back to a pixie (a bit shorter than I expected reek but it takes zero time to fix) after about 3 years of stacked bobs. For me long hair, ages me. Short hair is like the fountain youth. I really love your hair! It suits you a lot. I got my pixie cut done over a month ago now and am going back in a couple of days just to trim it. I am really pleased with how it looks. At first I wasn't sure as a few people made comments but I just thought that if I like it then that's all that matters! I have longer bangs but I am going to get them cut shorter soon. yay I cant wait!
I went even shorter after this first initial cut too. Once you get over the first cut it's just fun to play with new and shorter lengths.
I've got a proper pixie cut now, i like it but its hard to maintain as the sides and back grow quickly. i look like i have got a mullet haha im cutting it again tonight :)

***** I'm not the best about getting a trim right when I need it, but I would go to the salon once every 6-8 weeks or so. It's not THAT much but when I had long hair I would get it cut once every 6 months, so it was definitely a change in my routine.

Looks awesome! I just did a big chop myself and I have naturally curly hair. My haircut was more out of necessity because I had a terrible ombre experience and then travelled overseas and the water there destroyed my hair so when I came home I cut it off. It's amazing really. The cut you got is what I was planning on getting but I went a little longer. ;) keep the videos coming!

I just went from waist length wavy straight hair to short curly hair in April?!!? For me I ave found a new love of serum gels. Also my hair gets drier now that I have to wash it once or twice a week due to my now oily scalp. I'm liking the Devacurl one condition with olive oil on top on rainy days. I like the Curl Junkie Curls in a Bottle on top of the Deva One Condition a lot too. It gets really hot and dry here in middle TN.

Wow I just got my hair cut on an impulse like an hour ago, I love it so much! Ive wanted to for like a year and me and my friends were shopping and I just went for it! I love it so much. I have an oblong faceshape and I still look great. I think anyone can pull it off. SO GO FOR IT! :D

Hey Christina. so the new look fits you perfectly. I think that a pixie was the way to go. My hair at one point was as long as yours was and i did the same thing. took it all off. Some things that i do recommend are to invest in some really nice texture wax to spice up your looks or to just keep flyaway hairs down and to also invest in a good thin straightener. Im sure you have already woken up to the bride of frankenstein hair that literally stand on its own. hahaha, i know i did. Enjoy the new you. It looks beautiful.
Thanks Missy. Yup that's me every morning, but I've learned to tame it with bobby pins and product. And now it's long enough for me to use a mini travel straightening iron on it when I want to change it up!

I admire your courage. I once did the exact same thing you did when I was a little girl. I had long hair almost my whole life and had it cut into a pixie. It was a disaster for me. I thought I would end up with a straight pixie which was very fashionable back then; instead I got a head full of short, fuzzy curls which was not in fashion. Other kids laughed at me.

Spray wax will be your best friend! My hair is short but wavy and I have a lot of cowlicks! If you want your bangs to have a little wave but controlled use a sea salt spray! I hate using gel in my hair cause I have long bangs so steer clear for every day style unless you want to slick it back or something. That's basically it :)

My hair was shoulder length then I chopped it to short 'Pink' style, which i didn't like for a while..mainly because i was in my forties and thought it made me look harsh.
I've since grown my hair out but the knots are a pain to deal with.
Yes I had short hair for 11yrs straight, I had no favorite products cause I used anything I wanted but Ecostyler gel(pink) was my bff!

I've got super short hair, and I use Paul Mitchell Dry Wax when I want to style it. I have very straight hair, but my 13yo is having her hair cut short today (it's shoulder length now) and she has wavy hair. This helped me to see what it might look like! Thanks :)

Looks fantastic! When I got my hair cut I only had about 1-2 inches of length all around. Some advice would be to make sure to use a lot less styling product than you think you need! XD Nothing like having greasy hair that never dries.Also make sure that you manipulate the part or top of your hair otherwise it might become too much of a party on top ;) Again looks amazing and enjoy it!!
