Tnx for the inspiring words my dear 💖... actually we almost have similar pixie cut right now ...& Almost people around me telling me that I look like a boy😂🤣 Can u suggest how to style a pixie haircut ?
I was afraid that my pixie cut would look awful on me because I have a very round face, but it actually suits me a whole lot better than long hair ever did.
I had long hair to my shoulder and then I did a pixie cut in Oct 2020 it is growing out.. now in May is all over the place and I regret it. People loved it but me I was depress. Is good to change up. Anyway, to make me feel better I dyed it blonde and is growing out as a short bob later as it grows out I will do a lob angle bob.
Last time I cut my hair was because it was hot, about 10:30 pm and I suddenly wanted a haircut. I grabbed my hair shears and chopped it all off 💇🏽♀️ It looked great, I’m good at cutting my own hair but I definitely did it on an impulse.
@@socialanxiety9153 actually, since i last wrote that comment i got my hair cut! ever since ive felt so much better and more confident. i even get mistaken for a male a lot now! do it!!
Im 26, had long hair my whole life, and for the longest time I wanted to get a pixie . AND I DID. A month ago. Zero regrets. I had same insecurities, because im chubby in face, also watched Brad Mondo's video to decide which face shape I have, but actually I decided to go with one I like the most and it turned out great. And after a month of getting it I figured some changes and twerking it up a bit. Honestly, its a hole new world, because I always just tied my hair in pony tail, and didn't do much with it, but now I actually have more inspiration and more energy to try all kinds of fun stuff with it. It opened up my face, made it look thinner, and I feel a whole bunch more confident. If you are strugling with yourself and worrying too much, just do it! And in the end, if you don't like it, it will grow back! But for me, honestly, it was one of best decisions in my life (in aspect of looks)
@@srimayeebanerjee2089 please, don't be, mine is also, and pixie with side bangs made it look thinner and made it look longer. Heck, if you are so scared i can dm you my photos before and after so you can see for yourself!
@@srimayeebanerjee2089 can you write my email adress somewhere because i would like to delete my comment, because i dont like to post my email somewhere public
i’ve been considering a pixie cut for awhile, the shortest i’ve ever went is to my shoulders but i’m considering a pixie because long hair (even just shoulder length hair) is so annoying at times and can be very hot and i hate that feeling so much
I REALLY needed that advice about the face shape. I’m very self conscious about having a round face shape and I’ve been wanting a pixie cut for like half a year but I keep thinking that it might make my face look rounder. You made me decide to take the plunge and not care about that!
It’s 29 more days until I chop off 28 inches of my hair into a pixie cut, and after watching this I am even more excited!! (I’ll be donating my hair as well)
I love that you are donating, that is a wonderful thing to do with hair that would normally just be thrown in the trash. You could really help someone and that is so kind! 💕
Just wanted to say THANK YOU! I just got my pixie (looks a lot like your first pixie cut) and wow I feel great! Girls, we have to stop thinking about pleasing others and do what makes us feel great! So liberating honestly. :)
I'm going to the hair salon tomorrow before my grad pics, and I'm really tossed up about if I want a pixie or not! I've been dreaming of it for years but it's still so scary to take the leap. This video was helpful thank you!!
Didn't expect "society being short hair is for boys" coming from a foreigner. I thought that it's mostly here in India. I got mine in feb. Did it myself and loved it. You are so sweet 💕
oh no it's like that all around the world. I'm from Europe (Austria) and my mum was freaking out when I got a bob cut. She told me I looked like a boy. It's so sad D:
I used to think I looked terrible with a pixie cut, but after I had my baby I tried the pixie cut again and now I LOVE how I look. And I get so many compliments. I cut it because I was sick of brushing it out of my face when I was busy caring for my baby.
I just gave myself a pixie cut and the back feels SO uneven but * I * feel amazing Its so fun!!! And dries sooooo quickly, I’ve missed having short hair so much ☺️
i’m non binary (assigned female at birth) and i feel very dysphoric about my hair. all i want is to cut it off and have it like yours!! sadly my dad is very traditional and i don’t think he would be okay with it, but i might try to bring it up with him either way. thank you for motivating me. have a great day
I don't know if this is helpful but my family is very traditional what helped me get shorter hair and more masculine clothes was to explain what I wanted/felt like without using any buzz words like nonbinary or masc presenting. I know this isn't ideal but it helped me get what I needed to feel good about myself and have them not through a big hissy fit about it. i hope that helps a lil bit
Mines are. They didn't like it. But I told them they will get used to it and hair will grow. Do this if you over 18 because you can bring up that you're an adult by law and you can do whatever the f you want and they can't do anything to you.
Maybe try cutting it gradually. My mom was against my pixie. On highschool my hair would be mid-long (like 4 inch below my shoulders). To make it less shocking, I started using my hair short but not pixie (like Dora the explorer haircut), and wouldn't leave it longer than that. Through time I started cutting it shorter and shorter, turned into a long pixe (asimetric, so one side would still look "long" while the other was super short) so by the time I cut it with a short pixie, it was easier for her to digets it. That, plus I used all that time to make the "short hair" conversation and open up her mind. At the end she end up cutting her hairs into a pixie as well. I'm actually grateful because it allowed us to speak about prejudice and stereotypes. It helped my mom a lot. Later on she got sick and lost all her hair, but she no longer saw her beauty in her hair, but understood beauty is whatever makes you love yourself. She was very brave while loosing her hair (even eyelashes) and I admire her for that. I got out of the topic, but hope my advice can help you.
im genderfluid (afab aswell) and im not out to my parents but they're down for me to get shorter hair diffrent situation for sure, theyre more accepting and less traditional so i hope it gives you some confidence if you havent managed to ask yet!
I got mine because of my love for Jean Seberg and Audrey Hepburn. With longer hair I did a lot of complicated vintage hairstyles and it was just too high maintenance. Now I feel so much lighter and the maintenance matches my lifestyle much better. And I still have a cute 1950s look :)
hii, i have a rlly weird hair texture like it's curly but it's wavy but it's not, and a pixie cut rlly helped it stay in a great shape! do it do it do it!
For me personally, I've been wanting to do it for 4 years and I've reached a point where I feel like i'd regret not getting a pixie cut more than i'd regret getting one. Yea I may hate it at first, I hate my hair for a couple of days whenever I cut it. Then I wash it, get used to it and it's fine. It will grow back very fast and although it's kind of terrifying, it's just hair. I want to be able to look back on my life and be like "wow i remember I really wanted to cut all my hair off when I was a teenager and I DID IT" i don't want to be an old woman who never did it and is sad I just stayed in my comfort zone. So if you want to do it, do it. It'll grow back if you hate it. You'll never know how you'll feel about it if you don't try.
I have been contemplating getting a pixie cut for months now and tonight, after watching this video, I gathered the courage to give myself one and I am so happy and feel so confident with it!! Thank you for this video :')
Thank you so much for the advice. I was planning to get a pixie cut in the future, been scared that I might get judge for cutting my hair short. But then I watch this video, it make me feel better about myself thanks a lot :)
Thank you so much 🥺💕 I'm so glad I got to help! I was also scared of being judged but everyone ended up being super supportive. Your comment made my day, I appreciate it 🥺🥺
Jamie is the only one that’s keeping me going until my hair appointment on Saturday! I really hope my pixie cut looks good, my mullet was cute but I’m ready for something shorter!
I got a pixie cut 4-5 months ago and I'm in love with it! Although I miss my long hair (wasn't even thaaat long), having a pixie cut it just blew off my mind. I can feel my hair healthier, brighter, stronger than before. Fixing in the mornings is a real struggle because my hair is thick and with a lot of volume😂🙂 but I definitely recommend it. Regardless what other people would say, do it! You will feel the relief later❤️
Had a pixie cut today! Thank you so much for encouraging me. I've been thinking about this for how many months, and thank God I finally did it! It feels so nice and light ❤
getting a pixie in literally a half hour i am so nervous and here to hype myself up eeeeeeeeeeee edit: I DID IT AND I LOVE IT SO MUCH OMG if you're contemplating getting one, GO FOR IT!
If you don't like it, then you can grow it. Old dead hair is not a good look. It's so not worth worrying about it. Just say, I am alive, and I want the best hairdresser to give me the proper haircutting experienced nice person here. Fears I have put down are fears. If you want that hairdresser you can afford the hairdresser then, having the experience, will be a nice one. Wake up sleep eat care about yourself, you are alive and you want to feel confident. Even if you dread it. You say, I am nervous. And then the hairdresser, will just say, do you want to sit over in the corner away from a mirror or whatever. She or he will be very kind. I hate the fear too. But remember to breathe and you say I can't speak yet. If at all. Then you will be feeling better than hiding your normal human emotions. Have a cup of tea. Go out for a breather, etc. Read this. Don't try to explain yourself. A nice friendly hair dresser is going to make you feel at ease. Just hate the mirrors in salons me. I just go. Righto. And say, a lot of blabbering crap. It's a comedy situation and it will be over and you can get back home alive. Self esteem raising backup a wobbling bottle of vodka 😂Only joking...I think. It's not the dentist. It's a love bunny place. Full of happiness and joy and lovely lovely gorgeous you will be so amazed that you had, as Jimi Hendrix said, been experienced. 😂❤❤❤
It takes guts to be a woman. We can make it. Old ladies go there every week and they love it to just get out the house, and these older ladies are salty old sea dogs at these salons. A perm a blue or pink rinse, and a bus down the bingo Hall. They don't flinch. So funny.😂 sit there listening to all their blabbering rubbish about Elsie's varicose veins, and Old Stan who had a dizzy spell after a full quadruple by pass in the precinct or shopping centre. A joke book take that and lots of photos. Old ladies are hardened hairdressing salon regular junkies, they love it, they can't get enough of it. Then out comes their pack a macks, a hair covering of some plastic and whoops of they go swinging their hand bag oblivious to any weather conditions with that determined face. Lol! 😂
If our old Sadly missed Queen can do it, and she could and did, then she didn't have long hair but she bagged that handsome Corfuian Lad! Be Elsie or Edna Or Gertie, Or Bertie Or Frank Or Jim, Or The Duchess of Kent. OR watch a comedy show you love. Ignore everyone. Tell your family to shut up. Or do it like an adventure or mission. Think I'm being really a totally determined bitch today. I don't care about all this. I'm off for a great big party time. Politic correctness out the bloody window. Let's go for because I'm worth it. Kiss the mirror on your way out and say, I looovve you, you gorgeous Emma. You just get better looking every day! Grin and know it.
watched this before thinking about getting a pixie cut and now I've had a pixie cut for almost 6 months. I've never felt better about myself before thanku for motivating me to do it 💕
Omg girl you helped me. I wanna get a pixie cut and I wasn't sure how'd I look because of my face shape and my skin tone. BUT you boosted me like I'm ready now. lol thank you (Also I love your outro) :D
I'm in ED treatment right now and I wanted a pixie to cut off all my dead, dry un-nourished hair and let my new healthy growth really shine, but I was so worried about how it would look with my fAcE sHaPe. Your encouragement and positivity made me feel so much better and I feel very excited about getting my haircut now.
Wow. You earned my respect for being honest and open. Thank you for this vid! ❤ Also, I prefer a longer length for you like a bixie or a bob, but look at how beautiful you are overall. You have a significantly feminine voice too and the way you speak and handle yourself is so dainty, which I love, and didn’t think you’d speak about on this video. I admire you and your perspective on different challenges. I’m proud of you, girl. ❤
(Even if this is an old video I just want to say ) Thanks for the advice! My mom's negative reactions and nitpicking to my pixie cut has really downed my mood about my decision when in the beginning my confidence and happiness was in the roof after my haircut and looking at myself in the mirror. Your words really helped me to know that what my mom thinks doesn't matter as long as I am happy with it, she's my negative societal pressure.
gurl i love you so much for this video, just got a pixie cut and tbh im a lil bit insecure because i used to have a very long hair. But this video really motivates me to be more confident and most importantly… self love!!
I finally realised, after 21 years of my life and a whole pandemic, that I‘m living for myself and not for others. I didn‘t want to live the cliché that „women have to have beautiful long hair“ anymore, I didn‘t want to „please men“ by having long hair anymore, and I didn‘t want to hear anymore that „short hair will make me look like a boy“. So I just got the pixie. And I almost never style it, I just let it fuzz around and I LOVE it. I am a person that doesn‘t like to spend time on hair care and just does a lot of things where long hair gets in the way, so the pixie cut was just the most practical thing to do. And if I want to style it, i can always do a elegant sleek look, or do some curls or something, I always find something that suits the outfit. And she is right though, my pixie also made my face slimmer!
I’ve been always thinking about getting a pixie cut! This really helped encourage me into not regretting one. I’ve been afraid of looking like a Q-tip. Love from America 🇺🇸 ❤.
I’ve wanted my hair cut into a pixie cut for so long (to like ear height) and I’m finally getting it after months of waiting in lockdown. Can’t wait for Friday
Thank you so much for this video!! I already made an appointment at the hair salon a week ago for tomorrow and now I suddenly felt really insecure about how I will look with a pixie cut. I wanted to get a pixie so bad for so long, so this gave me the confidence boost I needed to finally make the step tomorrow edit: I got the pixie cut and I love it!! I feel so much prettier now than with my shoulder-length hair. Thank you for the encouragement!
I got a pixie cut around 3 months ago and for the first couple days I loved it! Then the rest of the time I went on and off from loving it to being so insecure about what other people would say about me with it and if I looked to boy like. But as someone who has anxiety and is insecure I just wanted to point out we all get passed this and if we don’t like our hair cut we can obviously grow it out. It won’t be as fast as cutting it but hair we’ll always grow back. I heard something really inspiring as well that said “If you like your hair it does not matter what other people think about it.” I’m not the biggest fan of my pixie cut but when I look at other people with pixie cuts it motivates me and reminds me other people have pixie cuts as well it’s not just me. So if you guys are insecure about your pixie about what other people we’ll say just remind yourself if you like your pixie or your hairstyle then it does not matter what other people think as hard as that may be with insecurities and anxiety. Girls and women are so strong and a pixie cut just proves that we don’t care what other people say! So block out the haters you got this
I donate my hair a lot and I've always wanted really short hair but I was never allowed, I am now allowed to get a pixie in 2 weeks and I am so excited! I really dislike long hair and it's a lot to handle, all hair is, but atleast I won't have to learn how to tie my hair! Thank you for this video! It has definitely made me feel more sure about this!
I wanted a boy cut (I call it that) from such a longggg time. I convinced my mom for it but then I got soooo worried. About many stuff. But girl youu!! You are my true inspiration. I am getting it in 3 days. I have round face with kinda chubby cheeks so it became really harder cause everyone online said that I would look awful in a pixie cut. I'm in high school so there was quite a lot of stress about being judged and if I take the wrong decision. I believe short hair give you freedom! That's like one of the reasons I want it to. I know many people would judge me for not being feminine! I'm still a little worried. But guess what? Your girl is definitely getting it because it's my life babyy. And you've inspired and encouraged me sooooo much!❤️🌷
You look great 😗 I went from a Bob to a longish pixie cut and it has grown so quickly that I now want a shorter pixie cut.💕 Thanks for the encouragement 😊 Love from Australia 🐨🇦🇺💕
I cut my hear a month or two ago and I watched this just before taking the final step of taking the appointment at the hairdresser, and it reassured me a lot. Now I have my haircut, I LOVE it so thank you 💕
I hate my hair when it’s long ( I call it long if it reaches my shoulders XD) and my hairstyle was always a bob, only because I felt so unsure about pixie, which I always wanted, but never had the courage to try. Finally I decided to get a pixie haircut tomorrow. You helped my a lot, thanks!❤️ (Sorry for my bad English)
Same! I actually shaved my head in 2019, but because I did it on impulse, I regretted it. But I’ve been really thinking about a pixie cut and I really want it!
i should've watched this video before getting a pixie cut but I'm still SOOO in love with my hair rn LMAO. yknow, as a woman, long hair is often associated with feminity and I initially went through the thought process: "nobody will find me attractive with short hair" "no one will have a crush on me". i was also very worried about my round face but in the end, i did it. and i feel more confident than ever. i went from wanting to smash every mirror in the house to falling in love with myself every time i see my reflection. it was SO worth it and i don't want to impress anyone else. I'm content with my hair, and that's enough. :)
shouldve mentioned that i really identify as nb but I'm not outing myself to anyone yet HAHHAHSDH i meant as expected of someone who is perceived as a woman** i guess
Love this video your hair is so great by the way, another thing about face shape to remember is that men have all types of face shapes and yet many of them will still have short hair without being made to worry about it!
I want a pixie cut and now eager to get it, I don't do anything with my hair, haven't done it myself for years, only put in a ponytail just sitting there everyday. I don't even want to learn how to do my hair, NEVER been interested in being so girly, I'm weird and want to look a bit more masculine but girly a bit. I've gotten comments from a family member that I was happy to hear that a pixie cut would actually look nice. Honestly the way I pretty much want my hair is like yours. It suits you. That's just my thought and I feel confident and glad I'm not alone in this situation. ❤
Oh gosh your video gave me so much peace!! Thank you, i accidentally cut my hair by my own a lot!! So i had to go quickly with my hairdresser and show her my disaster, so she decided to fixed it with a pixie haircut. I was feeling sad because i felt that i was not femenine at all and that i looked like a boy. But know i feel so much better thanks to you! ❤🥹
Thanks for this video. I've wanted short hair for a very long time, but my friends and partner have always told me my face is too fat/round for it. You have given me courage - thank you!
I’ve been wanting to cut my hair short for almost a year and lately it’s been a really big want. My hair makes me dysphoric, and it’s a lot to manage for something I don’t care for. This video makes me feel like I’ll actually do it this time, as I’ve thought this through before but chickened out, but this video makes me want to actually just do it. I don’t think I’ll regret it. Hopefully I can do it soon or at least find a hairstyle that I like:))
Here is why I got my pixie:) so I never felt pretty with my hair long and down. So I wore it up literally almost everyday for 7 years. I wasn’t happy with my hair, never was. Something just wasn’t right. When I got to my junior year of high school, I started looking up pixie cuts. Actresses that had them like Emma Watson, and Anne Hathaway. I wanted it, but knew I wouldn’t have the courage to during high school. So about 8 months after I graduated I was so tired of my hair. I told my friend I wanted it cut and she said let’s go right away. So I did and I kept second guessing myself the whole way there, but my friend told me I could do it and reassured me of everything. I have always cared so much what others thought so I was terrified of what people would think of me if I cut it so short. But here I am over a year later still with a pixie and I would never go back. I actually feel pretty and I do not care what anyone thinks about it. It’s my choice and no one can tell me how to have my hair. So if there’s anyone that is scared to get one... you’re not alone. But I promise you... you most likely won’t regret it:)
Glad I clicked on this vid. I am actually a plus sized girl and I have been contemplating for weeks if I shoud get a pixie cut. Still would think about it though until the end of this month but your words gave me a bit of a push. Hehe. Thank you! ❤❤❤
I happened to watch this video when I was super down and boom! This gave me a lot of courage to plan on having my pixie cut, again. Planning and preparing myself to a new feeling for one year + your vid of encouragement = total worth it!!!! I love it i love itt. I got my haircut yesterdayyyy! It's kind of a dream that I don't have this long hair I'm flipping away 🤣🤣 I'm planning to try different haircuts soon. Yayyy thank u! 💙✨
heyyy you're so fun to listen to! Amazing talk! Like I HAD to comment because not many people can get me listening for long (adhd hehe) but you did from start to finish. Basically just GREAT JOB girl so happy to find your channel
Knowing that your hair was also super poofy and curly just like mine, it made my confidence go way up to get a pixie!! The pic looks exactly like my hair right now
I never dressed girly till the day I went to have my long hair cut super short. I bought skirts and dresses, earrings and had a lot of makeup on before I sat in that hairdressers chair. I didn't want to leave the salon looking like a twelve year old boy. And that's how I like to dress now. Super girly with super short hair, which I consider ultra feminine
I’m so happy she addressed being afraid of looking masculine. I’m so afraid of people judging me for my hair. I actually went to go get my pixie hair cut, I had built up all that courage, and was sorely disappointed. Im afraid that since I’m a young girl, the person cutting my hair misunderstood me and thought that if I cut my hair as a pixie cut I would cry, have regrets, etc. They cut my hair, but it was still way longer than I had really wanted it. It honestly wasn’t even a little bit close to the reference photos I had shown them. The layers weren’t correct, it was still at shoulder length (I wanted it to be about eyebrow length if that makes sense, lol) and it looked like a weird wolf cut.
Yooo thank you for the tip on throwing the hair up and flipping the pony tail to see what you'll look like. I'm finally going to chop mine off this year and get my first pixie. 30 years of long hair...can't wait...!!
First of all, I freaking love your accent. Secondly though, I got my first pixie cut when I was 16. I'm currently 27 and have had different types of pixie cuts for 11 years. I will never go back. Currently, I have a full-on undercut where my top is about 6 inches long and the sides/back is about 1 inch long. And that's only because I want enough length to go back to a traditional pixie cut!!! I LOVE THEM!!!
I’m getting a pixie cut because I have a auto immune disorder and with as many surgeries as I’ve had and the medicine I’m on I lose so much hair and when I’m hooked up to the machines it gets in the way and gets pulled on, I’m just ready to get my confidence back and be happy with myself and if cutting my hair is the way then so be it! 🥺😊
I’ve been wondering if I should get a hairstyle change for a while and I think this is definitely helping me feel more comfortable with the idea of getting a pixie cut! :)
My life long battle is having a pixie cut, then growing hair, then getting a pixie cut again. Repeat the cycle. But pixie suits me better than long hair, that’s why I never regret having it. The only thing with it… it just gets boring after few years. Anyway I think I’ll stick to pixie.
I honestly don't really know if a pixie cut is the right kind of haircut for my face shape but I feel way more comfortable in short hair. I went from really long to a pixie cut today after seeing this video and I've felt so cute the whole day ahhh
Thanks for this video! I got a pixie cut a week ago and absolutely love it, but I was starting to get comments about looking like a boy. You spoke to my situation. Loving this new confidence!
i want my pixie cut so bad now omgg, you know what, thiis week i've started saying to people that i wanted a pixie cut, and everyone, litteraly EVERYONE exept my 2 bestfriends said that it will look bad on me, weird, too tomboy, yk they were so mean, so i kinda started thinking to not get it but now you reconvinced me!!! love you, thanks!!!
I do think you should do research or look around on the pixie cut you want to get because everyone has different hair and one style of may not look good or right because it's on a straight haired girl. Personally that's what I did a loooong while back and it helps (recently got a shorter pixie again, I have curly thick hair). But yes, I agree you should think about it and love yourself 😊. Definitely do it for the right reasons and because you're ready!
@@anairanyzapata3323 is it not showing the link? Go to Google and type Kara's closet pixie tile walls. It should be the first picture of her with a white long sleeve and sunglasses. That's the pixie I always use 🙂. She also has almost a bob in her website ( I basically always reference her photos).
I used t have a pixie for about 2 years around 2017- late 2018! I got trims in between them. But I missed my long hair. So I’ve been growing it out since around 2019, and now my hair is at the top of my chest . I love it! But I admire anyone who has a pixie cut they’re so beautiful
I've had a pixie hair for years now, can't remember the exact year but it was the best decision ever. I have a pixie cut but also shaved sides. I don't care if i look like a boy or not. People can tell I am a girl. Pixie really suits you. My hair is too thin and flat. I love volume. It's so much easier to look after. So easy to style it. I recommend it to everyone.
hii jamie! its bee a year since i cut my hair and i feel very low because i don't see much women here in PH encouraging me of my decision. your videos help me navigate thru these emotions of chopping my hair off (seeing the comment sections literally made me smiile cuz i know im not alone) p.s you look so gorgeous and confident too! i love these tips might stay with this style for a couple while
I loved watching this. I got my first pixie cut like 4 years ago and my family wasn't super happy about it because of it being to "masculine" so I've grown it out to just below my shoulders however I remember the relief and the happiness I felt having short hair so I'm ready to do it again and I'm going the chop once again this Wednesday!
I got mine in last end of the october. I was suuuuuper happy about it I was checking my hair every 5 minutes and loved the hair I got. I felt much prettier after getting it. Tho now its reaching my shoulders when I straighten it I am planning to get it again. I also got my hair cut because my hair was so damaged. My hair is so healthy and shiny now. I think before getting it you should first think positive about it, imagine yourself carrying that hell of a hair style, walking confident and not caring what anyone thinks. I am sure you will rock it
Hello! If you have any questions or video suggestions please feel free to leave them in the replies! 💕
I love this video and my video suggestion is to do a morning hair routine < 3
Oooo I've actually been thinking about that! Thank you! 💕
Have you tried finger waves? I think you'd look gorgeus and maybe you could do a video about them?
I've never tried finger waves before! Do you have any tips?
Tnx for the inspiring words my dear 💖... actually we almost have similar pixie cut right now ...& Almost people around me telling me that I look like a boy😂🤣

That gives me so much Motivation because i also have an rounded face and im unsure but now i feel a bit better

Last time I cut my hair was because it was hot, about 10:30 pm and I suddenly wanted a haircut. I grabbed my hair shears and chopped it all off 💇🏽♀️ It looked great, I’m good at cutting my own hair but I definitely did it on an impulse.
lol 😂😂
Ive been want to get a pixie but its SOOOO hard to find a reference image that is not a Karen
I felt that hahaha 😂 I found good pictures on pinterest that don't look like the Karen haircut. Here's the link pin.it/7Eo4CBR
Search for curtain hairstyles,i might help you
if you look up 'non bianary haircut' it shows alot of basically pixie cuts that arent all karens
Also you can search for japanese pixie cuts

I’m so excited to get a masculine haircut!
I started to hate my longer hair recently and I want so badly to get rid of it.
@@socialanxiety9153 actually, since i last wrote that comment i got my hair cut! ever since ive felt so much better and more confident. i even get mistaken for a male a lot now! do it!!
Im getting my haircut in 5
Minutes and I’m happy but really nervous-
EDIT I GOT THE CUT AND ITS SO CUTE I FEEL SO COOL RN 💀
YAY IM SO HAPPY FOR U
YASS I bet you look soooo good!!! SLAY THAT CUT!
Excellent!! 💟
Yes, yes, yes! I agree with everything you said 👏🏼👏🏼
Even my face is round. I m scared of pixie cut
@@srimayeebanerjee2089 please, don't be, mine is also, and pixie with side bangs made it look thinner and made it look longer. Heck, if you are so scared i can dm you my photos before and after so you can see for yourself!
I would love to see your face if u dnt mind. I am just tired of my shoulder length hair nd also scared of pixie thinking what will people say.
@@srimayeebanerjee2089 can you write my email adress somewhere because i would like to delete my comment, because i dont like to post my email somewhere public
i’ve been considering a pixie cut for awhile, the shortest i’ve ever went is to my shoulders but i’m considering a pixie because long hair (even just shoulder length hair) is so annoying at times and can be very hot and i hate that feeling so much
Samee
Yeah, ikr?Apparently hair doesn’t make you hot but lol that’s a lie.
Not a lie I work outside and it gets very hot!!!!
I REALLY needed that advice about the face shape. I’m very self conscious about having a round face shape and I’ve been wanting a pixie cut for like half a year but I keep thinking that it might make my face look rounder. You made me decide to take the plunge and not care about that!
You got this!
Hey,
I literally read this comment and went for a haircut straightaway.
I have zero regrets and 100/100 confidence now
It’s 29 more days until I chop off 28 inches of my hair into a pixie cut, and after watching this I am even more excited!! (I’ll be donating my hair as well)
I love that you are donating, that is a wonderful thing to do with hair that would normally just be thrown in the trash. You could really help someone and that is so kind! 💕
How you like ur look now?
Just wanted to say THANK YOU! I just got my pixie (looks a lot like your first pixie cut) and wow I feel great! Girls, we have to stop thinking about pleasing others and do what makes us feel great! So liberating honestly. :)
exactly! and you're welcome 😌
finally got my pixie yesterday and damn it felt good. do what makes you happy guys it really makes you twice as happy 🥰
I'm going to the hair salon tomorrow before my grad pics, and I'm really tossed up about if I want a pixie or not! I've been dreaming of it for years but it's still so scary to take the leap. This video was helpful thank you!!
Glad to help :] hope your grad pics turn out well! 💕
How u like the final result?
Didn't expect "society being short hair is for boys" coming from a foreigner. I thought that it's mostly here in India. I got mine in feb. Did it myself and loved it. You are so sweet 💕
video link ? of the haircut tutorial💗
oh no it's like that all around the world. I'm from Europe (Austria) and my mum was freaking out when I got a bob cut. She told me I looked like a boy. It's so sad D:
In most cultures they expect women to have long hair. In India people act like cutting off your long hair is a tragedy 🙄
I used to think I looked terrible with a pixie cut, but after I had my baby I tried the pixie cut again and now I LOVE how I look. And I get so many compliments. I cut it because I was sick of brushing it out of my face when I was busy caring for my baby.
I just gave myself a pixie cut and the back feels SO uneven but * I * feel amazing
Its so fun!!! And dries sooooo quickly, I’ve missed having short hair so much ☺️
You're so brave for cutting your own hair 😭 glad you're enjoying your pixie!
You can go to a parlour to trim the uneven areas
i’m non binary (assigned female at birth) and i feel very dysphoric about my hair. all i want is to cut it off and have it like yours!! sadly my dad is very traditional and i don’t think he would be okay with it, but i might try to bring it up with him either way. thank you for motivating me. have a great day
I don't know if this is helpful but my family is very traditional what helped me get shorter hair and more masculine clothes was to explain what I wanted/felt like without using any buzz words like nonbinary or masc presenting. I know this isn't ideal but it helped me get what I needed to feel good about myself and have them not through a big hissy fit about it. i hope that helps a lil bit
Omg same
I got out of the topic, but hope my advice can help you.
im genderfluid (afab aswell) and im not out to my parents but they're down for me to get shorter hair
diffrent situation for sure, theyre more accepting and less traditional so i hope it gives you some confidence if you havent managed to ask yet!
closeted enby here! just got my haircut and have already had 3 mental breakdowns over my hair and this really helped!
I just cut my hair yesterday and tbh I think I made the best decision ever in my life 😌..
This is exactly what I needed to hear. I’m making this leap, knowing that every time I’ve cut my hair shorter than before it’s made me happier :)
I have a wavy and frizzy hair, but I still want to have a pixie cut after our grad pic! Hope it will turn out good, thank u for this vid! ❤
hii, i have a rlly weird hair texture like it's curly but it's wavy but it's not, and a pixie cut rlly helped it stay in a great shape! do it do it do it!
@@okshe6467 girl thanks to you I got a pixie and now I'm feeling like my fucking self for the first fucking time, THANKS.
I love it so much how you say any face shapes will rock a pixie cut and don't worry about chubby cheeks. THANKS SO MUCH AAAAAAAAAA
It feels so nice and light ❤
getting a pixie in literally a half hour i am so nervous and here to hype myself up eeeeeeeeeeee
edit: I DID IT AND I LOVE IT SO MUCH OMG
if you're contemplating getting one, GO FOR IT!
Yo i really wanna get a pixie cut but I'm afraid that others won't like it, I'm not even sure that i will like it..What should i do?
I've never felt better about myself before thanku for motivating me to do it 💕
I love that for you!! So happy to help💕
(Even if this is an old video I just want to say )
Thanks for the advice!
You got this!
I've heard many things about pixie cuts but never the Q-tip one 😭 anyway, I wish you the best on your hair journey! Much love 💕
bruh you're my favorite youtuber now, i'm also gonna get a pixie cut like yours it's so cute
I wanted to get a pixie so bad for so long, so this gave me the confidence boost I needed to finally make the step tomorrow
edit: I got the pixie cut and I love it!! I feel so much prettier now than with my shoulder-length hair. Thank you for the encouragement!
Jamie, you are so adorable! You seem like such a genuinely lovely person. Also, your pixie suits you very well.
Aww thank you! This gave me the serotonin I needed today

And you've inspired and encouraged me sooooo much!❤️🌷
this video was the confidence booster i needed after FINALLY getting THAT PIXIE
You look great 😗 I went from a Bob to a longish pixie cut and it has grown so quickly that I now want a shorter pixie cut.💕 Thanks for the encouragement 😊 Love from Australia 🐨🇦🇺💕
Girl you are so wise beyond your years!
You helped my a lot, thanks!❤️
(Sorry for my bad English)
Same! I actually shaved my head in 2019, but because I did it on impulse, I regretted it. But I’ve been really thinking about a pixie cut and I really want it!
You are so sweet and explain things so carefully! Thank you for this ♥️
i should've watched this video before getting a pixie cut but I'm still SOOO in love with my hair rn LMAO. yknow, as a woman, long hair is often associated with feminity and I initially went through the thought process: "nobody will find me attractive with short hair" "no one will have a crush on me". i was also very worried about my round face but in the end, i did it. and i feel more confident than ever. i went from wanting to smash every mirror in the house to falling in love with myself every time i see my reflection. it was SO worth it and i don't want to impress anyone else. I'm content with my hair, and that's enough. :)
shouldve mentioned that i really identify as nb but I'm not outing myself to anyone yet HAHHAHSDH i meant as expected of someone who is perceived as a woman** i guess
I'm getting my pixie tomorrow and I'm so nervous, but also so excited because I had it done before and it was bomb ❤️ thx for the amazing video
This was very helpful and exactly what I was looking for! I'm planning on getting a pixie cut soon and I now I feel a lot more confident ^w^
I'm glad the video helped! :D
Love this video your hair is so great by the way, another thing about face shape to remember is that men have all types of face shapes and yet many of them will still have short hair without being made to worry about it!
youre so so charismatic and lovely to watch!!! great video!
I'm going to the salon in a couple days and this is helping me not to overthink so thank you! I'm so nervousssss
I just got mine today, the confidence boost it gives you is through the roof👏🏼😭✨👑 don't think about whether to do it or not, JUST DO IT X

aight thanks for the reminder
Wish you all the best!
had my haircut today and miss ma'am, i loved it. thank you so much! ✨
That's great to hear! 💕 You're welcome 😌
Hehe. Thank you! ❤❤❤
I found someone (looking gorgeous) with my exact face shape wearing a pixie cut and that's why I want it now.
Why I fell in love with the way of your talking 🥲🌱 And your hair suits you so so fine , like... girl, are u pixie cut Goddes or something ? 😭🤎

Oh my gosh, that means a lot to me. Thank you so much! 🥺🥰
i honestly feel better having a pixie than having a bob cut 😭😭 I'll go get a pixie for sureee
Thank you. You really answered my prayers with your comment😊
I got the pixie cut and that's the best haircut ever. Never regret✌
Thanks Jaime! I feel like I was getting advice from an encouraging friend ♥️
okay I love this video, you made me feel better about my shirt hair
If getting the pixie will make you feel more comfortable, then go for it! Stay strongggg 🥺💕
How did it go did you like the cut? I have RA autoimmune disease and for me it hurts so much to comb and my hair gets tangled so much ..
I really love my pixie short hair now ...make me feel awesome 🥰
I love this vid! I thought I'll just gonna watch about pixie cut but I got self-love motivations
You inspired me to get a pixie cut, and it was the best decision I think I’ve ever made.
So happy for you!!
You look very pretty and I love your hair. Thank you for this information. Can’t wait to get mine
I’ve wanted a pixie cut for a couple of years now,I’m just waiting till I graduate from school.(They’re kinda judgmental). Thanks for the advice :)

What type of pixie cut did you get? I also have thick curly hair not frizzy though
@@anairanyzapata3323 figured out how to send the link directly to the photo lol
@@BunNessa_Art how?
@@anairanyzapata3323 is it not showing the link? Go to Google and type Kara's closet pixie tile walls. It should be the first picture of her with a white long sleeve and sunglasses. That's the pixie I always use 🙂. She also has almost a bob in her website ( I basically always reference her photos).
@@BunNessa_Art thanks! :))
You’re so adorable! I love your hair.
Thank u! :D
I recommend it to everyone.
hii jamie! its bee a year since i cut my hair and i feel very low because i don't see much women here in PH encouraging me of my decision. your videos help me navigate thru these emotions of chopping my hair off (seeing the comment sections literally made me smiile cuz i know im not alone) p.s you look so gorgeous and confident too! i love these tips might stay with this style for a couple while
I totally get you! This is why I make these videos, so that people with pixie cuts won't feel alone. 💕 Thank you btw, that means a lot 🥺
I am sure you will rock it
absolutely! thinking positive about it before doing anything to your appearance should always be the first step. well said 👏🏻
@@keepdreamingjamie thank you m'lady
I got my pixie two weeks ago and I absolutely love it!
