    Fun fact : Czech Republic is famous for tennis, particularly female players 😄😄😄😄
    Czech Martina Navratilova has been statistically the second-best female player of the 20th century, right behind Steffi Graf. Today, there are 8 female Czech players in the top 100 world rankings. The Czech Fed Cup team has also won six Fed Cup titles since 2011.

    I like the video and the subject about Christmas.
    I like the text in Czech and in English. It helps to understand the conversation.
    Nevertheless, as I am trying to learn Czech you talk too quickly to me.
    Not only in this video but in the others too. Please try to speak more slow Czech...

      I also find it fast, but in the settings of the video I decreased the speed to 0.75 :)

      The tourists are home/sheltering from COVID.
      But yes, Prague is remarkably quiet for a capital city. I love it.

      Prawda. Chyba ciut bardziej wyluzowani. Słowacy są za to mniej wyluzowani od Czechów (poziom Polaków) ale milsi i bardziej uprzejmi niż Polacy - taka grzeczniejsza wersja Polaków. :-)

    Can you tell us what country the girl who says she doesn’t celebrate Christmas, comes from?

    • @davidburda1280

      Her accent sounds Russian (or Ukrainian/Belarusian) to me. In those countries they do celebrate Christmas, but in January. I suppose what she meant is that she does not celebrate it on the 24th (and 25th and 26th which are also public holidays here in Czechia).

      @@davidburda1280 Most people in Russia or Ukraine (but not ion Belarus!!!!) do not celebrate Christmas at all, even 2 weeks later than Catholics oi protestants. It is the result of many years of communism in the hard core Soviet way. And yes, her accent was Russian.

    One European that says that in her country there are not Christmas traditions is impossible. She's lying.

      You'd be very surprised.
      Also, I guess what she meant is they don't really celebrate Christmas in December. She sounds Russian and Orthodox Christmas falls on 7 January.

    • @alh6255
      @alh6255 2 роки тому

      She must be Russian or Ukrainian one (and her accent is ether). After so many years of communism in the Soviet way, in Russia or Ukraine most people do not celebrate Christmas at all.
