Chanel Les Exclusifs Perfume Review - Beige & Gardénia

- In this video I review 2 of the Chanel Les Exclusifs line, Beige and Gardenia both current edp formulations. They are both floral perfumes but quite different. Have you tried these perfumes, do you have a favourite?
I bought Beige from EBay and the decant of Gardenia was purchased from a trusted person on a FB fragrance group.
About me - I'm Claire and I live in the UK. My taste in perfumes is usually quite sweet but not too sweet, I love white florals but not tuberose so much. I like gourmands as long as they smell like perfumes still, I require my perfumes to change a little bit as I wear them ie not linear. I don't enjoy oud, leather, cumin, saffron or strong patchouli however there can be occasions where I do like perfumes with these notes if they are not too dominant. I enjoy most florals as long as they are backed up with something sweet or perhaps resins / insense. I tend to not enjoy anything very soapy. I also don't really enjoy very green fragrances. I am averse to overdoses of ambroxan and iso E super (timbersilk or similar) just because I find it annoying! I have no problem with synthetics in perfumery but I do enjoy perfumes that have some notes that at least smell like they could be from nature. My favourite type of perfumery is indie and I love Francesca Bianchi, Teone Reinthal, 4160 Tuesdays and Papillon Artisan Perfumes.

Your focus, despite the drilling noises, was laser sharp throughout the video. Faltering not even once. Respect! 😅 Excellent and really helpful details. Gardenia sounds beautiful as a luxury bedtime scent. Beige sounds like a restrained beauty. Need to find decants of both. Super Dacob, another UA-camr recently talked about the Chanel Gardenia oil that’s been newly released, along with other Les Eclusifs body oils to match the perfumes. Maybe for lovers of Chanel’s Gardenia, and those willing to pay the price, the combo of oil and perfume may elongate the wear? Either way, thank you for your wonderful review and wear test. Hi Claire, I get about 4 to 5 hours with Beige. It is definitely stronger than Gardenia and has decent longevity as you mentioned By lunchtime, I need to respray, which is all right because I do enjoy spraying my fragrance in the afternoon. Gardenia however, has very poor longevity on my skin. It’s unfortunate because I really do think that it is a beautiful delicate and classy fragrance. But the longevity is just preventing me from buying a bottle. I guess I don’t love it that much after all. Lol.
Totally agree re Gardenia, I’d only buy it at a huge discount personally. Beige is so pretty!

Love the way you describe these fragrances!! Beige sounds beautiful! The other one I want to try is Coramandel. Misia is one that I struggle with. I think I really need to try wearing it now that the weather is warmer. ☀️🌻💛
I found Coromandel too patchouli heavy for my tastes though I haven’t revisited it in years so I should probably retest it. 💖
I have a bottle of Beige I haven’t opened yet, but after your review, I really must do it. I think I’ll skip Gardenia x

The drilling had me giggling sometimes. 🤭 I certainly know what it's like to experience that kind of timing. Needless to say, fantastic descriptions as always Claire. Shame about the longevity of Gardenia. We are perfume whores indeed! 😂 Die-hards, if you prefer. 😉 Hope you have a banging holiday. 🌅 And I mean that in the 25:18 sense! 🤣 Ps, yes, I do it. 🤫
