I really got the sense watching the end of this show that Eli is, in some ways, Destiny itself. He's sort of a microcosom of the whole show. Eli is the one with great potential, as is Destiny, as is the show itself. We leave the Destiny behind in that last shot because though it's journey will go on, for now we can follow it no further. Also, was I the only one who liked to think that Eli found a way to transfer his consciousness in the meantime into Destiny to be with Ginn?

As a 23 old guy who watched the entire franchise from its begining (except for the movie), all I can say is that it made me... well, cry, when this music started playing and I knew that Stargate was never coming back.
i rewatched the series. its amazing. best ive ever seen so far! i just hope it will come back in a couple of years. they cant just let it like this. i'd do almost everything to get it back
i Miss SGU sooo much as well.... I pray Netflix can save it before it is too late, and make a proper ending at the very least, with the same actors, if not for a 3rd season, then at least a movie.
I loved how it ended with a shot of Eli, it seemed fitting that the show end with eli as he was the one to get everyone to destiny. Beautiful song to end the series with :)
TOO SOON, IT ENDED TOO SOON, such a shame that the show lost so many ratings after, well, lost, if people had been willing to stick with it they would have found out it really builds on what was laid down in season 1. Overall the best show out of all stargates, and maybe the best of its time. Ride on Destiny
I'm on my 3rd or 4th time through SGU. The ending always gets me. Was such a great show, a more dramatic and serious Stargate, but I loved every episode of it. Sadly, like Firefly, it will be one of those shows that never got the chance to be all it could be.

I'm still waiting on the official soundtrack. This may end up like many other soundtracks that were involved with movies and TV shows in that it will go through the courts before it is ever released. BTW, check out the Wonders of The Universe soundtrack. It is in the same "element" as Joel Goldsmiths good work.
Still sucks that we never got official released soundtracks for SGU, even a pilot release from the 3 part pilot as that used to happen and it had some great themes. Surprised there was never a promo floating around out there, lots of shows now get a release per season digitally since it doesn’t cost printing cd’s
@Xiolarnl Actually that was only if they had enough power to sustain constant FTL if not it was bordering on either 300 or 3000 years (can't remember which)

After a few years (or 10 years?) every actor comes back and continue SGU. That would be fucking awesome! I hope that this dream/theory becomes as true as well. :) You need to consider, that they didn't release the soundtrack yet. Goldsmith promised that a year ago!
Jsem velký fanda celého Star Gate, lidi co znám mi říkali nekoukej se na SGU je humus! Ale už od prvního dílu mě SGU vellmi chytlo, první díl jsem viděl až 5let po vydání(smutné od fanouška Star Gate) Celé SGU je naprostá bomba až na ten "smutný" konec ze kterého jsem byl vždy velmi rozpačitý. Jaký máš názor na konec SGU ty ? DĚKUJI ZA TENTO BOŽÍ PLAYLIST"!!!!
SGU je z mého pohledu hodně jiný, než první dva seriály, takovej pokus o variaci na BSG v SG vesmíru. Za začátku podle mě pár dílů skřípalo, scénáristi hledali tu správnou cestu, což mohlo část fanoušků odradit a pak taky byla velká skupina lidí, která na to hejtila prostě jen kvůli tomu, že to bylo jiný, než SG1 a SGA. Já na SGU koukal rád, myslím, že se to pak slušně rozjelo a jsem rád, že zkusili něco novýho. Doteď mě mrzí, že to Syfy zrušilo, už jen protože se teď ten trend dramatických seriálů vrací (The Expanse)..a SGU mělo velkej potenciál. Na posledním díle se mi líbí to, že to aspoň neskončilo nějakým šíleným cliffhangerem, podobně jako první série, ale i když to byl otevřený konec, člověk si celkem snadno domyslí, jak to asi mohlo pokračovat. Je to škoda. A jsem moc rád, že se playlist líbí, hudba v SGU je super!
+Daniel Laštovička Ahoj, pochybuju. Joel Goldsmith bohužel zemřel a o SG se teď moc nemluví, tak to pro ně asi nebude mít cenu vydávat, což je škoda, je to super soundtrack.
Bohužel nebudou. Byl nový mini seriál, ten však stál za velký prd. Doufám ale v novou sérii nebo v pokračování SGU. Každopádně, SGU má pokračování v sérii komiksů #Back to Destiny.
