Now that all my scheduling notes have gotten dumped onto my cell phone- this will be the perfect use for my large wooden calendar frame!
    Thank you!

cute, i would double the foam board.

This is a cute idea, but wouldn't the skewers droop with time? Foam doesn't seem very stable. I wonder if it could be done with plywood and a drill? I bet it could!

this video is helpful but the skewers will drop out eventually so I suggest you use plywood and some nails. It can be decorated the same way and it would also be more reliable.

@Crunchy68 Yep. The key is to twist while inserting, rather than just trying to push it through. If you try to push it through forcefully, the pressure can bend the foam board. Have fun!

Ingenious!!!What a great idea for organizing threads. Any ideas for organizing yarn? I am basically a crocheter and I find that my yarn is forever getting tangled. I look forward to more of your creative solutions.

I don't crochet or knit, but I have friends who like to store their yarn skeins in empty baby wipe containers. Poke the yarn up through the center hole and you'll never lose the end. Also, if you liked this thread organizer, check out the one made from the side of a baby crib that's on my website :)

How did you support the foam board while pushing the skewers through? Did you just hold it up off the table with your hands?
