There is such overwhelming chaos surrounding us each day. If it were not for the peace within me, from the Father, the calm knowledge that I will never be alone again, the fear and uncertainty would be more than I could handle. Only by prayer and faith in His promises am I enabled to live each day with hope and joy. Only through the loving mercies of my savior. I just wonder, I really do, what God would do inside an entire country if the leaders in it would call on a modern day fast, figuratively clothe themselves in dust and ashes, and repent together as a nation.
I shared Luke 13 during my family devotion last night and the night before, here in Sydney Australia. Truly repenting before the Lord, we cannot do it on our own human achievements.

Watching from Australia! Your right I was looking for what John MacArthur would say about this topic. I needed direction and understanding and he didn’t disappoint. Amongst believers and unbelievers this topic has imploded and caused more division than I thought was even possible after the past few years. It was impressed on me by the Holy Spirit only a few days after October 7th that a sifting and separating is going on with this. I watched a Jewish man say “make no mistake this will test every believer” and it certainly did me. I grieved, I educated myself, I reconciled my position, I left groups who started slandering Israel, are they perfect, of course not the Bible tells us that! Are they corrupt probably, but no more than any other country in the world in these last days! I trust the Lord with all my heart and all my soul, and I love the direction that John took! The Lord would have none perish but all to come to repentance. Key word ALL and those of us who already believe be ready to give a reason to others for our hope, joy and peace. Thank you for all your efforts

It's just coming up 6 months that I've been listening to his teaching & am so grateful to say that, I've listened to so many since May that I knew that. Thank you Jesus.

I very much echo your appreciation of Dr. MacArthur for Biblically speaking to societal, cultural and world-events in our time. In the West it is now a rare Church leader that so boldly speaks on such things and helps equip and shepherd The Church accordingly.
I appreciate that he speaks from the Bible about currant events without being influenced by "others".
Our God of mercy and that's why so many reject Him. It is not within us to love our enemies and be merciful to them apart from the Spirit of Christ, who never once cursed them who persecuted Him.
Wow, yes, indeed, we 19:40 must repent at least daily. In all thats going on. We tend to get caught up as things happen and forget to sweep our own doorstep

It’s nearly impossible to ignore the labor pains occurring in our nation and throughout the globe. Weather, violence, crime, war, pain, the economy, etc has all seemed to hit an extreme level. We have to live in the world but cannot be of it. Jesus came to offer a way out and offer a peace that comes from above.

I really appreciate your thoughts and your discussions around this horrific event in Israel but pastor John is so solid on the word and as hard as it is to hear this sermon- it is all about salvation for eternity and we have to trust that through this barbaric event that salvation - true salvation will come to the Jews. We need to pray and pray for the salvation of the Jewish nation and also the Palestinian people

As brutal as it sounds : When we not accept Jesus Christ we are under judgment- Jew or gentile does not matter!Since we have the gospel the judgement is harsher. I think a God that warns so many times has the right to judge severely. All glory to God.

My pastor will not mention a thing about current events. It is very disturbing. He acts like things are normal. It makes me crazy.
I understand. I’m kind of experiencing that. It’s troubling to me as well. I wonder. Do they think it’s political? These aren’t morally equivalent sides.
Perhaps he wants to provide a refuge from the storm? A place of worship without worldly distractions? You need to speak with him privately.
MacArthur sides with Israel because he believes all Jews will be saved. True Israel are the elect from every nation. Nation of Israel is a sin cursed nation like the rest. There are saints in Israel and Palestine. For the most part Jews reject Christ.

Many preachers falsely teach that Christians will be raptured out of here before the Tribulation. This is FALSE DOCTRINE! Through the 2 thousand years of Christianity, this was never taught until John Nelson Darby began to preach this in the 1800s.
2 Timothy 4:3-4 For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear. They will reject the truth and chase after myths.
Read 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 and Matthew 24, the Bible does NOT support a pre-Tribulation Rapture!!

Tim, I can’t speak for others, but I enjoy hearing your thoughts as well as Pastor John MacArthur’s. I requested literature from Pastor John and the MacArthur Study Bible. Both have been very informative.
For some unknown reason I don’t always get your notifications even though I am fully subscribed but I know that has nothing to do on your part. However, I am always happy when I do and I learn from both of you. I will listen to his full message with my study Bible. Actually, the 13th chapter of Luke already has an dedicated heading Call To Repent. All of the books in this Bible have divisions inside them on what is the main focus so it draws us to the importance of the chapter. Of course, there’s additional study elements with the chapters too.

From the successful, committed believing Jewish REMNANT (which started in Acts 2) we, the Church, have received the Jewish Messiah who offers a Jewish form of salvation, the Jewish Scriptures and the entire formation, structure and purpose for the Church. That is tremendous. God, Jesus and Paul ALL express their heart for ALL of Israel (not just a Jewish Remnant) to accept their Jewish Messiah. How many of you come from churches who have a loving, sensitive outreach to the Jews? Unfortunately, because of two millennia of Replacement Theology, very few Jews have been touched/reached with a loving presentation of the Good News. So I would like to respectfully recommend the Godly Biblical kindness of reaching the Jews with their Messiah. God will love you for it!

The worst thing about everyone who died and will die in the Palestinian Israel conflict is that few if any were or will be born again in Christ since they're either Muslim or Jewish. They just happen to physically die in a way worse than how many others physically die.
