You’re absolutely right. Most people, especially those whose live fully secular lives, don’t know, understand, or in many cases care that this is very spiritual in nature. I am not one to label everything, every illness or disease, as spiritual; I recognize we have free will and most of what happens is a result of that. But there IS a spiritual battle surrounding us, unseen, all the time, and evil has influenced those who don’t have the Holy Spirit or faith in God.Hitler was evil. Hamas is evil. Demonic forces are working through humans to destroy the world, kill Jews and Christians, and turn all away from Christ and toward the enemy. Yes, God will fulfill His Promises. But wow, He allows so much terrible suffering to be upon His Chosen people, His Church, on innocent children. I know in my heart His ways are perfect, but my mind is imperfect and I see so much unbearable suffering He allows that I don’t understand. I can’t fathom how the Great Tribulation, a time of suffering beyond anything in the past of human history, will be like.
