I already see a lot of new subscribers, so welcome all of you!! ❤ One thing I want to make clear because I've seen some people misunderstanding: the game being always online doesn't *necessarily* mean that you can't pause it in either solo or co-op. Rather, it just makes it less likely in conjunction with the change Treyarch have had to make to a new engine. This is why I listed solo pause and co-op pause as worries which I want to see communication from Treyarch about (to assuage our concerns), but the *much* bigger, and less easy to tackle problem, is the fact that the zombies community NEEDS a Local Play option to properly thrive. This is the biggest concern of all raised in this video, and I hope Treyarch takes the feedback on board that no Local Play will really hurt the playerbase!
Bro on console players will only be able to play the zombies mode if they have the paid online service psn or xbox. that's kind of crummy man, I'm on pc so no matter for me but still wow.

That is very true. Many games nowadays (even some single player ones) require you to be online to verify game files so that you can actually play. Halo MCC did this until just recently on pc, and I can play any of the titles on the collection without wifi or ethernet. I hope COD does the same in the future

My least favorite thing about modern gaming nowadays is the lack of Couch Co-op, with the insistence on Online-only Co-Op. Playing with a buddy or multiple buddies in the same room is a tranquil experience that every gamer needs to feel. Literally nothing better than playing some Halo, Call of Duty, Borderlands, Gears of War, Minecraft, or any Couch Co-Op game with a friend or 2 or 3.
Keeping milo away from all the press events has had the adverse effect of what they hoped would happen. I think they thought this was going to push him into being more positive about whatever they launch so he’d be invited out more. What’s actually happened is that now he has nothing to lose so he can speak openly about both the pros and cons rather than fixating on the good and ignoring the bad. He never really fell into that category to begin with but now he really has no incentive not to be completely open about how he feels.
The reason why Milo doesn't get invited no more, it's because he speaks the truth, and most importantly, he speaks about things that Activision does NOT want the players to be aware of before buying the game.

I think this is sorta rose-tinted glasses tbh. Compare zombies modes from the past 5-10 years to the classic era (WaW to BO2) - they've always tried weird stuff to make it more interesting. Remember TranZit? horrible map overall but appreciated the attempt, same thing with more recent games. Didn't like it but I appreciated the attempt to do something new and see how it goes.

One of the most imporatant things about the dashboarding aspect is that if you were to crash or disconnect you would keep your gobblegums. Now I'm under the impression that system will probably go away as well. So I guess if you use a perkaholic on an EE run and the servers decide to go down or your internet gets a bit dodgy it's boohoo for you. Which is even more worrying to hear when you realize that the server stability looks like its going to be fairly bad.
Everybody needs to keep talking about this. It is absolutely unacceptable. Requiring me to be online means I don't own the game. And like people keep saying ; If buying isn't owning, then piracy isn't stealing.

Honestly such bullshit that they use the "texture streaming" thing. I deactivated it on warzone bcuz I play on PS4 and I've noticed no visual decline and I also haven't been able to make the game playable.
The true reason they're doing this is so that you're added to the monthly user count. If you're offline, the monthly user count would be lower, making it less appealing to investors. Them saying, "Oh, it's just so that you get better textures and graphics in real time, which allows us to reduce the overall file size of the game" is just a cover up. That may be true, yes, but most people turn off "On-demand texture streaming" in the settings anyway.

My biggest worry for BO6 is Connection Interrupted, it's one of the most well known COD memes because it's been a huge problem in Treyarch games for about 2 entire decades, it needs to come to an end

People need to stop acting like COD is back and everything is good now. There's been issues for years, but everyone gets tunnel vision when a new one is announced and when it first releases til they start disliking it again. It's a constant cycle
I think it’s more of the fact that people wish it would be good again. We in the past had really good games. So we know that it is possible. I think we or I guess wish that they would listen to the players again like they used to, to make a good game for the players. Just seems like now they don’t care as much as what the community thinks. Just more for experimenting for them and for a quick buck at least that’s what it feels like.
These modern games look like trash on split screen. I want it back too, but it’s not a fun experience anymore. I give devs a little leeway on this because these games are incredibly resource intensive and the experience needs to be replicated at least twice.
I swear. Me and my neighbor play splitscreen all the time because he doesn't own a gaming system. So, it sucks when they come out with new COD's with no splitscreen. Me and him have been playing splitscreen zombies together since bo2.
While I agree, I also think it’s getting a bit childish how much he whines about not being invited to things. A massive majority of creators aren’t invited to shit like this, and they’re not complaining about how they don’t get special treatment in every video. The best comparison i could give is Agent00 not being invited to 2k events despite being arguably the biggest 2k content creator on the platform at the time because he always kept it real with people when it came to the game and didn’t kiss 2k’s asses.

Just because their priorities in life are different than RW's, doesn't make them shills. They're allowed to just play games and make content for them without being expected to criticize them to this level. Not to say that these kinds of videos aren't appreciated and honestly pretty necessary these days of modern gaming. RW is a champion of the people, no doubt about that.

what we all gotta realize are two things about zombies, no matter what company makes it. 1: it’ll never be the same, it just wont. they wont go back to the amazing simplicity that zombies was, and why we all loved it. 2: it will also on that note, never be as good as it once was. black ops 2, and 3, will never be seen again. the connection issues and all the other stupid bullshit they include to make it “feel on pace with new aged gaming” will ultimately make zombies never nearly as enjoyable as it once was. they ruined an amazing mode by complicating it far too much
Hit the nail on the head when you mentioned the more recent zombies experiences as “soulless”. Think of the vibrancy and character that BO2, BO3, and even BO4 zombies maps had. The way the maps stood out and had so much depth was incredible. I just want to get back to that.
I'll never complain about BO4 again, the new direction zombies is taking has absolutely lost me, weapon tiers make all of the guns generic and make one of the most iconic features, the mystery box useless. Long gone are the days of getting a shitty gun from the box and struggling to make it work, then getting an awesome gun in the box that saves you, loadouts, and so many other things make me just disinterested, cold war zombies was fun but it did not feel like traditional zombies at all, I was hoping bo6 would be a return to traditional zombies but we're in a new era now, and it's a shitty one

What I truly like about these sort of discussion videos is that Milo does present the good and the bad, the positives and the negatives. Its not like Milo is enforcing a certain opinion on us or telling to join a side, rather be neutral and pick what suits you better. I don't think I can stress this enough but please keep making these types of videos as long as you enjoy/are happy/want to make them. I truly love these kind of videos where simply we're looking at things from the sides and trying to compare and give it some thought

I sort of understand why it will still be on old gen consoles because before these consoles released, we expected the old titles of Call of Duty to get remastered and waited over a decade to even hear that Black Ops 2 is getting remastered. But I can't complain. at least Call Of Duty is creating remasters of the OG titles.

Milo has been spot on about the reuse of assets in zombies maps. The literal soul of zombies was based off the ‘sci-fi’ direction of the narrative, location and or historical events. That point has really hit home for me. It’s definitely become blended to Warzone/ multiplayer more recently and make it more bland. Spot on there Milo.

People talking about BO4 stability issues, while forgetting that BO3 was basically the same. On high rounds, it would just straight crash or lose connection to the servers, and i also remember that beside SOE, DE and The Giant, all the other maps would crash very often during EE’s, especially Gorod Krovi and Revelations. Older titles like BO2 used to lose connection to the servers pretty often. I know that there was the option to play offline, but most player that used to do high-rounds played in ranked, so it’s basically useless. For all those hoping for Black Ops 6, I want to tell you just one thing: Today's treyarch is not the WaW-BO4 treyarch. Don't expect to see maps, story, quality characters, atmospheres and breathtaking soundtracks as was the case with Bo2/3/4. It will probably never happen again, because there are different people directing Zombies mode (which still doesn't have the same budget as it once did), people who don't have the slightest idea of what makes zombie mode, zombie. There is no longer the visionary of the past like Jason Blundell, there is no longer love and passion. Black Ops 6 will be exactly like Cold War, that is, a collection of remastered campaign maps with zombies running around, multiplyer/warzone stuff that doesn't get anything right and a story that manages to be 100 times worse than WW2 Zombie and IW combined. P.S I’m pretty sure that Bo4 Zombies match are still handled locally like BO3, even if it require internet, unlike CW-Vanguard-MWZ P.S.S Not only Vanguard, All the new trio CW-Vanguard-MW3 are basically all “other modes” maps. CW is literally all multiplayer/campaign maps (excluding Die Machine), Vanguard are all campaign/MP maps and MWZ is literally rhe Warzone map. And no, Cold War was not “pretty damn good”, it was trash bland like all the next titles. P.S.S.S give me back my greek gods😭
Remeber how they locked your content behind forced arbitration, so you would never participate in a class action or ever sue activition. This was recent months. Also remember when you had all your purchased content, not rented. Removed when they shut down the servers for the first wz and how they are selling you back the same content (maps weapons), and how now season pases say: Activision can remove or modify any content at any time without notice. Remeber when the season passes use to mean all future expansion dlc's, now they are "exclusive content". Not happy with that they now have a season pass to the season pass for content that definitely belongs to the first season pass. Is not about simply ignoring the store or passes. Because budget goes to create that paywall content instead of content for the base game you buy. It does take away from what the game should be.
I’m a firm believer in the fact that you should have more than 15 million subs I think that as a call of duty streamer and content creator, you’ve done so much for the community, the speed running community and even the casual players who look up your videos to see how to do the bows or the stabs were to get information on the story you’ve been doing this for so long you’ve truly perfected it And hell, yeah keep it with the whiteboard videoss

I remember back in the day playing BO1, if you were playing online with your friend in a public lobby, and JUST ONE person got disconnected, even if they other 3 kept going the entire match wouldn't count on your record. Even though it was way harder with only three people against "4 person zombie quanity." So dumb.
Im glad he doesnt noah and all these dudes hyped up vanguard and mw3 zombies to after 6 months to a year say literally this game sucks lol theyre tricked/payed by activision to promote these games to boost sales
The only way all of this can be doubly clarified a bit more is they actually start inviting Milo once again. But what's very irratating is that other creators like Noah and dalekjd have been invited and they all have played it, and they are all saying things like 'yeah, it's beautitful!' where they fail to realise that their first impressions are entirely wrong. And because of that, they are promoting all of the negative stuff which justs fuels the danger and all of our bad predictions become absolutely correct and that could continue this streak for (potentially) decades to come.
A little under 5 minutes in, i feel it's also prudent to mention that CW Zombies was extremely janky when it came to connectivity and local, and the jank changed from patch to patch.
I especially liked cold war because I got modern warfare 2019 just prior to cold war, grinded it for a few. Loved the hell out of the fast but still considerably slow gameplay in multiplayer, the campaign was short but still fun and interesting. But they didn't have zombies, cold war had the same system and zombies, it was pretty much a good game, I just wish they knew when to stop because now we have annoying ass game launcher hub where you can, for some reason have an option to launch all cod games since MW(2019) knowing damn well people only have one cod installed at a time, if that.
I think an absolute major point you’re missing with the idea of them shutting down servers somewhere down the line, thus making the game unplayable, means you’re renting this game, not buying. If they can take it away from you, you do not own it. I can’t imagine buying a full price game and then down the line it’s taken away.
I am genuinely curious if the younger generation that never played waw-bo3 zombies prefers the newer style with health bars for your character and the zombies, open world zombies etc. I think it might just be the nostalgia holding me back from enjoying the newer versions of zombies.
Thought about this aswell, same goes for the new skins and operators with the bright colors and everything. It might just be me liking the older games because thats what Im used to.
I feel like zombies should just be its own game now completely separate from warzone/multiplayer cod campaign and just focus on the zombies community rather than trying to please everyone in one game

Honestly the dark ether storyline doesn’t interest me. It’s very boring, no good characters. I think if the other CoD games wanted to get into zombies they should’ve made their own story instead of trying to join in the dark ether story.
I liked Samantha I don’t like what they are doing in MW3 tho. Feels like they are trying to undo everything . Honestly the story may have been better with a set crew of interesting characters
A lot of this is because of the operators. Think about it: we fell in love with the Aether story is BECAUSE of the beloved crew. Then we got generic everyday operators and it felt so empty

The CoD community as a whole is embarrassingly bad at understanding that most problems in cod (especially nowadays) come from Activision wanting you to buy more MTX

People also have this idea that cosmetic and functional are somehow opposites, even though visuals and visibility are a massive function in any game ever created and can massively affect how well you do.

With vanguard I honestly believe either A. Treyarch was forced to make zombies for a bad game by activision and made it that way completely out of spite or B. Treyarch was forced to make zombies for a bad game by activision and had unpaid interns do if for them because they were busy making BO6
Just a few years ago my family didn’t have Wi-Fi so whenever I needed to update/download a game I’d need to go to my grandparents house to do so. When I was at home I would just replay cod campaigns over and over, play against bots, and play zombies with my brother. I have Wi-Fi now but it’s sad to hear that people that are in the same situation I was in now have an inability to play the latest cod if their family can’t afford Wi-Fi. I really hope cod can find a way to optimize the game and make it more offline accessible.

Keeping milo away from all the press events has had the adverse effect of what they hoped would happen. I think they thought this was going to push him into being more positive about whatever they launch so he’d be invited out more.
What’s actually happened is that now he has nothing to lose so he can speak openly about both the pros and cons rather than fixating on the good and ignoring the bad. He never really fell into that category to begin with but now he really has no incentive not to be completely open about how he feels.
The reason why Milo doesn't get invited no more, it's because he speaks the truth, and most importantly, he speaks about things that Activision does NOT want the players to be aware of before buying the game.

I think this is sorta rose-tinted glasses tbh. Compare zombies modes from the past 5-10 years to the classic era (WaW to BO2) - they've always tried weird stuff to make it more interesting. Remember TranZit? horrible map overall but appreciated the attempt, same thing with more recent games. Didn't like it but I appreciated the attempt to do something new and see how it goes.

One of the most imporatant things about the dashboarding aspect is that if you were to crash or disconnect you would keep your gobblegums. Now I'm under the impression that system will probably go away as well. So I guess if you use a perkaholic on an EE run and the servers decide to go down or your internet gets a bit dodgy it's boohoo for you. Which is even more worrying to hear when you realize that the server stability looks like its going to be fairly bad.

The true reason they're doing this is so that you're added to the monthly user count. If you're offline, the monthly user count would be lower, making it less appealing to investors.
Them saying, "Oh, it's just so that you get better textures and graphics in real time, which allows us to reduce the overall file size of the game" is just a cover up.
That may be true, yes, but most people turn off "On-demand texture streaming" in the settings anyway.

I think it’s more of the fact that people wish it would be good again. We in the past had really good games. So we know that it is possible. I think we or I guess wish that they would listen to the players again like they used to, to make a good game for the players. These modern games look like trash on split screen. I want it back too, but it’s not a fun experience anymore. I give devs a little leeway on this because these games are incredibly resource intensive and the experience needs to be replicated at least twice.

what we all gotta realize are two things about zombies, no matter what company makes it. 1: it’ll never be the same, it just wont. they wont go back to the amazing simplicity that zombies was, and why we all loved it. 2: it will also on that note, never be as good as it once was. black ops 2, and 3, will never be seen again. the connection issues and all the other stupid bullshit they include to make it “feel on pace with new aged gaming” will ultimately make zombies never nearly as enjoyable as it once was. they ruined an amazing mode by complicating it far too much
Hit the nail on the head when you mentioned the more recent zombies experiences as “soulless”. Think of the vibrancy and character that BO2, BO3, and even BO4 zombies maps had. The way the maps stood out and had so much depth was incredible. I just want to get back to that.
I'll never complain about BO4 again, the new direction zombies is taking has absolutely lost me, weapon tiers make all of the guns generic and make one of the most iconic features, the mystery box useless. Long gone are the days of getting a shitty gun from the box and struggling to make it work, then getting an awesome gun in the box that saves you, loadouts, and so many other things make me just disinterested, cold war zombies was fun but it did not feel like traditional zombies at all, I was hoping bo6 would be a return to traditional zombies but we're in a new era now, and it's a shitty one

What I truly like about these sort of discussion videos is that Milo does present the good and the bad, the positives and the negatives.

Milo has been spot on about the reuse of assets in zombies maps. The literal soul of zombies was based off the ‘sci-fi’ direction of the narrative, location and or historical events. That point has really hit home for me. It’s definitely become blended to Warzone/ multiplayer more recently and make it more bland. Spot on there Milo.

People talking about BO4 stability issues, while forgetting that BO3 was basically the same. On high rounds, it would just straight crash or lose connection to the servers, and i also remember that beside SOE, DE and The Giant, all the other maps would crash very often during EE’s, especially Gorod Krovi and Revelations. Older titles like BO2 used to lose connection to the servers pretty often. I know that there was the option to play offline, but most player that used to do high-rounds played in ranked, so it’s basically useless.
For all those hoping for Black Ops 6, I want to tell you just one thing: Today's treyarch is not the WaW-BO4 treyarch. Don't expect to see maps, story, quality characters, atmospheres and breathtaking soundtracks as was the case with Bo2/3/4. It will probably never happen again, because there are different people directing Zombies mode (which still doesn't have the same budget as it once did), people who don't have the slightest idea of what makes zombie mode, zombie. There is no longer the visionary of the past like Jason Blundell, there is no longer love and passion. Black Ops 6 will be exactly like Cold War, that is, a collection of remastered campaign maps with zombies running around, multiplyer/warzone stuff that doesn't get anything right and a story that manages to be 100 times worse than WW2 Zombie and IW combined.
P.S I’m pretty sure that Bo4 Zombies match are still handled locally like BO3, even if it require internet, unlike CW-Vanguard-MWZ
P.S.S Not only Vanguard, All the new trio CW-Vanguard-MW3 are basically all “other modes” maps. CW is literally all multiplayer/campaign maps (excluding Die Machine), Vanguard are all campaign/MP maps and MWZ is literally rhe Warzone map. And no, Cold War was not “pretty damn good”, it was trash bland like all the next titles.

Remeber how they locked your content behind forced arbitration, so you would never participate in a class action or ever sue activition. This was recent months.
Also remember when you had all your purchased content, not rented. Removed when they shut down the servers for the first wz and how they are selling you back the same content (maps weapons), and how now season pases say: Activision can remove or modify any content at any time without notice.
Remeber when the season passes use to mean all future expansion dlc's, now they are "exclusive content". Not happy with that they now have a season pass to the season pass for content that definitely belongs to the first season pass.
Is not about simply ignoring the store or passes. Because budget goes to create that paywall content instead of content for the base game you buy. It does take away from what the game should be.

Even though it was way harder with only three people against "4 person zombie quanity." So dumb.

I dont understand how operator skins came into the equation, it doesnt affect your game in anyway and its not a pre requisite in the game experience.

The only way all of this can be doubly clarified a bit more is they actually start inviting Milo once again. But what's very irratating is that other creators like Noah and dalekjd have been invited and they all have played it, and they are all saying things like 'yeah, it's beautitful!' where they fail to realise that their first impressions are entirely wrong. And because of that, they are promoting all of the negative stuff which justs fuels the danger and all of our bad predictions become absolutely correct and that could continue this streak for (potentially) decades to come.
And if they bring back Verdansk, I guarantee you they’re gonna find a way to ruin that too

That’s why I loved Cold War, ran very good on PC and you can PAUSE in solo.
I especially liked cold war because I got modern warfare 2019 just prior to cold war, grinded it for a few. Loved the hell out of the fast but still considerably slow gameplay in multiplayer, the campaign was short but still fun and interesting. But they didn't have zombies, cold war had the same system and zombies, it was pretty much a good game, I just wish they knew when to stop because now we have annoying ass game launcher hub where you can, for some reason have an option to launch all cod games since MW(2019) knowing damn well people only have one cod installed at a time, if that.
Cold War runs like shit on PC. It perfoms even worse than all the new MW saga.
I think an absolute major point you’re missing with the idea of them shutting down servers somewhere down the line, thus making the game unplayable, means you’re renting this game, not buying. If they can take it away from you, you do not own it. I can’t imagine buying a full price game and then down the line it’s taken away.

I am genuinely curious if the younger generation that never played waw-bo3 zombies prefers the newer style with health bars for your character and the zombies, open world zombies etc. I think it might just be the nostalgia holding me back from enjoying the newer versions of zombies.

Honestly the dark ether storyline doesn’t interest me. It’s very boring, no good characters. I think if the other CoD games wanted to get into zombies they should’ve made their own story instead of trying to join in the dark ether story.

I liked Samantha I don’t like what they are doing in MW3 tho. Feels like they are trying to undo everything . Honestly the story may have been better with a set crew of interesting characters
A lot of this is because of the operators. Think about it: we fell in love with the Aether story is BECAUSE of the beloved crew. Then we got generic everyday operators and it felt so empty

@@davethescrub858 I wish the majority of people understood the harm that MTX causes but sadly I know that they don't. Any time I bring up why bundles are bad I'm hit with the same response that they are "optional" and "cosmetic only" which is just so utterly wrong and missing the point.

People also have this idea that cosmetic and functional are somehow opposites, even though visuals and visibility are a massive function in any game ever created and can massively affect how well you do.

With vanguard I honestly believe either A. Treyarch was forced to make zombies for a bad game by activision and made it that way completely out of spite or B. Treyarch was forced to make zombies for a bad game by activision and had unpaid interns do if for them because they were busy making BO6
Just a few years ago my family didn’t have Wi-Fi so whenever I needed to update/download a game I’d need to go to my grandparents house to do so. When I was at home I would just replay cod campaigns over and over, play against bots, and play zombies with my brother. I have Wi-Fi now but it’s sad to hear that people that are in the same situation I was in now have an inability to play the latest cod if their family can’t afford Wi-Fi. I really hope cod can find a way to optimize the game and make it more offline accessible.
