I Messed this Deal Up Big Time - MINT 1990 Foxbody Mustang 12k Original Miles!

- Back in 2020 I tried to buy this MINT 12k Original Mile 1990 Foxbody Mustang. Car is Red on manual lock/window Black Interior and was one of the cleanest Foxes I have ever witnessed. Car has A/C, Cruise and rear defrost as options. Unfortunately I didn't bring the trailer and ended up losing out on the deal. Lucky for me, 2 years later we did manage to come to terms and I now have the car!

Amazing car and story. That car is too good for me lol I wouldn't want the stress of trying to keep it original.
That is Mint for sure, there is a point where most people will have too much stress to keep the car the way
it is, and have a place to keep it and not get dirty. Great find, nice add to the collection!

Absolutely gorgeous! Thank you for sharing this story with us. I started following your channel only about six months ago and absolutely love your OCD and the attention to detail. You’re on my shortlist of favorites and have just started listening to your podcast with Gary. I find myself listening while working on my 88 GT convertible. Thank you for all the content!
I appreciate that sir! Thank you
Wow so clean amazing deal you did the right thing and not bring it back in the salt every thing work out when it’s right awesome find and awesome story to go with it all in video awesome see it at the show going be awesome
That was my exact first car would love to have it!!!!!
Amazing how glossy the original trim was. Most foxes I see, including mine, that have repainted trim has a pretty flat finish.
I was thinking the same thing. I’ve seen a few clean ones and they have always been matte.
People truly don't get the door opening and closing I love it was mentioned! Even on 30 year old cars with decent miles you can get a feel for quality of car and use of the car by doors. Door should be smooth and have a firm feel, hold its self open with ease, and when shutting have a crisp quiet suction to it when latching closed. The coupe was in amazing condition for a Canada car.
My dad's 87 5.0's doors still close like that. Solid!
Exactly my first car. Would be cool to own that one. Cool video, thanks for sharing.
Love these type vids.
Man. You are too good of a guy. You did not have to let him back out the first time. Trailer or no trailer, you put money in that guy's hand. Sob story or not he's locked right there IMO.
That is a super clean Foxbody! OMG 💯 rare!
I remember hearing about this on the podcast
Original tire was a Goodyear Gatorback. Or did it change in 1990?
Also, if you had brought it back on an open trailer it wouldn’t have been the end of the world. One trip on a trailer on salted roads is different than driving it on salted roads. The salt would just be some spray. You can easily wash the car and get all of it. That said, I would have done the same thing you did, given his offer to deliver.
I know in 1991 the tire they came with was a Goodyear Eagle GT4. You had the option of getting it with Michelin All Seasons though at no additional charge if that’s what you wanted.
I can not speak on the 1990 models, though.
91-93 pony wheels only with the Michelin. I think 93 Cobras had Goodyears.
1990 came with Gatorbacks, I have the original wheels for my 90 in storage.
15” Gatorbacks on all 5.0’s up until ‘90. From 91-93 GT’s got the 16” Gatorbacks. The LX 5.0 cars got the Michelin XGT’s.
That's an awesome find. It would probably make my keep list. I wish it was a U.S. car, but definitely does't hurt the value in my opinion. If you still have it when I finish my coyote coupe, I'd be very interested.
Amazing car but I’d be torn between trying to keep it perfect and driving it ……hence why mine is a 4-8 swap I can drive the way they were meant to be driven
Sick!!!!!! Clean af!
I didn’t know you were canadian….. i thought you were from austin texas…… I know that ksl is in canada and i’m subscribed to his channel. There are a lot of foxbody channels popping up. But i think i’ve seen your channel along time ago. At any rate good video 👍🏿😂
Beautiful car! I really like how much you love these cars! Thank you for the video!
It’s one of those cars that are too nice to drive!
Thats a $35K-$39K car. However, anybody who owns a enclosed trailer and trys to buy a car that takes years is definitely a "reseller". It just comes down to the price at this point.
Why were we beeping out the prices dammit 😭🤣🚗🦊🇺🇸💯🔥🙌🇨🇦
Lol!
Awesome notch… with the great story and full documentation! Sure hope that thing stays original!Awesome he kept the original exhaust and was smart enough to not cut it! I would put a set of the repop Gatorbacks on ASAP.
I have a set of the brand new repopped tires that go with it
Now that ……is a stupid clean amazing coupe…sadly only the 4cylinder cars stay this nice…rare to see a 5.0 fox this clean!
I hope that car stays stock 100%.
Loved the video, great story! Although I do prefer the tweed seats over the base model seats they were not an option in the notch until 91.
Great video Chris! Beauty of a car.
Nice video!
Awesome car, I had a 1991 notch 5.0, painted lipstick Red, I hated to sell it but raising kids was expensive lol
OMG i had that exact same car for 13 years, i regret selling!
Im a car guy and would daily drive it long as the weather is nice. My 58 Bel Air hits the road when ever I can.
Good looking notch 👌
Whats going on with your feature? Videos helped me find all my bad spots. Mine was just like yours on the doors and under fenders.
It's stuck in Canada at the body shop still
It wasn’t that serious to trailer it in the snow if it gets a little salt that’s the name of the game But you lucked up
If you are laying out that much money. Why would anyone change the seats to tweed?
If you put a coyote motor in that car you are doing 10 or 11 second quarter mile times.
No power windows/locks. Wouldn’t that come in a “fully optioned” car?
Correct, this is not a fully optioned car.
Yes I know, but in the video Chris mentions it is. Just noticed no power options 🤷♂️
Ya I messed that up.. it does have AC tho
Just something I noticed when u opened the door🤷♂️ not a deal killer, car is awesome
@@geordiehunt2941 it is for me.. at least it has AC. I am converting my Silver Notch over soon!
OMFG!!!!! I tried and tried to buy THIS exact car from the original owner years ago!!!!! The guys initials are L.F. He could never commit to a time outside of" the next half hour" .lol
Lol. Small world!
Awesome that you got it,and that i got to see this vid.
It that were mine I’d have trouble selling too 😂
Fitzy 😉
Just starting the video, so I'll answer the question as you asked it. No I wouldn't bring the trailer. Why? I would have brought cash, and if a deal was worked out, exchanged that for the title, and worked out details on picking up the car for a later date.
Awesome car you should also do a video on a sn95 94-98
Wow ..wow...wow
Man I thought I was doing good keeping my 21 Camaro to 13k miles over two years. It's so hard to not drive a fun car like this, IDK how they did it!!
Keeping the miles low for the next owner is like not f*cking your girlfriend to keep her tight for the next guy. 🤷♂️
@@audiarayz 😅
I encountered a 66 mustang all original, sell for peanuts at an auction. Nobody seemed interested in it. At some point, you want to drive the car and these are museum pieces. I figure, you can restore a car and drive the crap out of it, then restore it again. Just drive.
The moral of the story is to get an enclosed trailer!
There’s been a lot of cars I wish they would’ve backed out, lol
The original tire was Goodyear eagles
No way I would have put Flowmasters on that car...it should have been left 100% original. The original tires were Goodyear Gatorbacks from 1985-1990 with the 15 inch wheel, then for the 16 inch Pony wheels the Michelin was used on the LX 5.0 from 1991-1993 while the GT still got the Gatorbacks, all 1993 Cobras had Gatorbacks, at least that's how it was in the US.
Oh drilled front plate! @donkeyfixit wouldn’t approve!! Nice ride
Very clean ride
Nice but in video “ fully loaded” yet manual windows and door locks. All for $48k
Bro it is very clean but every damn car you got is clean she is definitely beautiful should have no problem getting what you're asking I have no clue what you're asking
48 canadian
Very nice car I couldn't buy one like that though, I'd be paranoid all the time, I would rather have a beater that i can cut up and make my own, and beat living sh$t out it without feeling bad about it, nice cars are cool to see, but beaters are much more fun to own
I also have the Sh!tbox-Fox
@@TheInfamousProjectthh😅qp⁰😅
Thought stock tires on the ten holes were goodyear gatorbacks
I have the stock tires... They aren't on the car. Same with the catback.
👍
You couldn't get the sport seats in 1990 in a 5.0 coupe...1991 was when Ford put the sport seats standard in all 5.0 cars. That car has the correct factory interior, you'd be a crazy nut to change it.
Its also a LX and not a GT.
Invest in an enclosed trailer!
Front license plate. Well count donkeyfixit out as a buyer😂
🤣🤣🤣
Camaro doors didn't close that well new.
They are only original 1 time.stay minty
Dude your blinding me with those bright white lights that you like to stand in front of. I want to watch your vid but now i cant see.
How much you pay?
Does it have a sunroof?
Wouldn't be original if it did
Fully loaded with manual windows?
Ya that's what happens when you go through so many of these cars and you try to rely on memory. A/C, Cruise, PM, Rear Defrost are the options.
@@TheInfamousProject it's more loaded than mine is. Lol
$50k and you can deliver it to Florida
If you're serious then contact me via email
Is this fox still for sale and in Canada
Yes
How many foxes do you own
Too many
So is it already for sale 😆
Everything is for sale for a price
Backing out of a paid deal is what flaky D bags do. "it's not about the money" Buuuullsh*t most people would sell their soul for the right price. man I hate the buy/sell dance.
😎
