Recruits are watching this closely. 4 and 5 star players will all be up for the highest bidder....And it's turning into the wild west....If Wake Forest or Duke has a company in their area that can offer 5-10 million, they'll get the number 1 recruit in the nation. We've entered a weird scenario. On the flip side....We'll have lots of Parity (teams that were horrendous could be in the playoffs if they have access to a few rich companies in their area.

If it was going to be about money, then this recruitment ended awhile ago. LSU was pretty much already dead in the water this whole time. Bryce's camp strung it out because they could, and it worked. He got LSU to up its offer at the last minute to $6 million. That's still woefully short of $10.5 million. UM was always going to pay at least double what LSU was going to. If LSU had managed to come up with a $10 million offer then UM would make it $20 million. LSU wasn't ever going to win this. Yes, it's about money, but UM won the money game as soon as it entered. This isn't some out-of-nowhere flip or some last second godfather offer. The godfather offer was made a long time ago. There was just no reason for Bryce to rush and take it. Michigan wasn't ever going to pull their offer.

Colin Hurley! If he didn't reclassify, he'd be in this up coming class. I think he's being slept on. That kid spoke LSU and committed to LSU. I know we haven't seen anything from him on the field, but from all the camp reports the kid is the most skilled QB on the roster, he just happens to be 17 years old. Get the O-line sured up and we'll see the best of Nuss (if he comes back), Ricky or Colin, even AJ if they all stay.
You make a great point about LSU and the interior linemen. LSU has always and will always have great skill players but they never have guys upfront. LSU will dominate Vandy because Vandy uses the perimeter which plays right into LSU's strength. Johnny Football never had success against LSU because LSU's speed with the DB's negated him. Ole Miss and their finesse style of play played right into LSU's strength. LSU has struggled against Bama and UGA due to the ball being run right at them and defensively being able to get to the LSU QB.
I'm disappointed in this LSU crowd. The attendance definitely was at 100k as they announced,maybe about 90 percent full at best. Cmon Tiger fans. Where's the home crowd advantage?

Agree Nussmeier will likely stay another year. If he enters the draft after this season, who knows how low he'll go. If he stays as a 5th year player next year and can greatly improve his performance, his draft stock may rise. That said, I don't think LSU is going to be very good in 2025 either.

You're saying that LSU was going to pay $4 million at the time that Michigan was offering $10.5 million. The discrepancy was already vast. If it was going to be about money, then this recruitment ended awhile ago. LSU was pretty much already dead in the water this whole time.
Bryce's camp strung it out because they could, and it worked. He got LSU to up its offer at the last minute to $6 million. That's still woefully short of $10.5 million. UM was always going to pay at least double what LSU was going to. If LSU had managed to come up with a $10 million offer then UM would make it $20 million. LSU wasn't ever going to win this. Yes, it's about money, but UM won the money game as soon as it entered. This isn't some out-of-nowhere flip or some last second godfather offer. The godfather offer was made a long time ago. There was just no reason for Bryce to rush and take it. Michigan wasn't ever going to pull their offer.

Colin Hurley! If he didn't reclassify, he'd be in this up coming class. I think he's being slept on. That kid spoke LSU and committed to LSU. I know we haven't seen anything from him on the field, but from all the camp reports the kid is the most skilled QB on the roster, he just happens to be 17 years old. Get the O-line sured up and we'll see the best of Nuss (if he comes back), Ricky or Colin, even AJ if they all stay.

You make a great point about LSU and the interior linemen. LSU has always and will always have great skill players but they never have guys upfront. LSU will dominate Vandy because Vandy uses the perimeter which plays right into LSU's strength. Johnny Football never had success against LSU because LSU's speed with the DB's negated him. Ole Miss and their finesse style of play played right into LSU's strength. LSU has struggled against Bama and UGA due to the ball being run right at them and defensively being able to get to the LSU QB.
I'm disappointed in this LSU crowd. The attendance definitely was at 100k as they announced,maybe about 90 percent full at best. Cmon Tiger fans. Where's the home crowd advantage?
And look for 5 star WR Derek Meadows to transfer to Michigan right with Underwood. Meadows had Michigan in his final four, and he chose LSU to play with Bryce.

Agree Nussmeier will likely stay another year. If he enters the draft after this season, who knows how low he'll go. If he stays as a 5th year player next year and can greatly improve his performance, his draft stock may rise. That said, I don't think LSU is going to be very good in 2025 either.
