I have two young adult sons who are both 5’8” and very thin. Finding properly fitting clothes for them has always been a challenge!! I so appreciate your channel and the guidance you’ve given me over time, as they both hate to shop, so I enjoy helping them out with clothes that properly fit. Thank you!!
At 5’7” and 175lbs (athletic build), I usually wear a size Medium in most t-shirts. Currently, my favorite one is the Gap Everyday Soft Crewneck. Most of the color choices are 100% cotton, so I avoid putting them in the clothes dryer but they are a great value and fit great.
They had some synthetic shirts last year on clearance for $3. They’re oddly perfect for me. Good length, chest, arms. (lol so of course they were discontinued)
@@GOD999MODE put them on a hanger to dry. But I don’t wear them much in winter, since I wear regular undershirts as a layer under sweaters or flannels in winter.
This is a great video. I’m a girl and am got inspired into watching men’s fashion channels. It’s my style now. Love it. Men’s clothes are so comfortable
My favorite tees are Dickie’s heavyweight with the pocket. They’re sturdy and don’t crinkle or look sloppy in extreme heat, but they’re not so thick you feel overheated and sweaty yourself.
The best t-Shirt--by far--is the Bronson Loopwheel Tubular. Unfortunately they always sell out quick. Perfect fit, although go up one size. The distinguishing factor in this t-shirt is it is heavy cotton with a substantial collar that does not stretch. The neck and the quality cotton is what makes it great.
Thanks for the great content from another 5'6" guy. My build is different with a 40" chest and muscular build, weighing in at 165lbs. My favorite tee is the Ash & Erie in a medium, they fit great and I have them in a few colors. I recently got a few pairs of pants from Abbreviated and like them a lot, I will try their T's. I may try the ASKET with their length options. Thanks again Brock.
Lately I’ve been buying the Madewell All Day tees. They look good and fit pretty well for the price. I have several Warehouse tees that are pretty heavyweight but very short in the body. Not cheap but if you can find them on sale, worth the pickup.
I am exactly your height and weight with an athletic build and appreciate your tips, insights and information! Thanks! I personally like True Classic brand t-shirts…great fit and durability.
Next Level T fit me perfectly. Dirt cheap and depending on the product number you get are not thin. You wouldn’t think that these should be good but try them out.
You should try Bronson Mfg loopwheeled tees. Higher quality than anything on here and cheaper than most of them. Under $30/shirt esp when on sale. They’ll change your outlook on tshirts
Old Navy used to sell really good t-shirts on the cheap a few years ago, maybe 5-6 years ago. When i went back to their store recently to replace the 4 or 5 i've been using from them these past few years, i noticed that they're just not the same. Can't pinpoint exactly what's wrong with them, but i just don't like them as much as the ones i bought a few years ago.
My go to tee shirt is the black crew neck Polo 3 pack from Marshall’s for $19. I’d love to not blink an eye at $50 tees, but I can’t justify that price. Best Regards
Hey Brock I like the Uniqlo women’s crew neck tee shirts the arm length is a little shorter as is the length which I like. The men’s shirts I think the arms are a little long check them out next time if you don’t mind shopping in the woman’s section I just size up from men’s medium to a woman’s XL.
T-shirts are cool, but what is this shirt/jacket you are wearing while taking to microphone? I would like something like that, but not sure where to start looking.
They're called either overshirts or shirt-jackets (or "shackets"). I've gotten some good ones from H&M, but I suspect that the one he's wearing in this video is higher-end.
I have an uniqlo airism polyester blend polo from a few years ago and it keeps getting smelly whenever I sweat in the summer, do the uniqlo airism cotton T shirt have the smelly problem? any idea if they have improved the fabric?
I haven't had that problem with AIRism tees. FYI you can soak synthetic garments in special "activewear" detergent that will help get rid of the smell.
I love both of these brands. Im 5'10 165 and the medium shirts fit perfectly. snug in the arms and chest with room in the belly. not very expensive and last pretty long if not dried in the dryer very often. I really an liking shirts from The perfect Jean company as well.
Hey Brock, Happy Thanksgiving to you and grateful for your content. Appreciate this list. I have a heavy t shirt from Buck Mason that I'm liking now. I will definitely try the Abbreviated. Have been wanting to try a few pieces in Mike's collection, but the models he uses in his advertising kinda puts me off. Just curious, why is it i rarely see you mention Peter Manning? I have never purchased from them as when i've tried they never seem to have the exact size i need. Speaking of sizing with regard to tops a small is generally too small and a medium is too big. any suggestions? Thank you.
You too, Will! I think you'll like Abbreviated. Mike is doing really good work there. I used to work closely with Peter Manning (managed marketing for over a year). Sadly, after the original founder (Peter) left, things seemed to go down hill. I don't find myself buying or wearing their stuff anymore, other than a couple of older pieces. The brand has so much potential, and I tried my best to make an impact there, but the current leadership wasn't open to change.
@@BrockMcGoff truly the only reason i considered being a customer was because you were there. and then when i realized you were no longer associated I decided not to pursue their product any longer. @BrockMcGoff, do you have recommendations on Crew neck sweatshirts? I love crew neck sweatshirts with jeans or trousers. I am 5.6" ft and same build as you
Taller guys dunking on fellow shorter guys, something is not right here. Either that guy is tall but still insecure or he is not tall but is ashamed to admit of the same height/size, xs.
This is the cost of a high quality product made in an ethical manner (speaking for the Asket T-shirt). If you want to pay next to nothing for a product, be prepared for garbage quality and/or garbage working conditions
This video is "11 best T-shirts," not "11 cheapest T-shirts." For most products, if you want the best, it's probably going to be expensive, because premium items usually cost more to make. Would I ever pay $40 or $50 for a T-shirt? Probably not, but that's irrelevant, because this video isn't aimed at those who are budget-conscious. It's for those who want the best.
