When you get your belly full it definitely makes you sleepy. The food here was great. However I don’t think I’d want to eat early on a hot day and walk around the park afterwards. We typically eat light when at a park, especially on a hot day. 🥵God Bless!
First off, God does Miracles every day. Especially when we're not looking. Congrats on retrieving your mics. Good mics are valuable! Noticed an interesting difference between what you were served and what's on the ticket. David said one "meat" was the pot roast and vegetables. And, that's what I saw on your table. But, the ticket says sausage, peppers, and onions! Interesting! I've had good meals at a theme park. Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen... I liked this video. God Bless!
We thought the ticket was interesting too. It didn’t matter because the price was correct. The food was excellent! I’m always thankful for the little things. Ex.-Last night we had the most beautiful colors in the sky. God Bless!

I am so glad yall found your microphones. We have left equipment behind accidentally before. It ain't great. But we do LOVE Aunt Granny's. We have only been there once and the food was so good. You are right - it is not at all typical theme park food. It is hard to enjoy the rides after eating at Aunt Granny's. But I like your plan - Eat dinner in the evening, walk around a bit and then enjoy the fireworks and head for the hotel. Thanks for sharing this review of Aunt Granny's with us!

Aunt Granny's, had some good looking grub, biscuits did look like Red Lobster, Carly loved them, I like the idea that they serve family style, all you can eat, means I eat more than I need! The catfish and chicken really caught my eye. I'm like you at a theme or amusement park usually to busy to have a sit down meal. But I guess if I made it my last stop of the day it would work. Definitely good looking grub at Aunt Granny’s. Carly enjoyed eating here for sure. You definitely need to pay attention to your portion size so you don’t eat too much. Aunt Granny’s is our go to place for good food at Dollywood. It is the best bang for your buck. The food is very good. We did have catfish one time that was not their best but the next time we had it was great. The chicken for us has always been good and the sides are good. Veronica’s favorite side is the cabbage. I really want to go to Dollywood in the fall. I think my husband and I would drive from northern Michigan, and hopefully it will have cooled down from the summer by then. You will love Dollywood and the Smokies in the fall. It will definitely be cooler than the summer but you can still have some warm days. I love all the pumpkins that Dollywood has everywhere for the fall festival. I read last year that they had 12,000 pumpkins decorating the park. This is a great option if you want a meal in the park. How cool that this is offered in the park! Thanks for this video - good to know for my future trip:) So is the "family-style" just all the dishes and sides rather than individual orders? Or does it include sitting with others and passing the food around - like they used to do at Good n Plenty in Lancaster? Just wondering ;) Thanks again! Always glad to see you all;)
Family style consists of the server bringing the serving bowls to your table and members of your party would eat from those dishes. You just pass the bowls around to members of your party. You do not eat with other people. We have been to restaurants where they sit you with another group(s). Hope y'all are having a great weekend!

I take it Carly favorite is mac and cheese with iced tea. Does Carly make her own iced tea at home. My wife use to. Got Lipton tea bags (8) with 1 cup sugar and used the coffee pot to make the tea and pour it in the gallon of water.
Yes Carly loves both. We don’t have iced tea at home a lot. Carly normally drinks water and milk at home mainly. When we do have it I make it. Sounds like you make a great sweet tea!
It does remind me of Paula’s restaurant. However Aunt Granny’s opened in 1986 and Paula’s restaurant didn’t come to PF until 2015. Not sure if Aunt Granny’s was always family style or not. Definitely good food. Thanks for all your support!

uh oh, dont kill me but i see it all the time, white fish called cat fish, cause i have never seen catfish even able to be cut long like that in strips. looking at the flakes inside, im 99% sure its the standard white fish which is very very good too, but its not catfish. but you know im always all ears when i see catfish posted or if i eat out and the list something as catfish that isnt really catfish. hmm, interesting. ok, back to the video. (ps, the standard white fish is often served in big American buffets and some times asian buffets (if they didnt do swai fish) but its all good.
@@vafunseekers and maybe it was a HUGE catfish that they made into logs like that.. but i agree, it looked so good. enjoy the rest of your 4th.. the hubby has off til monday, he’s loving it and we finally got a nice rain storm after many days of no rain and brown grass everywhere.

There was a restaurant outside of Roanoke, va called Homeplace. Unfortunately they are closed now but very similar to that place
