I love eating at Cracker Barrel, but I do find that it all depends on who does the cooking, it can be hit or miss, I like taking Donna and I there for either lunch or dinner ! I've never been to Cracker Barrel for breakfast, however, the food looked delicious. I also like the hashbrowns in that shredded style. I have a Cracker Barrel location here, so I'm going to try it out when I'm in that area at breakfast time.

I appreciate the low seasoning just because health wise, it’s easier to add than to take out. Because of heart disease, I’m supposed to stay away from sodium, which I do. My opinion is everything has so much salt / seasoning. People don’t realize it. So if they serve eggs and they haven’t salted it then it has no taste. If it has no taste people assume the food isn’t good. People can’t eat anything any more that isn’t salted. Even fruit it salted at times.
I would agree that most things have too much salt. 🧂 The more fresh snd non-processed foods that we eat the better. The only fruit that I add salt to is watermelon 🍉 and that is always debatable. lol Thanks for watching.
We had the breakfast once and that was back in July, mine was good I got the biscuits and gravy with bacon that was delicious and I'd get em again but it wasn't anything to do a backflip over! And i don't think yall had very good service either because the biscuits were not done right and David had to remind them for his apples. But Carly absolutely loved her breakfast. When I looked at the pictures afterwards and saw the biscuits I could really see how bad they were. I would think that they should have known better than to bring them out looking like that. But the server was nice and bought us more when requested. Appreciate your support!

Excellent video! Alas, a visit to Cracker Barrel isn't what it used to be. Chances are they are now cooking the more popular dishes in bulk and leaving them either unseasoned or minimally seasoned to lower unit costs and reduce customer wait time. Also, there's still a push by the Food Police on sodium. So, because it's easier to reduce the sodium you directly taste than what you don't guess what gets cut? It also cuts down on kitchen returns because of "too much" salt, pepper, etc. I have to admit that this time, all of you made choices which I'd make. Indeed, most of Cracker Barrel's menu looks like a winner. But, if the quality isn't there, what's the bother? Although I'm neither an abstainer nor a teetotaler, I still have a tough time getting my head around having a Mimosa with breakfast. Especially at Cracker Barrel! There are just some things that I'm not comfortable with. It also seemed that there were more service challenges with this meal than the usual. Is is that restaurants are understaffing? Restaurants not getting customer-focused applicants? Or, what? Given the number of restaurant meals you eat, you could be a resource to help the industry. I liked Cindy's "Teach to Succeed" approach in the segment on the board game. Finally, given that this is Christmas week, I got a nice memory of a recent past Christmas at seeing the tomato slices on the breakfast plate. In my case, it was accompanied with a "Honey, you're not getting any younger. You really need to start taking better care of yourself..." I've been eating tomatoes several times a week ever since! Top shelf video. (No elf needed!) And since this is Christmas week.. Joyeux noël! Frohe Weihnachten! Oh yeah... Merry Christmas! God Bless!

It may be awhile but then again it has been a long time since we have been to Cracker Barrel for breakfast. We thought it was ok and definitely remember it being better. I do think places should monitor sodium but just because you reduce the sodium doesn't mean the taste should suffer so much. But this discussion could lead to lots of discussion. lol So I'll just leave it at that. I can't wrap my head around Cracker Barrel selling alcohol. So many years they did not. Yes, we all have been under the weather at some point. I had a cold this week and David is still battling it too. But we all are much better. I should have tried the pancakes.
You get the one peg reward and we got are 1st snow fall on Friday night it's nothing to right home about though we got anywhere from a half an inch to an inch in southeast Pennsylvania

Cracker Barrel was good 20 or 30 years ago. It has been on a steady decline for the last 5 years. I have eaten there hundreds times, but will not again.

that Gravy looks old and set up and the briskets are over done to hell. Used to work at CB a decade ago and they just been going down hill for years, also scrambled eggs shouldn't have white showing. if the pepper gravy needs pepper something is def wrong
It was only a matter of time that they would go DOWN HILL... thats what they get for allowing a FAMILY type of store to allow booze inside their places... it serves them right... They should have never let a FAMILY style store start serving booze... that should have been common sense
I definitely agree about the alcohol. They didn't have it for years so why start serving it now? I guess to make money, not to keep the family atmosphere.

We stopped going in 2023. Used to eat there about 4x a month. Portions shrank, prices rose, and service declined.Their CEO is nuts and unqualified.

that Gravy looks old and set up and the briskets are over done to hell. Used to work at CB a decade ago and they just been going down hill for years, also scrambled eggs shouldn't have white showing. if the pepper gravy needs pepper something is def wrong
I had to stir the gravy up because it was stiff. I normally really enjoy the gravy. It’s been a long time since we ate breakfast at CB.

It was only a matter of time that they would go DOWN HILL... thats what they get for allowing a FAMILY type of store to allow booze inside their places... it serves them right... They should have never let a FAMILY style store start serving booze... that should have been common sense
I definitely agree about the alcohol. They didn't have it for years so why start serving it now? I guess to make money, not to keep the family atmosphere.
It only counts if you end with the one in the hole originally left open
