      Sometimes women need to be just with women and I would recommend that trans people come together for their own tailored circles because after reading much on this subject it is a trauma based neurological condition.
      Is there nowhere that women can now no longer be in sacred space.
      The feminine is under a very calculated agenda of attack and trans gender issues is part of that. People need to do a lot more research.
      Biological men should not be in womens circle or womens sports.
      As I said I am all for circles for trans and sports for trans.
      And yes we have lost our sacred BORN AS WOMAN space 😢😢😢

    I found your statement a bit confusing that "only a small amount of women menstruate". Could you clarify please?
    Every healthy biological woman menstruates for at least half of her adult life....

    • @ruthcato
      @ruthcato  2 дні тому

      Sure, Hi Sara. I’m referring to the split between those who are pre-menstrual age, plus those who are post menstruation, together with breast feeling or pregnant women, and also those on the pill, this group of women don’t menstruate. So it’s quite a large number.

    • @saraswatishaktimayi
      @saraswatishaktimayi 2 дні тому

      @@ruthcato Those who are pre-menstrual are not yet women but gils/children, and as you are saying they are "pre-menstrual", so they will menstruate. And pregnant and breastfeeding women wouldn't be in that condition if it wasn't for their menstruation. Every healthy biological woman has the ability to menstruate and is menstruating for about half of her life. There is a lot of confusing information being put out there nowadays in relation to the transgender debate. The only reason why a woman wouldn't have the ability to menstruate is that there is a medical health issue or that she is is transwoman - a woman by gender but biologically a male. This is a very small number of women who don't have a cycle and the ability to menstruate. Sorry for interfering.The information you share is beautiful, but I find it very important to be clear about this point.

    I want to open a circle in my area. I've done it for years attached to my bellydance courses. I've stopped in 2018 and I lost all confidence. I was looking for some tips to make me feel better about starting. Thank you for this jam packed video, lots of info to make me a bit more confident again and to integrate in my structure ❤️

      Welcoming you back to your confidence - when I lose my confidence I remind myself how important and transformational a women's circle is and to allow it to flow thorugh me rather than assuming me in my humaness needs to know everything. Finiding trust in the women, in their stories, in the circle and in the divine, Ruth x

      Great question. I think yes you should join in and share when you feel you want to. We are all in circle together. However sometimes it feels right to be simply holding the space and not joining in, see what feels right for you.

    Thanks so much for sharing this. Im starting my first circle in 2 weeks for mums of children with disabilities (my son is autistic and in the same school as the mums coming). I wanted to offer a space for these women to connect. Im curious about the part where you talked about "when people cry (if they do) to not touch them .. Ive heard this a few times ... My own empathic nature automatically feels like offering comfort (not becasue its uncomfortable for me btw) but becasue I want them to know they are cared for and held in the space....Could it not also feel like people didnt care if they did not offer any kind of gesture that they do.. . Im just wondering where does this idea come from/ why its such a big no no... When setting up a circle for the first time can I ask how would you suggest explaining the rule ? also I heard another rule about not giving advice and wondered if you could go into this a bit more too (examples are very helpful.. thank you ever so much!! xx

      Hi Natasha, how wonderful to be setting up a circle. And such an important group of women to do this for.
      So, crying - this is about boundaries and allowing all of our feelings. If someone has a cry or looks like they are going to cry this is a wonderful thing. They are letting out the feelings they need to let out. As soon as we touch them, make a face, or stop them even in seemingly caring ways, we are taking attention away from their feelings being allowed and shifting focus to the person patting them or coming in for a hug. We want to ensure all feelings are welcome. If you feel uneasy with someone’s sadness, anger, etc it’s important that as a space holder you inquire into what it is about that feeling you maybe need more of in your life.
      I always explain at the beginning of circle about crying, and say if you want to offer comfort pass the tissues to them. But focus on allowing all feelings. We need safer spaces to feel and express our feelings without them being ‘fixed’ for us. This is a listening space.
      I explain this (and would suggest it’s not a ‘rule’ but a suggestion) at the beginning by simply saying “If anyone is looking like they are crying or about to cry, remember we are allowing all feelings, and if you wish to offer comfort pass the tissues to them. Don’t touch them unless they ask or reach out for a hug, because by touching them you are shifting their focus from their feelings to worrying they are upsetting others with their feelings.”
      Same for offering advice - Circle is not the place for that, it’s a space to be present with everything being shared. We are not in discussion. But being witnessed in our humanity.
      X

      I think it's cultural too. I'm Italian and seeing someone crying without comforting them with physical closeness would feel very unnatural and cold for us. On the other hand she makes a good point about letting feelings flow. I think it's good to stay in between but it also depends on the person. That's why running a closed circle is easier than running an open one - you don't know what will happen and how people will react in an open one.
